    If you’ve ever wished you could control the warmth of your bedding, this review is for you. The Bedjet Climate Control System is carefully crafted to offer sleepers the ability to regulate their bed (and body) temperature while they sleep. But how do you use it and how well does it actually work?
    Sleepopolis maintains an affiliate relationship with some of the products reviewed, which means we get a percentage of a sale if you click over from our video (at no cost to our viewers). Also, many mattress and sleep product companies send us their products for free with the hope that we will like it and review it. However, there is certainly no guarantee that we will review it favorably. See our full disclosures here: sleepopolis.com/disclosures/
    BedJet founder Mark Aramli first introduced his climate control system on an episode of the reality TV series Shark Tank in 2015. Unfortunately for Aramli, the BedJet was unanimously rejected by the show’s celebrity investors. But that didn’t stop him from launching a crowdfunded Kickstarter campaign which proved to be very successful, and propelled the company to where it is today.
    Fast forward to 2019, and you can find three different BedJet models sold by many popular retailers like Amazon, Brookstone, and Bed, Bath and Beyond. In this review, we’ll be taking a close look at the newest BedJet model - the BedJet3.

    My perfect mattress would be a Tempurpedic with BedJet technology built INTO the mattress, so that air gets gently blown through the inner foam layers, to keep the mattress cooler throughout the night. One can dream.

    I know this review is from 2019, however, I'm sure there are other shoppers like myself considering this item and checking out reviews. I have the Chilipad. I purchased two in March 2021. Within the first few months of owning it, I had to send it back twice due to it sounding like a jet taking off and not being able to sleep through the noise. Recently, I had to send it back again as the pump stopped working. I have become incredibly co-dependent on a cool nights sleep, so I haven't slept in the last 2-weeks. They received the unit last Monday and told me it would take 10-14 days for repair and then another week to get it back to me. I didn't think I would actually NEED a cool bed to sleep..but now I can't sleep without it! Despite my issues with ChiliSleep, I actually bought a refurb in hopes it would arrive quickly and then I would have a back-up. But guess what? None in stock and another 10-14 day wait. Enough is enough! I'm buying a BedJet! Hopefully it doesn't have the same issues. BTW..the 2nd unit I purchased was for a family member who just sent me video of squealing sounds coming from it! Looks like I have to go through all the hoops again to get it back to them for repair! 😡🤬😡 Update: Received my BedJet 3 and have had for 5-great nights of sleep!😴 I set up my Biorhythm and ooolala! I love that if I pay attention, I can feel the cool air coming through the sheet! Oh yes, get their sheet! It's not just 2 sheets sewn together..one side allows the air to penetrate to your body. It's a must! Enjoy!

    This is an amazing idea and i wonder how well it stays put if someone tosses and turns all night? I love the idea of being able to cool down or warm up a bed like this and am amazed at all of the tech coming out to help with better sleeps. I would for sure buy the cloud sheet for the best that it offers. I love the ability to control everything with a remote and that you can choose between nice and cool and pretty warm. Great concept.

      If you (like I) have a tendency to sleep high on the bed, grab the sheets and comforters and pull UP to wrap around your head, you may pull the sheet too high up. If you just roll over and over, back and forth (as I do) pulling sheets with you it's not a problem. The attachment at the end of the bed has some (light) clips that attach to any sheet and help hold it in place.

    What a unique & great idea! I sleep with 2 fans on year round lol, ceiling fan & floor fan on my face/upper body. Having a remote & heat option is interesting. Not sure how I'd like the sound on top of my usual fans.

      I normally sleep with an air purifier on in the room, so I like white noise. When my wife's BedJet is on 100% I'm a little annoyed by the extra noise, but only a little. At lower fan speeds (which we both use most of the time) the fans are quiet enough that you don't hear them at all, especially over the air purifier.

      My wife and I have two (one for each side of the king bed). At 100% fan it is definitely audible. (Not sure if I'd call it "loud", but it's medium+). At 40% fan speed with the unit under the bed (not outside as she has it) I can't hear it. And when I'm trying to sleep (not regulate temperature quickly) I tend to run it at 15%-25%.

    Great review! I think this is the option for me. I’m a year round hot sleeper. And the chili pad seems expensive, and always having to fill the water tank, drain it etc. the noise wouldn’t bother me. I’m used to sleeping with a fan on.

