Lieke Klaver Wins 400m Silver medal Behind Femke Bol at 2024 World Indoor Championships

The 2024 World Indoor Championships will be held from Friday to Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland.

This year’s indoor championships will feature key stars including: 100m and 200m world champion Noah Lyles (60m); 400m hurdles world champion Femke Bol (400m); shot put world champion Ryan Crouser (shot put); high jump world champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh (high jump); 1500m world champion Josh Kerr (3000m); 10,000m world champion Gudaf Tsegay (3000m); 400m hurdles world champion Karsten Warholm (400m) and pole vault world champion Katie Moon (pole vault).
The whole championships is streaming live on Peacock (subscription required), but unfortunately, the only live TV window will be Sunday, 2-5 pm E.T., on CNBC.

What I see in this race is a 200m Lieke Klaver going out at an aggressive pace on the 400m to pace Femke Bol and allow Femke Bol to grab the inside lane ahead of the competition with Klaver in close pursuit behind Bol, putting distance between Femke and the other competition and with a Lieke Klaver obstacle between the competition and Bol.

2nd: looks do matter (you have the right to think that that's bad, but it doesn't change the fact that it's true). Lieke Klaver has twice as many followers on Instagram than Femke Bol, who is an even better runner. Alica Schmidt, who is a good runner, but far away from Bol's and Klaver's level, has more than 10 times the followers. Don't tell me that it's because of her personality...

I hear Lieke pronounced in different ways. One is 'Leek.' The other 'Lee-ke.' The other 'Leek-uh.' Pretty sure, the Dutch commentator say, 'Leek.' Anyway. This woulda been unexpected, cuz last year, even, Klaver lucky make Final heat. I seen her, last month, And just like this race, she have to slow down, when Bol and her move to inside track. Who to say, she not gonna test Bol in Paris, 2024?
