Have you heard of making lye water with wood ashes for soap making? I hear the resulting soap can be rather harsh.🤷🏻‍♀️ I believe I read that in one of The Little House on the Prairie books.
And I love that baby wrap. Makes for easy hands free smooches.😚😚😚💋💋💋😂🤣

@@TheBereangirl yes! I actually can’t believe I haven’t mentioned that but yes, I’ve read a lot about pioneer soap making and I often think of pioneer women making soap with wood ash. It was much more dangerous! And I have so much respect. I guess I thought everyone knew that about soap but just because I dork out on it I guess I shouldn’t assume others do too 😂

@@wildwoodsandhomestead I didn't realize the ash-lye process was MORE dangerous. Eesh. Come to think of it, I remember reading somewhere in the Bible that the levitical priests used ashes in water for purification. That should have clued me into "the danger" aspect. 😏😂

Thank you so much for your soap recipe! We have a coconut allergy do you have any recipes that don't contain coconut oil? Thank you for a great video

@@happycardosa8149 I’m working on and testing coconut oil free recipes as I have friends and family that are allergic too. Coconut helps to make a hard bar of soap so it’s taking me some time to figure out a good alternative mixture of oils. Thank you so much for watching ☺️❤️

@@wildwoodsandhomestead Thank you so much. I would purchase from your site when your recipes are ready its very hard to find coconut-free soaps. Thanks again!
