- On January 6, 2021 Delia was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. This was completely unexpected and has altered the trajectory of our lives for the foreseeable future. We discuss how we found out she had cancer, what her diagnosis was, her prognosis and steps to recovery as well as what this means for our future. We have struggled with infertility for several years and this is yet another roadblock to our goal of a full family. We continue to look forward with faith and hope. Delia has handled the news, her chemotherapy treatments and side effects with complete and utter grace. Her strength is inspiring and has been a gift given from God. We share a message of awareness to all so that others can be proactive and smart with their bodies to prevent the possible calamities of a cancer diagnosis. We appreciate the love, prayers and ongoing support. I kindly ask that all continue to pray for our lovely Delia.

I was diagnosed at age 25 with triple negative breast cancer stage 3. I couldn’t afford to freeze my eggs. Did chemotherapy,bilateral mastectomy &radiation.
I am now 29 & I was able to get pregnant.I am 14 weeks its my miracle baby ❤️

Hi Delia, I’m going through the same thing. Breast cancer stage 2. 47 days after I got engaged I went to the doctors and right there and then I was diagnosed. I cried so much. I’m only 25 years old. It’s been a long journey. I went through chemotherapy, 2 surgeries, and radiation. Next month I will get a pet scan. Praying everything goes well. Praying for you, you are not alone. God is with us all the time!♥️ love you!

Dylan and Delia. I feel compelled to let you know. We have a very close friend that went through fertility treatments and also was diagnosed with cancer. They now have 2 beautiful children naturally and have a clear bill of health. I just needed you to know it will be all okay. Love and prayers.
All those medical chemical pills, procedures cause cancer. Traditional medicine is supposed to make evetybody sick and depopulate us. People should just stop messing with all those medical and other chemicals. Our body is organic, so we should consume only organic things, not non-organic chemicals. Only natural things can help you. Learn hollistic medicine and you'll be fine. Get better

No one knows for certain why either of these folks got dealt the hand they did; our job as human beings isn’t to finger wag it’s to show compassion and hold space- especially when someone is sick.

This beautiful couple can't catch a break! First infertility and his cancer and now her cancer. I just pray kids are in their future.

I hate it when people announce that you're going to be ok, everythings going to be brilliant,,blah blah,,, it is not the right encouragement to give to people..I am a Stage 4 cancer patient and was once told by my surgeon that I was cancer free..9 months later I was having a tumour removed from my liver,,which is apparantly exactly what a cancer would do,,, positivity mixed with a splash of reality is what is needed I think,,In the meantime, I wish you well

I am 26 years old and was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma (skin cancer) on Jan 8th, 2021. I was also treated at MD Anderson, they have the best team and thanks to them I am now cancer free. Wishing you a great recover and you are in great hands! God bless!

I am a 5 year survivor of Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. Getting a cancer diagnosis is devastating. But I can see Delia has her faith, an extremely positive attitude and is surrounded by great family and friends. That support is so important. She is at one of the best cancer hospitals in the US. Thank God for great doctors and modern medicine. I will be thinking and praying for her.

I am an almost 10 year Breast Cancer survivor. Was diagnosed 9/14/2011 at age 33, Stage 3c with 15 positive lymph nodes. I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, chemo and radiation. God is with you! Lean on everyone! You can and will get through this! Xoxo 😘

Thank God you healthy I'm also breast cancer survivor estrogen positive stage 3 few lympnodes positive I'm 4 years survivor still soo anxious visit my oncologist every 3 months but getting close to 5 years and continues as long I have to anastrozole, zolsfex injection to block estrogen its not fun a lot side effects from sleep issues, early menopause but I'm healthy.

I remember that phone call like it was yesterday. All I could do was cry. I was 28 years old with a almost 2 year old daughter. Mine was 7 cm. On April 29, 2021 I will be 11 years breast cancer free. My baby and husband saved my life. I couldn't save the tatas, but I saved my life.

I've just gone through a year and a half of treatments with my mother. She was stage 4. Shes now cancer free. You can get through this. There will be tough times but it's all worth it. If you ever need to talk I'm here to answer any questions you have. Or just a pep talk. ❤

I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 12 years ago. i was given 6 months to live!!! 6 months!! God knows our end. and He can 100% heal us!!! I will absolutely be praying for you!!! I was 29.
I was also diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29, there was no lymph node involvement so after my full mastectomy, I had a month of radiation. I am 66 years young however now my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer. I will pray for Delia so she will recover from her surgery and that she responds well with her treatments. Cancer can be beaten.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 3 in November 2020. Luckily my cancer didn’t spread anyway and that it mainly stayed in one area. My doctor was able to remove the entire cancer anyway I just finished chemo about month ago. Cancer isn’t a death sentence and you can beat it. I’m praying for you and you got this.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2019, I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction on November 13, 2019 and though the journey was hard I've been cancer free since. I still have maintenance things I have to do, but u can overcome this. U r a warrior, u r strong, and you will overcome this. ❤🙏

I wish you all the best. As a mum whose son was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was 17 years old in 2018 (he is currently in remission), I understand the shock, for a time it didnt feel real, I kept waking thinking it was a bad dream. Treatment can be difficult but i always felt that it was also part of the healing process for my son. Enduring this journey can be lonely for the both of you, because I don't think people truly understand unless they experince it first hand. I'm glad you find support in your faith. Reach out to cancer services and professional support - this experience can induce grief and loss due to such a major life change and interruption. @@Crown149 Thank you. Yes, the determined that it was the fertility drugs. I had ductal carcinoma in Situ, cancer in the milk ducts, which is calcifications in the duct. That was May 1, 2008. I am praying so hard for Delia. She is so Sweet. And for Dylan as well..

