    ABOUT
    You can use the BedJet 3 to both cool and warm you in bed. A base unit sits next to or under your bed and contains a forced air system to pump air through the nozzle. You can have it flow directly over your body, or inside the BedJet boxed Cloudsheet to improve the spread of the cool or warm air and reduce how much you feel it flowing over your body.
    It's great that you can control both the speed of the airflow and also the temperature. You can also set timers, and program different temperatures throughout the night. For example, you could have cooling while you fall asleep, nothing for several hours, and then warming when you wake up - or vice versa.

      Thanks for sharing your experience Mario. I agree that it's most effective when the room isn't ridiculously hot, as the Bedjet has its limitations. But the cool air flow it creates feels amazing, and is great for keeping the discomfort of sweat at bay. The noise isn't too bad at all, and yes, in winter it's an incredibly effective heating system!

    I have this product, its great, because of the airflow your quilt does not stick to your body on warm nights and feels really dry and clean. You defo need the cloudsheet for cooling thought as your feet feel cold even with low air flow. The heat feels amazing as is.

    Great review! I watched several other videos and read reviews but I have a question that nobody seems to address. I'm a back sleeper and my back gets really hot. Does the cool air flow under the back at all? If not, would it still help to buy it then? Should I go with a water based system instead?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, glad you liked it. No, the air doesn't flow under your back. But I find that when it's on, if my back feels too hot, I can turn to my side for a little while, and it will cool my back and the part of the bed I was lying on pretty quickly. But sure, in general a water based system would probably be more effective for your specific needs rather than constantly turning over to cool yourself down.
      You could check out the Ooler sleep system for example, which works very well: trk.chilisleep.com/aff_c?offer_id=2&aff_id=1708

    Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing the BedJet V3 for myself because I often wake up feeling too hot. My wife is the same way but she is skeptical about trying this product on her side of the bed. Do you recommend getting the Single zone queen size cloud sheet or the dual zone cloud sheet now, just in case she changes her mind later and wants to get her own unit?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, to be honest I'm not sure what would be the best approach. My instinct tells me that if she is already skeptical, perhaps it's best to go with her feeling about it and get the one that allows you to keep it just on your side. You could also try it without the cloudsheet at first, as if you have the cool air on a gentle setting on your side, she might not feel it much anyway, depending on the covers you have and how close you sleep, and the level of cooling you set it on. But I guess you could do that as a test, and order the cloudsheet later if you think it might be better. That way you could potentially save a bit of money.

    Hi thanks for the great review, great job! Two questions:
    1) Will the system work well if we have carpet? Will dust get into the unit or will the unit overheat?
    2) Does the remote controller/system allow switching the units from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

    • @nosleeplessnights1

      You're welcome Vjiu. It's fine to use with a carpet as far as I'm aware. I don't think there will be a problem with overheating or dust. There is a filter which needs a quick rinse every month or two anyway. I don't know if you can switch from F to C - good question! I'll send them an email to ask and get back to you.

      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks RC. To be honest, I'm not sure! If your AC was on 67 and you still felt the bed was hot, it makes me wonder if the mattress or topper you use are the problem - in which case air flowing over your body might not help you stop feeling like the surface under you is too hot. Are you using memory foam by any chance?

    • @JC-bl9bo
      @JC-bl9bo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nosleeplessnights1 yes exactly what I was thinking. I think that may be the real issue.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought it might be. If you have good air con and are happy using it generally, I would consider experimenting with the sleeping surface before spending money on a device which might not really address the actual problem. I talk about some different options for cooling pads (and the bedjet again) on an article on my website which you might find helpful: www.nosleeplessnights.com/cooling-mattress-pad/
      But if you have access to a different style mattress, or topper, perhaps try that first to see if it helps.

    Can you put it underneath of a standard fitted bed sheet ? Or do you need to get the cloud sheet and have that over you ? Or under you

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You don't have to use the cloud sheet if you don't want to. The main benefit is keeping the temperature to one side of the bed, as well as a more even spread. But it's fine with normal bedding.
      However, I wouldn't put it under a tight fitted bed sheet, as the air wouldn't flow. I would put it either between a normal loose sheet and the duvet/comforter/blanket if you use one. Or under under the sheet or bedding so the air hits your body directly.
      It's personal preference as to whether you want to feel the air directly on your legs mostly, or use your bedding to reduce the sensation of air flowing on your skin a little.
      Hope that answers your question!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jon. Good question! It would make it much less effective, unfortunately. If it's a single weighted blanket, and it's you that wants the cooling on your side, then it would still work. If she wants the cooling as well, the weight would stop the air from reaching the entire body.

