Your food always looks so delicious and I love your property! The only thing I hate about your videos are when they end! I could watch your sweet family and listen to you all day long! God bless your sweet and precious family! 😀❤️🙏🏻
Your videos really are a testament to your love of family. The simple life style is what drives me to watch….especially in the chaotic scenarios going on around us. Your channel brings what’s really important to the forefront. Thank you!
Thank you Lisa, this reminds me of growing up in rural Wisconsin, my Mom had a huge organic garden and she was also a forager, including mushrooms like you, she knew where all the secret wild berry patches were in the area, old apple trees and wild asparagus. Your time in the kitchen reminds me of my Mom cooking for our family, food fresh from her garden, your video fills me with gratitude for all my Mom did for me and my family.
I thought for a moment how I'd love more shots of you all sitting down together and eating these amazing meals... but then I realized that it is much more important to keep that time sacred. No cameras or work to be done. I can't imagine the work-life balance with the kind of work you are doing. That being said I am so thankful that there are people in the world like you to help people in the world like me. Thank you for the most important work you are doing here--raising your children! I appreciate that you are not filming all of the time you spend with them because that would certainly change the focus of that precious time. May God bless you all.
Lisa, A quick tip gor the jalapeños: after deseeding them, I place em in very hot salt water for about 30 minutes and it helps to decrease the heat in them.
Lisa, I'm so grateful for your channel and the work you do. Maybe it feels repetitive to you at times... but not to me watching. It is unique to what I run across in my week (weather I'm on YT alot or not). YT serves up a lot of from scratch content for me and you just create something special here online and it is always life giving. Thank you. :)
Lisa, you are such an inspiration! I always say the ones who are truly happiest with their lives and at peace are humble folk like you who live simply and honestly. I love your cosy farmhouse too! I think you have excellent taste!
Lisa, I just love your videos. Your sweet, mild voice with the calming, peaceful music! It is such a beautiful thing you are sharing with us! Thank you!! The food looked lovely! 👏👏👏 My favorite part was when your sweet kiddo said "can I have one"? So darling! 5:02
As an Italian mama 🇮🇹, I can tell you we use this condiment for pasta “burro e salvia” a lot, especially on ravioli or tortelloni or any kind of stuffed pasta. Another idea is to make spaghetti with garlic and hot pepper 🌶️ from the garden, spaghetti aglio e olio. Fry hot peppers with extra vergine olive oil and add some garlic. No Parmesan or cheese on top of this dish.😊 You’ll see, the taste is amazing 🤩 Thank you for sharing your recipes, my family loves them!
@ It’s just some cloves of garlic and hot chilly peppers sautéed in hot extra virgin olive oil for a couple of minutes. They don’t have to be brown. And then add cooked pasta, usually spaghetti. Sauté for 3/4 minutes and that’s it! 😊 simple but super tasty!
I don’t understand how you don’t have over a million followers, especially when there are certain ones similar to yours but not as good as you, who do. You are theee best blogger for your target audience. I would like to see more homeschooling life, that’s how I can across you a few years ago, when I was looking for homeshcoolingnjnspiartion at the beginning of our homeschooling journey…
I watch almost every single one of your videos Erin. They NEVER disappoint. But the Amazing Grace piano music sent this one right over the top. Thank you for blessing my life every time I connect.
We are expecting our 5th child in November 🍁 and I am always popping in and out of the channel to learn more cooking and recipes for baking and meal prep. 👩🍳
You are a pleasure to watch in the kitchen. As a latchkey child who began cooking at age 7 while parents worked, it would be inspiring to see a video of your daughter and / or son who enjoys cooking to prepare a meal for your family.
I love your podcasts! I listen to them while I’m canning, sewing or cleaning. And I don’t homeschool, have children still at home, or do any kind of entrepreneurial business. I just enjoy learning and hearing your guests’ advice! (I really enjoyed the podcast about the micro bakery!) You do such a wonderful job on your videos! Always inspiring!!!🙌🏻🫶🏻
ooh! I just saw a glimpse of your basement "pantry"....maybe a tour sometime? You're from scratch cooking is so inspiring, thank you for sharing your daily life stuff with us!
We find it easier to handle and eat if we crumble up the bacon and add it into the cream cheese mixture when making jalapeño poppers. Try that next time and see whatcha think! 😊
