This run was recorded in April 2015, before the speed runs spinoff series was created. This is the Any% Glitched category.

+Nana-Kyoto Kirby does have a warp star that, according to online sources, goes the speed of light.

i can't stress how much i love this series, someone with as much popularity as you giving this much exposure to the speedrunning community really helps everyone in it by introducing new people to speedrunning. also, for a future episode of this you should do a link to the past, it's down to less than 2 minutes with a new strat now and it's really cool to watch

Fun fact: the most iconic area of this glitch is likely Orange Ocean Stage 1, since the block just below the door has an underwater tile.

1:15 If we time it just right kirby clips to the water and does the stone ability and pauses at the same time which sends us to the credits!

For anyone wondering, I have been unable to replicate this glitch on NES for Nintendo switch. It seems the game stops the second it starts to sense a crash, and states that an error has occurred. (I used save states to replicate the final part many many times.)
Elisha Davis its actually not patched, it’s just when it detects a crash it closes the game (to prevent freezing the console). They didn’t actually fix any glitches in the NES version. (I went through and did a ton of Super Mario Bros. glitches, the coding is all the same.)
When the credits are longer than the actual gameplay. Reminds me on Metal Gear Solid 4 lol

I ended up completing the game around 15 times now
I just imagine a kid playing his first ever round of Kirby, he sucks in 2 enemies on accident and feels like "InstantSucces" then mom comes into the room and talks about how her child is only playing video games while child, being as annoyed as it could possibly get, mashes buttons and hits through the floor, presses pause bam end. Worst Kirby experience ever.

Got any "Real" speedruns also? Seems a few of these are largely legit with like one thing or other that makes sense but while this is interesting a more 'complete' run also could be good fun. (other usable glitches?)

How many frames after you press B?
EDIT: I found out, that from when the Stone transformation animation starts by pressing B, it takes 11 frames before pressing Start, and you press Start on the 12th frame (the exact frame the game crashes if you don't press Start, and in frame advance, you press Start and then frame advance on the 11th frame).