    Would this possibly be helpful for a person who sweats at any temperature and has chills (can be both at same time). Mattress vendors keep talking about the cooling affects of their beds. That is enough to make me not want to buy them. I need heat while “dry” sounds like a dream. My old hot tub used to be quite toasty at 103°. Blowing air sound chilly. 72 degree Fahrenheit feels cold to me if it is blowing. Is there any hope for me from your product?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Shelley, just to be clear, this isn't my product - I'm an independent reviewer.
      In answer to your question, I'm not sure is my honest answer. I don't entirely understand your needs, so I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you that this will definitely be the answer. It does blow dry, warm air if that is what you need, and you can control the temperature really well. In some ways, it does heating better than the cooling as there is more temperature range and it's easier to heat than cool. So if I were you, I would check that you can easily get a refund if it doesn't work for you, and only get a single unit as a test.

    When our summer is about 35C come July/August, would you say this can actually let me sleep comfortably?!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on what the temperature is inside your bedroom, assuming it's not 35C inside as well? If it is 35C for some reason, then it won't cool you as much as you might hope for I think. But if it's lower than that because your home is set up to reduce some of the heat building up, then it should help. But really, it's impossible to predict based on the outside temps.

      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're very welcome! The best way to achieve that is to put it at the base of the bed in the middle pointing up towards you. As long as you don't have heavy bedding, the air should flow pretty well in a double bed. But you will feel it more by your lower body than upper.

      No Sleepless Nights ohhh alright thanks but I’ve seen a product called the right pod not sure if you’ve heard of it but it’s a water cooling bed so I might buy that instead it is quite expensive for a mattress but if you ask me from the reviews I’m seeing i think it’s well worth it. Check it out if you have the time I think you would like it

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean the eight pod? Yes, those types of cooling systems are arguably more effective in some ways. More expensive, and with more equipment and maintenance, but if you want the most cooling right under your body, they might be better. It really depends on the person though - for some, a cool air flow is preferable to a water system. It's personal preference.

      No Sleepless Nights yes the eight pod my bad you know how auto correct is haha. I think I’d like the eight pod better because it’s going around my whole body at once rather than starting cold at my feet and just making my upper half feel cool

    what about uniformity? how well does it cool overall? do your feet get colder than the rest of your body, or does it spread evenly? what about the little plastic duct, do you find yourself kicking it or anything like that?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you use it with the Cloudsheet, the cooling is more uniform as it spreads inside the boxed cover that then lies on top of you. If you don't use it, then the cooling (or heating) is much stronger in the area where the nozzle is placed. So if you naturally put it further down the bed, your feet and legs will get the main effect. After that, it kind of depends on how heavy your covers are and how much they hug your body.
      As for the plastic nuzzle and duct, it depends on how big your bed is, how long your legs are and how close to the edge of the bed you sleep.

  • @gwmkwan
    @gwmkwan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    would the cooling still work in tropical area? like 35 to 40C?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It might help you feel a little cooler, as the forced stream of air has a nice cooling feel to it. But the company itself says it's best when temperatures in the room are not excessively warm. So if it's hitting 35 in your bedroom, I think air conditioning would be a much more effective option if you have it. The Bedjet might help the lower half of your body feel nicer, but the ambient heat will win the battle in the top half of your body I suspect.

  • @bluetooth2520

    This device is always shown with light weight blankets that allow the air to move. Does it work with a heavy comforter or weighted blanket that some people enjoy the feel of.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will vastly reduce the way the air spreads under the covers, and therefore the cooling or warming effect. If you only want the air to reach one part of your body, such as your lower legs, it would be fine. But if you'd like it to spread across your whole body, a weighed blanket would block the airflow a lot, and the heavy comforter somewhat as well.

    So 18 egrees is the lowest it goes? Does it feel cool? I'm wanting to use this even in the winter where my room will be below 18 to begin with but I always feel warm under the sheets. Would it make a difference if the room Is below 18? I'm guessing under the sheets the temperature is still above 18 due to body heat so it should still do the job!? Thanks!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jani. According to the specs in the manual, it won't go colder, no. It does definitely feel cool to me when I use it.
      Your question is interesting, and not something I'd thought about personally. I think it would still be useful if you tend to feel warm in bed, because your body heat can get trapped under the covers and raise the temperature even when the room is cooler.
      As another example, I gave my BedJet 2 to a good friend a while back because he always gets hot feet and legs, even in the winter. He says he sticks his feet out of the covers and has the BedJet blowing over them so it doesn't bother his partner and he still gets the additional cooling effect even when the room is already cool. Apparently the feeling of the air is nicer than just sticking his legs out of the covers into a cooler room. Perhaps the air flow helps keep sweat at bay too. So I think it would be helpful in the winter as long as the temperature under the sheets is warm because of your body heat getting trapped there.
      But really, you might also be better off just getting some really lightweight cotton covers instead. For me, that's usually the best way to deal with heat buildup in the cooler months. If the room is already cool, all you need to do it make sure your body heat can escape efficiently from under the covers. A good quality cotton cover with a very lightweight comforter or duvet inside might do the trick. And don't add extra layers, as layers is often what ends up trapping the heat in.