I love your home. I think it is so beautiful and always enjoy watching you Cook your food always looks so delicious and love. Watching the kiddos play in the creek. It takes me back to when I was a child. Went it was simple times We used to get to play in the creeks. Catch lizards and crawdads so much fun. Stuff. Nowadays children just don't do that type of stuff. They just wanna stay on a game system all the time, which is so sad because they're missing out so much. I love your channel. It's just so simple and peaceful. You have a very, very blessed weekend. Thank you so much for sharing.
I make a tourtière (Canadian meat pie) with wild game, sage and ground beef or sausage sometimes when we don’t have summer savory. It’s soooo good. I got a recipe from TH-cam but just throw in thyme and sage sometimes and it’s become a tradition that make for my hubby on his bday!
I make jalapeno popper for the adults. I then take the little sweet peppers and do a mixture of mild sausage cooked and cream cheese. Wrap them in bacon. Great for the younger ones or just anyone who doesn't like the heat. They are good without bacon as well
10:35 I’m a spice wimp, so I stuff snacking/lunchbox peppers instead of jalapeños. Sometimes with meat filling, sometimes cheese & bacon. I love that they freeze so well, either uncooked or cooked, for later use. =)
We have found that freeze drying is a great way to preserve wild mushrooms! Once they are freeze dried we just use them as we normally would, but with a little added water to rehydrate!
Thankyou so much! I've been in the "good enough" phase for a little longer than I'd like and I really needed this encouragement! I also prayed to the lord to be fortunate enough to be a homemaker for my family and I really needed to hear this godly perspective on how I need to be better for my family and for God.
❤Try using the vanilla recipe for ice cream and putting in strawberries, basil, mint with chocolate chunks. SO GOOD! I fed my sourdough starter while watching in the hopes to bake bread for an upcoming camping trip. I think it will be a great treat and want to give loaves of bread as gifts to neighbors at the camp site. 😊
This will be our 6th year homeschooling and I am excited most about my toddlers’ enthusiasm for “doing school” with his older sister. 😊 She is in 5th grade and he is 3, but he wants to do things too. ❤
I love your videos and use a lot of your recipes!! A few years ago my jalapeños weren’t hot at all. They tasted like a sweet pepper. I found out that peppers will cross pollinate and I had planted the sweet peppers too close to the jalapeños. Since then I give them plenty of distance and my jalapeños are consistently hot!! 😁
Lavender gives a wonderful flavor to shortbread cookies. Years ago I first made a Lavender Chicken recipe for a progressive dinner. I found a recipe in the Little Paris Kitchen cookbook. Even those who dislike Lavender thought it was excellent. I've been making it ever since.
Beautiful Summer time in the Farmhouse garden👩🏻🌾 I enjoy your cooking tutorials! Recipe’s r Yum! Music is so enjoyable w/ the sound of ur children in background! ❤😍🫶🏻
Thank for sharing It's amazing how you cook here we're in tomato season too and it's a bliss to eat them everyday I thank everyday the universe to enjoy my own vegetable and fruits From France be blessed 👍😊🙏🏼
Just found your channel! We live in Missouri as well on some land and we also homeschooled our children. They are grown now, but it was such a blessing!
Love you collect and know about mushrooms! In. The summer my steaks need to be grilled. I do my pizzas on the grill with and without a pan. Those popsicles look great. My freezer looks like yours and I have no kids living here anymore.
I use a lot of herbs from my kitchen herb garden but haven’t experimented with the lavender. I think I would like the ice cream. I have a freezer like that and make all our ice cream with raw milk and cream my own fresh eggs and maple syrup or honey and vanilla. I mix it up cold. (Gasp) and freeze it.. we love it.
Love the video Lisa! So many yummy things here, I will say I had never thought of cutting bacon longwise since I also get the thick cut bacon and sometimes it’s too much. Wow that was great, it’s the simple things that get this homemaker happy lol! Love all the work and effort behind your videos! God bless your family greatly ❤
Oh my gosh I could die for them , my best ever I get to eat them only when I’m in Poland and once I found them here at Whole Foods but such a small container and so expensive, but I couldn’t resist ,wow I didn’t know they grow in Missouri. Bon appetit 😘I’m talking about the chanterelles of course.
We add sharp cheddar with the cream cheese for our jalapeño poppers. I also precook the bacon a bit because I want it crunchier than what it normally gets wrapped around the jalapeños. They are my favorite treats.
You’re a real inspiration! I am not a big mushroom fan, but that chanterelle pizza looked amazing! And those red and green jalapeño poppers! So colorful and fun looking!
Another beautiful and inspiring video! You make me want to be a better cook, you're so creative with food, and it looks so delicious, I can't wait to see what you make this fall! ❤

