Hey A+! I love your son of a glitch videos and they always make me laugh. Something I found with the glitch at 2:55 is if you hold the duplicated shell, then jump on the Koopa while still holding X or Y, your character will be holding air and it looks hilarious. If you let go of X or Y then your character will throw air.

Mario just zipped from one universe to the next by doing his own version of the BLJ (Backwards Long Jump) called the CCL. (Corner Crouch Launch)
I found an interesting glitch.
1. Make sure you haven't unlocked the pipe to go to the World 4 Mystery House
2. Use the World Bowser glitch to go onto the clear pipe and jump down to the World 4 Mystery House
3. Go through the pipe.
Congratulations, you just went through a pipe and came out of the ground!

...except without the actual clipping part.
For the duplication glitch, this is useful if you want to have an extra fireflower for, say, levels that need you to throw fire at a torch pole.

i believe that is a hard crash, or hardlock. softlock is when you can't progress but the game is otherwise still functional.
No because you can still turn the console off and the music plays still. A hardlock is when your game or save is permanently damaged.

I think its just a normal console crash lmao
Softlock-Game reached a condition where you can no longer progress or are locked out of control of your actions. Game is still technically running fine and console is receptive and can be soft reset.
Hardlock-The game as crashed. All function is halted and console is non-responsive. Console must be manually powered off.
Corruption-Game data and/or save data is damaged by glitches or unintentional hardware behavior, resulting in abnormal behavior and/or complete inability to access the corrupted data. Depending on how it's done, it can either be fixed by simply resetting the console or, if the wrong data gets permanently corrupted, the game is toast.
It's a crash not a softlock
the "after images" in the null render point is called "Hall of mirror effect". It's common in Doom.

@@jahsjk4954 It's a crash. A softlock is when the game is still working (e.g. music keeps playing, menu still works) but you can't move or can't exit a stage or room you're in. You're forced to reset the game, but not the whole console. So yeah, you were right about it not being a softlock.
What is it when the game is playing as normal but you cant move or go to the menu or press anything or shut off the console so you have to unplug it
A soft lock is a glitch or piece of code that prevents a user from progressing in a video game campaign. I've seen all sorts of soft locks, some of which are permanent.

The game cant show Mario's immense speed normally, he builds so much speed that the world slows down for him
Nah, it's just because the faster Mario moves, the game takes a longer time to move him all that distance and it slows down.

With the amount of hours i put into this game years ago i'm amazed i didn't know about any of these glitches. This game is so awesome, the fact it still isn't on Switch in 2020 is criminal, wonder why Nintendo refuses to give us a Switch version of 3D World?
