    I had just ordered a bed jet 3 and as I got the email stating it was shipped and on the way I saw your review and panicked. When I received the bed jet I decided to give it a try. I am a 67 year old woman and it I put it together in about 10 minutes. I did buy the bed sheet that bed jet sells as an extra purchase. I turned the bed jet on high speed and like you said it filled with air and hovered over the bed. Then I read the instructions that states you can put a blanket or comforter over the sheet. Problem solved. I live in very hot humid climate in the summer and very cold in the winter. I usually wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Using the bed jet, for the first time I finally had a great night sleep. I did not have to have the fan at 100%. I had it on 50% and the temperature at 72. Under the covers it stayed that temperature all night. It not only keeps me cool but dry as well. I am sorry you did not like the bed jet for yourself but for me it is the best purchase I have ever made!

    I love my Bedjet. It’s been my trusty nighttime companion for 5 years. I tuck it under a flat sheet and tuck the sides. I use little bungee cords to strap the flat sheet around the hose to secure the airflow. I have a all year down comforter on top. It billows a little when I run the fan at 100%. It doesn’t billow at all if you lower the fan speed. We live in the muggy deep South and it’s been a life saver.

My sheets blow up and hover over me if i am running it wide open too. But if you give the air a way to escape and turn the fan speed down you do not have that problem. Hope you find my experienced user opinion helpful ! Happy sleeping.

Like you aswell I'm not so concerned about the purchase thanks to the 60 day trial they offer which is fantastic I think. Yeah I have noticed a misconception about the bedjet 3 it's only going to keep you cool if you're home or bedroom for that matter is already cool as well I have a mini split air conditioner in my bedroom so I'm not cooling the whole house with my bedjet the ambient temperature still needed to be pretty darn cool for it to keep me cool in my bed I still keep my mini split thermostat set at 60° because the air the bedjet the cool is based on the ambient Air temperature if your ambient air is 75° and it will be blowing 75° air on you.
    And on top of all that to keep it from inflating my covers like a air balloon I had to use a heavy quilt instead of a light comforter.

    Great video great Honest review . I wanted to make my own and did my own work to make one .All you need to do is add another cover on top medium weight and then it will hug to you just enough . or if you want like a space bed you can put wire frame around your bed lay mattress cover on it and it will keep you cool but you Won't have any blanket on you its like sleeping in sheet less room it works great . I built one and I need to build a bigger one next AND CONVERTING 2 tiny computer fans on each side and a dryer hose will move the air and you wont hear it at all.

    Great video! Well structured and very informative! As for the sheets lifting off you when it's on, there's been several reviews where this was pointed out, so it's pretty well-known. To give you the kind of cooling you're talking about while keeping the cover tight would likely require a sealed liquid system as with air it needs a channel to escape. But you could imagine an electric blanket as a comparison to a liquid cooled blanket just even stiffer, and no one wants that. Either way, thanks for a great video!

    I have a bedjet 3 and am very happy. I at first didn't like the sheets floating above me until i figured out that if i gave the air a way to escape ie. letting the air escape on either side of my body the sheet doesn't blow up as much because the air can not escape as fast as its coming in. Another thing i have done is turning the bedjet down to like 30% to give the air a chance to escape around me and the sheets don't blow up. Looking forward to the winter when i get to use the heat option. I sleep with just shorts on because i do not like the encumbered feeling of pj's. Will be dialing in the right temp. I think it's going to be better than a electric blanket !

    I kinda had a feeling the product would perform the way you experienced. Although We do use a weighted blanket and some small dogs, I think that the so-so cooling ability would be the main dealbreaker for me. We're in Alabama and I'm a super hot sleeper and our Tempurpedic mattress doesn't exactly help with the cooling either (quite the opposite).
    Chilisleep going bankrupt and having reliability issues and everything with them just sort of being a huge mess right now only leaves 8Sleep and for that price, I'm out. I can just throw the covers half way off and be fine. Hopefully Chilisleep's new owner can sort out some of the reliability problems and customer service issues becuase the little cube looks perfect.

    • @flochfitness4271
      @flochfitness4271  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I appreciate your perspective!
      Agreed the 8 sleep is out of range for most people. On top of that, you have to have a reoccurring monthly membership, which really doesn’t fit with this kind of product IMHO.
      Would love to see chilisleep make a comeback, as this space needs multiple competitors with different price points. Ultimately, I’d like everyone to be able to leverage a better nights sleep. And temperature control is one of the best ways of optimizing sleep.

    I bought 2, one for my side and one for my SO. She's always cold, so she uses the heating part of the fan. I, of course, use the cooling. Yes, we got fan sheets. To heat, it's GREAT. To cool, not so much. Once you put sheets on it, it greatly reduces its effectivenes. It needs to be like a heat exchanger flow system, instead of the air hockey in your bed system. Tubes in the pad with forced draft and induced draft fans to keep the air flowing, therfore PULLING heat out from under the covers.

      Hey Bennett! Good call, but I had issues with anything over 20% power. And when the fan was that low it wasn’t doing anything to cool. I am not sure about Ry w thread count, but maybe that plays a part

      @@flochfitness4271 How would the air circulate though if the sheets are actually and fully making contact with skin/clothing? Either the sheets are loose-weave enough to float or they are heavy enough to block the flow. So, yes, just having a ceiling fan and summer-weight sheets in an air-conditioned room would be better.

    Well, good to know it went up in price this much in just a few months! This review is from April 2021 and he said it cost $329 w/ $50 coupon and here in August 2021 it costs $499 for the base unit! I don't think inflation affected things that much, seems like a money grab. No coupons available that I see, so that is quite a lot more money and you still have to buy the expensive sheets that don't even come in black. I'm thinking not.

    When you say it isn't for warmer more humid weather my issue is I live in Texas where it gets in the 100s in the summer but drops below zero and snows in the winter. I'm not sure if I would mind the fact that it floats especially in the winter because the comforter is super thick so I think it will make it lay down. My issue is when you say it doesn't really function the best by not cooling efficiency. Did it not get air all over or just mainly on your feet. I'm a beyond hot sleeper and I've just been recently diagnosed with severe insomnia so needing help here hahaha. If you can share your inputs on that thank you once again
