Thank you so much for the help. i worked on my 02 ouback wagon. Thanks a lot!
Nice video and thanks for that. I'm taking mine out of my 2001 Ouback today - July 7th 2021 nice to see that you can get it out....
Dude, Awesome; you seem to have the same cars as I do because I have a Saturn and a Subaru.
Outstanding video work. 👍
Outstanding video
Thank you.
I came here looking to locate the relay that I need to disconnect to depressurise the system, which he skipped over...but I did find out that the car I just bought has an access panel for if the day comes that I need to get at the fuel pump, so appreciate learning that. Now, on to someplace else to find out where the illusive fuel pump relay resides.
You’ll never find it unless you do it yourself I’m still lost on it
Im also looking
I love subaru for letting me not have to drop the tank
@richpin06a
I enjoyed this video very much. I just did this on my 2005 Outback 3.0.
I have a question for you. There is something that looks like a fuel pump (at least from the top) on the other side of the fuel tank (behind the driver).
Could you tell me what this is?
Thanks but... well... that is the complete assembly with pump and sender....... we need another video where you replace only the pump :-)
I replaced the sender on my Honda Accord 98 and the only reason it is a bit easier, is because the rear seat doesn't need removal: can do everything from the trunk.
Now... my wife's Outback is the next weekend project :-)
Any recommendations on fuel pump brands from anyone for a 2000 Subaru Outback 4cyl? The OEM fuel pump is just way too expensive for me
Now i expected that pump to just lift out easy like the others you have done, but no the bloody thing had to have its awkward moment lol :-)
zx8401ztv They put this baffle in the bottom of the tank and as you saw it was hard to get the float by it.
***** I already found it and spent it sorry.
That's the disadvantage of wearing gloves. You must sacrifice to the car repair gods. I find that easiest to do by working bare handed, and skinning my knuckles early in the process.
where can i get just the filter only?
Nice video but you don't have to take the back seat out comepletely. The whole bench is on a hinge. You pull the release and literally fold the bench seat up and it stays and you can still access the fuel tank.
Are you certain? This is not a wagon that he is working on.
@@hfarthingt i know this is a year old, but my old owners manual talked about this with both the wagon and SUS, which i think could fold the rear seats down in the same manner and allow you to load more stuff in it.