      I don't think it would be very effective. I'm not sure what you're thinking of exactly, but if you tried to put the nozzle under a fitted sheet, I can't imagine enough air would flow through it to make much of a difference to how it feels to you. I could imagine the cooler air (maybe) arriving at one part of your body where the nozzle is aiming towards, but not flowing around you much.

      @@nosleeplessnights1 really and this looks a great machine and you can't get it in England I saw it on a TV show and I looked it up because me and my wife get really hot in bed even in the winter and she has eczema and that makes her get hot. I was so gutted they don't sell them or something like them in England

    Do I need two separate jet beds for my spouse and I for each side ?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if you want to independently change the temperature/air flow on each side. But if it's just one of you that has a problem with the temp, you can just get one BedJet to save some money.

    Does this actually heat the air

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it does Sam. Unlike the cooling, where it draws cooler air from under the bed and forces it out of the nozzle to create a cooling effect, the device does actually heat the air.
      So really, the heating is arguably better than the cooling in my opinion. The maximum heat setting is insanely hot, if that's your cup of tea. But you can set it to a wide range of temperatures to suit you.

    Does cold air seep out throughout the sheets?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Interesting question! I hadn't really thought about it that way, as I just appreciate the general cooling effect from using the sheet. There don't seem to be any random streams of air coming out of different parts of the sheet, if that's what you mean. Any air escaping from the internal section and into your bed must be doing so at such a low rate that you don't feel air blowing onto your body as such. Just a general feeling that it's cooler than without it.

    If we wanted this for both sides of the bed would it work? Both my husband and I get so hot

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you get a dual zone, then yes because you can both point your own fan nozzle towards your individual bodies. It's more expensive to buy two though.
      If you just get a single unit, there are a few factors that come into play. Do you have a huge bed and sleep with space between you, or snuggle closer in the middle? The air is best felt closer to the nozzle, so that can affect how much cooling you each feel, and on which parts of your body. Do you sleep with covers, in which case the air will only circulate as much as the covers allow (heavier covers = less air circulating). Are you happy to pay extra for the cloud sheet so the air fills that and spreads more evenly across the bed?
      I think you can make it work with two people with a single zone, but might take some experimenting with the positioning and the set up. Dual zones, and there's no problem cooling both sides.

    I don't get what the difference is between this and just using a thin sheet with a fan pointed at you...

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are many differences. A key one concerning the sheet is that the cloud sheet is boxed, with two layers essentially keeping the air inside. A thin sheet would mean the air flows directly over your skin. Another one is that a normal fan can't heat you.
      If you have a fan and it does a perfectly good job of keeping you cool, then sure, save your money and don't get the BedJet. If it doesn't, and you want more power, options, and control, then it's worth spending some time to understand if it might work for you.

    how robust is the connection of the hose to the blanket?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The cloud sheet (I assume that's what you mean by blanket) has holes which are larger than the tube part. You need to angle the nozzle to get it into the holes though as the wider end of the nozzle is wider than the diameter of the holes. Then there are plastic snap clips to keep it in place - the kind that are used to fasten some duvets. I didn't have a problem with the hose dropping out of the holes personally as the clips are quite strong and the nozzle being wider than the hole once it's inside helps to reduce the pressure placed on the clips as some of the material holds it in place.
      So I think it's quite robust, but obviously those clips have the potential to weaken over a very long period of time. If that did happen, I imagine it would be a simple and relatively low cost job for a tailor if it's out of warranty.

      @@nosleeplessnights1 Thank you! I was wanting to get this for my wife and this blanket would be dedicated to her as she tends to wrap her self up and its too to hear that the tube wont just fall out

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're welcome. Keep in mind that the single version doesn't come with a cloud sheet. You need to buy that separately. It's only if you buy a larger size with double units that the the cloud sheet is included in the price, enabling you to keep the air to one side of the bed because of the way the cloud sheet is constructed.
      So my advice is to read the details on their website carefully to make sure you get the right set up for your wife.

    Our sheet and blanket NEVER stay in one place. I don't see how dual climate would be effective or if the fan at all will be effective with sheets being moved around often.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David. The cloud sheet is actually surprisingly heavy, which helps keep it in place on the bed. It's effective in that there is a seal in the middle, so the air it kept inside the chamber on one side. But if you're worried about sheets moving around, perhaps you change positions a lot in the night too, which would have an impact. But if your instinct is telling you it wouldn't work for you, then I'd trust your gut feeling and look for a better alternative that would suit you better.

      Do you mean the cloudsheet on the bed, or the box under your bed? Either way, I know what you mean - you do have to accept some bulk with the BedJet. But I'm not sure there are many devices that do active cooling and heating and don't have a large unit to make it happen. Maybe in the future!