My Mother was 82 years old diagnosed with Matastic breast cancer 6 years ago, she decided to have a double Mastectomy and she was not a candidate for chemotherapy or radiation therapy, she was placed on a medication for 5 years and shes been Cancer Free for 5 years now , Breast Cancer can happen at any age. My Mother went yearly for her Mammogram God took care of her and God will take care of you too.

I was 34 and diagnosed with ductal carcinoma insite2 I didn't need chemo but I lost both of my breasts. My husband at the time, (I divorced him) was a complete jerk. I am so glad you have what seems to be a wonderful husband. God Bless, I will say a prayer for both of you. By the way, I'm 53 now so, I'm still here.

I am taking an Estrogen blocker as you are after my breast cancer. I did not feel it at all. But then it was very small 1-b. Only one lump node had a trace. I followed up with 7 weeks of radtion 5 days a week.
I had no pain very little discomfort after the surgery. I had my uterus and ovaries out at 45. But my Estrogen levels still produce in my later years

Well I just wanted to say God is the power in life. He is with us if we let him control our lives.

Also a breast cancer survivor here! The medical field has dramatically advanced by leaps and bounds! I never felt like this was how my story would end. The biggest advice I have is have a positive mind at all times. Once the negativity starts to set in its hard not tonlet that creep in. Be tough!!!

I was diagnosed with Her2 Triple positive Stage 3 Breast cancer in June 2020. I just finished with Radiation a little over a week ago and I am now doing 14 rounds TDM1 Infusions. I never thought I would be able to get this far. Praying for you! Stay strong Pink Sister!

I am so sorry that you have breast cancer. Just know i have had breast cancer, endometriosis at the same time. Endo was so aggressive , i had surgeory for both. My doctor told me without the surgeory i would have had two weeks to live. That was thirty years ago and still thriving. Have hope, you will survive. Be strong , eat healthy and enjoy your life.
Never give up. I pray for you, everything will be ok. My mom has faught cancer at 70 and now heart failure at 82 and she never gives up. God is with you, never give up❤🤗❤🤗❤🤗❤

I’m an interventional radiology nurse and I see first hand when a patient goes in to get diagnostic testing/biopsies then they come back to get chest ports inserted after they find out they are positive. I just want you to know that you are not alone. I can see the love you have for one another and that will be so important during these tough times. Prayers to your family ❤️

It makes me so mad they told you that on a damn phone call! Like, why wouldn’t they call you in? To come inside the office and be talked to with the upmost respect and care and understanding for what they’re telling you?? I don’t know, I’m not in the medical field so I don’t know how these things go, but I would just think a stage three breast cancer diagnosis for a young woman in her 20s, it’s a little much to tell somebody over the phone. Much respect and love to you guys for sharing your story. My heart breaks for you both

Didn't they say they were out of town visiting her family? Maybe they requested to just find out over the phone.
I was told at 7 months pregnant over the phone that I had a very aggressive cancer and my prognosis was poor. I went to the oncologist to be told that I didn't and the other doctor had jumped the gun on diagnosis. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.

I have 4 family members who have all had various cancers and all survivors. My sister had stage 3 aggressive breast cancer 10 years ago and is doing so well and is still cancer free. The most important thing is you caught it in time and you will get through this. What an amazing lovely couple you are. Sending my love to you both from the UK xxx

That is exactly what my oncologist said. I was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer in May 2020. I had a large tumor blocking my large intestines and the cancer had also spread to my liver.
After 6 rounds of chemo and an operation there is no evidence of disease since September 2020. The things that got me through were love from family and friends, a positive attitude, lots of fruit and vegetables, no sugar, the treatment my oncologist suggested, a lot of laughter and most of all GOD carried me. The Lord brought the two of you together because now you will able to be there for each other because you know what it is like to have cancer. Having cancer is like speaking a language only another person who has or has had cancer truly understands.
Flashback to taking my dad in to emergency with his appendics and finding out from the scans he has a tumor the size of a football around his kidney. Did appendics surgery, month later removed his right kidney, couple days later his leg his swollen to double it's size, took him in again and he had a massive blood clot down his leg and across his stomach, treated that for 6+months..fast forward a year and some and found 3 more small tumors..couple months later they cut out some of his intestine where one of them was and 2 of them had grown together on his back muscle, removed that. Recovered beautiful and has been cancer free for a year now. Scans keep coming back clear.. praying for God's blessings and strength on you and your family. ❤️