The mushrooms looked amazing!!!! I’m excited about the curriculum this year. We used Simply Charlotte Mason last year and decided to do it again. We are doing a co-op for the first time this year. I love lavender recipes too!

Is it just peppers and garlic or do you also add tomatoes when you cook it? ❤
@@Qtneyjane No tomatoes. It's called spaghetti aglio e olio, so spaghetti garlic and oil. It's a very simple dish with few ingredients.
Sage butter goes well with butter squash ravioli. It's the best in the fall time
yum!!
I absolutely love the lighting in your videos. And the music in this one! So relaxing and beautiful ❤

I watch almost every single one of your videos Erin. They NEVER disappoint. But the Amazing Grace piano music sent this one right over the top. Thank you for blessing my life every time I connect.
Sorry Lisa. Got your name wrong.
I loved your music choice in this video, Lisa! It was very nostalgic sounding.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your quilt hanging on the porch made my heart skip a beat❤
We are expecting our 5th child in November 🍁 and I am always popping in and out of the channel to learn more cooking and recipes for baking and meal prep. 👩🍳
Congratulations!
To help zucchini lasagna be less watery, you can microwave the zucchini slices to begin cooking them, and drain the juice off.
Lisa your videos are so comforting. Thank you.❤❤❤
You are a pleasure to watch in the kitchen. As a latchkey child who began cooking at age 7 while parents worked, it would be inspiring to see a video of your daughter and / or son who enjoys cooking to prepare a meal for your family.
Your videos are so aesthetically pleasing 👍
Thank you so much!!
I like listening to your podcast while I clean ✨ Thank you for being a good example of someone who works hard yet is such a sweet mother as well 😊

I get jalapeños from Walmart all the time and they are the same exact way! There will always be at least one that knocks your socks off!

Jalapeños are always an adventure! We eat a ton in Colorado and you just never know! Larger ones tend to be cooler but not always!❤

Another lovely visit in the Farmhouse on Boone.❤
Oh my word, that pizza looks AMAZING!
Your ice cream looks to die for! We have a big lavender festival where I live every year. I always purchase the dried lavender to make goodies with.
Sounds delightful! We have a Lavendar farm in our area too...so pretty!
This video was a comfort for some reason. Thanks.
I think dried lavender is very beautiful in a dried flower bouquet. I had a fall wedding with a homemade dried wildflower bouquet.

I never thought of eating lavender. I have a beautiful, healthy plant. I've made salves with it, but you have inspired me to now try using it differently.
Looked great
Mushrooms freeze really well 👌🏼
Oh, I am with your husband and other children on the lavender!! The taste is appalling!! Same thing with roses. I love to grow these beauties, and smell them, but I do NOT want to eat them. It's like you are eating perfume, LOL! Your other food looked delicious. :)
Lisa, I love how cozy your kitchen feels in every video 🌿 The sourdough pizza crust is gonna be my next weekend project! I can't wait to see how it turns out 🍕✨
My homegrown jalapeños are exactly the same. It’s a game of heat roulette!
Lisa has inspired my life ! ❤️✨
We forage chanterelles also and they are great dehydrated or canned! I crumble up the dehydrated ones in sausage gravy for breakfast or rehydrate them to add to eggs. The canned ones are great in pastas and casseroles!
Lisa, I always enjoy hanging out in the kitchen with you! Not sure I would like lavender ice cream. But I’ll try anything once, well almost anything. 😬 love how the boys hover as they get hungry! I’m sure the aroma from the kitchen fuels that hunger!😉 love the creek, such a fun place to play!
Nothing like the smell of food to bring the kiddos to the kitchen...works every time!
Thanks for sharing! Loved the calm music in the background too. So peaceful to watch 😊
Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
I loved watching this idyllic life today! Great recipes as usual, you look so lovely in your beautiful smocked dress and pinafore apron!💕🙏🙏🕊🙌🏻
The drier and hotter temps make the peppers spicier! The mire water they get will tone them down a bit!
The mushrooms looked amazing!!!! I’m excited about the curriculum this year. We used Simply Charlotte Mason last year and decided to do it again. We are doing a co-op for the first time this year. I love lavender recipes too!
Your videos are soo calming.❤
I'm excited that we don't have kids in school anymore!!! Those were some hard, busy days!