      Did you buy the BedJet? I have 2 Chili's and within 1-year had to return one twice because it sounded like a jet taking off (in 2021). Then in May 2022, had to send in again because the pump stopped working. BTW.. the one I bought my mom started doing the same thing (squealing, etc.). It takes 1-week to get to them, 10-14 days for repair and another week to get it back to you. It's so easy to become co-dependent on the pad and cool sleeping, so I haven't slept since it went in. Going to buy the BedJet..hopefully it's more reliable!

    Just got the bedjet3 today. My wife and I have a split king so got the one for split king (obviously) very nice option to have. She is always cold and I’m always hot. When I sleep at night I have a Dyson fan blowing on me and my wife is all wrapped up in blankets. Have the ceiling fan going all the time too and a room air purifier, so I welcome another white noise machine. Can’t wait to hook it all up and give it a try tonight. By the way good review you did and also the install video. Hate reading manuals 🤣

Haven’t really used the cooling setting this summer that much, wife is going through menopause and having hot flashes so the a/c for the house is set nice and low. I used it a lot durning the winter months to help take the chill out of the bed.

Does the cool air flow under the back at all? If not, would it still help to buy it then? Should I go with a water based system instead?

    • @gavinkistnerus3895
      @gavinkistnerus3895 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be fine, IMHO. The attachment point is a big clip that gets stuck under your mattress, and then the flexible tube clips on to this. You can put it at the bottom of your bed or in the side. Either way, even if the bottom of the bed moves up and down, as long as you have enough slack in the hose it should rise and fall with the bed without problem. The only concern I would have is if the noise of the hose rubbing against any frame would be obnoxious as it happens.

    I have one of these and I will tell you, the Bedjet does not go any cooler than whatever your room temp is. So if your room is 70, you can not have 66. That being said, I LOVE my BedJet 3 so much. I have the Cloud sheet and that makes a huge difference. It works fine without, but it works better with it.

    • @valeryjohnson7937
      @valeryjohnson7937 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      WHAT? Then what's the point? Same temp as I would get lying naked on my bed? If so, useless to me. Plus where does it say that on their website? The video clearly implies that you can have the temperature you want at anytime, in any season. So it works like my fan, hot air... darn it, I so need a solution other than air conditioner in my window...

      As a satisfied user, I can say that if you have a bed that you can put it under (not outside the bed, as this review has it) then if you run it at a lower fan speed it can be quiet enough that you can't hear it. At 100% fan it is definitely medium-loud. At 40% fan I can no longer hear it, and when falling asleep I usually find that fans over 25% is more air than I want.

    Question: what's the point of setting the cooling temperature when the unit doesn't actually produce cooled air? It just blows room temperature air (in fact, BedJet says this won't work well if your room temp is 79 F degrees.)

    • @Chris-ji4iu
      @Chris-ji4iu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It probably has an evaporative cooler ...so it will cool to a certain extent, but only if the room is cooler. (The Ooler/Chilipad works the same way.) Air circulation is also a big factor because it generates heat no matter what the setting.
      I certainly would have like to see this addressed in the review - or did I miss it?

    I've asked bedjet themselves and on Facebook a few times with no response. We ordered the double system because we roast in summer, and I sweat literally year round sleeping LOL but after we purchased, I found out that they say not to use it in a room over 79*. Our room gets very warm in summer, usually 85-88 some nights, there is no ac in that room, and cannot be installed in that room. Has anyone actually used one of these in a room hotter than 79*? If so, did it work, or no?

      Benjamin Franklin, I intend to use this in lieu of turning my ac on at night. Since I live alone, I don’t see why I need to have my entire house unit on, when the only place I really care about to be cold in, is in my bed.
      Since you mention that it’s sucks cool air from the ground, does that mean if my house is hot, it’s never gonna blow 68 degree air like it claims?

    • @BMF604
      @BMF604 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gobi Vertefeuille yeah pretty much I’m guessing. Usualy there’s cooler air on the ground because warm air rises and just like they tell people to crawl on the ground if your ever in a burning building where there’s smoke because it all rises towards the ceiling and there’s clearer air on the ground. But ya there’s no mechanism in the unit to create cold air like Michael said so it all really depends on your rooms consistent temperature at night.
