Jay, I always appreciate your straight forward input. Thanks for the video. I am trying to choose which of these bikes to buy. There are many SXF available on CL for a good price - very few XCF. I'm 100% enduro, GP, trails, so the choice should be XCF for me.
But doesn’t the 350 xcf have less horsepower than 350 sxf like 10-15 less ? I haven’t rode in 20 years and am want to get back into it again (I’m 60) will be riding some trail and some track washougal mx and Albany sx (outdoor track) last bike was a 98 kx 250 having no luck in finding a 2021 sxf. Have also considered getting a 350 Husqvarna fc or fx Anyway love your videos keep up the great work.
@@dirtbiketv1 that’s good I was getting confused because I was seeing that sxf had 58 hp and the xcf had like 39 hp. Which discouraged me a little because I kind of want the XCf since I’ll be riding track and trail I even been looking at the Husqvarna‘s
Couple questions..you had the suspension done so worked well after on bigger jumps? You can remove the kickstand? Can the gas tank be replaced with something more Moto x looking?
Not a easy answer. But I prefer a 250 on the track etc. however I want to modify them to make faster. So for this reason I think a 350 is best for most guys. A 450 too much.
I am coming from a yz250 Woods bike, looking at the 450 xcf or the 350 xcf-w. I mainly ride East Coast Woods and I go to Durhamtown. which of the two 4 strokes mentioned would be a better choice?
Hey jay, I have the 19 350 xcf. Have you had any issues with the cam chain tensioner on any of your 4 strokes, I bought the dirt tricks for mine because it doesn't work about half the time, but I only have 12hrs but dirt tricks says not to change it until 20hrs on the motor. Your opinion is gold... thanks
Hey, Jay, I think the gearing you've listed for 1st, 3rd, and 4th on the SX-F aren't correct...my calculator says they should be 1.75, 1.611, and 1.381. That seems like a huge space between 4th and 5th, so maybe the ratios listed for those gears aren't correct.

Correct. the xc-f
Great comparison video. That XCF is an awesome bike!
Thanks for the video!
Excellent info as always love the video,s
"EXC: Enduro/Cross-Country These had a wide ratio gear box and the headlight/taillight stock". And "F" is for "four stroke".
I like Jay because he's a dirt biker's dirt biker.
and he gets straight to the point and doesn't drag out his videos
XC-Fs have always been my favorites. Super versatile. If all you do is race SX/MX, then go with the SX-F.
Many thanks for including the gear ratios. So is it my understanding that 1st-3rd on the SXF is slightly lower?
Email Jay with any questions. Contact info in About tab.
That helps a lot👍
Nice video. I would get the XC-F too.
Good choice!
Me too👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yes and yes can remove stand-- yes you can use a SXF tank
just picked up a 350 exc f,, I guess the main difference is the exc-f is dual sport and has less power?
Hey Jay is the 350 more like a 250 or 450? And what do you prefer the 250 or 350?. And I enjoy your vids really informative.

It’s more like a 250 with some extra power. Definitely not like a 450 lol
Hi Jay have you used GET ECUs too? I was just about to go Vortex but went the other way due to more maintenance and adjustment options.
I think the vortex a bit better long term so far and better tune ability from engine builders
Man i just want my 350 xcfw back 😭😭
XCF Kickstand life!
Do you speed up the go pro video cuz it looks like you’re going really fast??
LoL

350 for woods , 450 is too much .

I have a 17’ 350 XC-F and just ordered a Vortex from Tokyo mods. Does twisted development have better maps?
I have not compared directly.
Good vid ,do the 350 ,s vibrate more than the 450 ,s ? Cheersd.
Less than a 450 for sure-- more than a 250 -- -
Most pros from WSS use 350 for racing there more open events.
When he said softer stock i was like nnnaaahhh ima get the 350 sxf (i only ride tracks)
You enjoying that bike?

They were from KTM
Does the XC have more bottom end than the SX?
less
but you can gear either one to whatever you want
My lap times on trails are always faster on my ktm sxf250 than my sxf450
the most fast dirt bike the sxf250
Yz250x or yz250x?
Those are both the same-- You mean FX ? I choose FX
Tm 300
