    Great shots as ever. Good to hear a balanced viewpoint in an age when the latest and allegedly greatest are pushed so hard.
    Clearly from these images so much is in the skill of the photographer and thank goodness for that. Take it easy.

    Great video and great shots of the family and early fall colors. I bought my X-T20 (new) just after the X-T30 came out and they were beginning to disappear from the on-line stores. I got it for a good deal as a kit with the XF18-55 lens and couldn't have been happier with what it did and what it still does as my primary camera. I have since supplemented my original lens with the XC50-230 zoom and, more recently, with the XF35/1.4 prime. The 35mm lens is now hardly ever off my camera.......it is incredible!

  • @raymeedc

    This lens is a real sleeper! I have a few higher priced, better built Fujinons, but don’t like toting around a zoom for street shooting, or most any other kind of shooting as well. Came across this lens by chance by having it attached to a used X-T20 I picked up. Boy, was EyE ever pleasantly surprised! Diminutive as a prime, light as the proverbial feather, sharper than it should be, especially so at the wide end, and Image Stabilization Ta boot. Gives me all wide angle to long normal lens viewpoints without sacrificing for size, weight, or optical quality. It now shares street walking duties with my aperture ringed Fujinon 27mm pancake. The 15-45 is an XC lens, and as such is plasticky & cheap feeling compared to most other Fujinons, but in classic Fujifilm fashion, they skimped on the construction material, but not the optical quality. These lenses can be had every day for less than $200 in mint condition, not much of a gamble to give it a shot.

    XT20 is arguably peak Fuji. Tiny, light, cheap but still very powerful with many advantages over the XT2. Excellent clicky d-pad and a shutter that sounds just perfect. XT20 was my gateway in to Fuji 5 years ago and it still works great despite being glued to me for that whole time. I have the XT3 but I still prefer reaching for the XT20 and prefer the IQ from the sensor. I only reach for the XT3 if I need good continuous af.

      It's a little subjective but the smaller size is important to me. It means I have it on me absolutely eeeeeverywhere I go. You are sacrificing weather sealing but I live in California so not a huge deal. I guess the biggest advantage would be the touch screen and the drag to focus functionality which in my opinion works better than a joystick.
      If video isn't super important to you I would get the XT20 over the XT30 aaaall day. Saying that, the XT40 might drop pretty soon and I'm pretty excited about what that could be.

    the 15-45 with the xt30 is the one I keep in the car for whenever I need to just snap a few picture. Super lightweight combo and wider than the 18-55. Underrated lens in my opinion. Actually Fujifilm has just released a firmware update that improves the usability of the 15-45 for newer bodies. You actual see the focal range on a horizontal bar in the viewfinder now and the aperture that you are zooming to. Before you had to chimp to see what aperture was used. The major improvement is that it goes back to the previous aperture you used automatically even if you chimp or turn the camera off. Before, it would just take you back to 15mm.

    have really considered going to the X-T20. Seems like a great way to size down my X-T1, especially with the F/2 primes. It also can be sized up a bit with a grip which is nice. As a member of the big hands club, this camera is surprisingly nice to hold. You can get the X-T30ii body only for the same price as an X-T20 and a prime. I'm tempted to go X-T30 because I want better video specs for family stuff.

      @KentuckyMan30  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the 15-45mm would be best if it's your only lens. You have more versatility, image stabilization and even some decent quasi-macro capabilities. Plus, after shooting with that lens for some time, you'll start to learn what focal lengths you like to shoot at most. If you wanted a "do it all" focal length that's a prime, I personally like the 23mm focal length. Wide enough for a lot of situations, but also kind of a "standard" field of view.

    • @KentuckyMan30
      @KentuckyMan30  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 3.5-5.6 refers to the max aperture in terms of how wide it can be at certain focal lengths. You can stop down beyond 5.6 at any focal length you want though. So, 3.5 is as wide as the lens can go, however it can't go wider than 5.6 when zoomed in to 45mm. You can always stop down beyond that though (to f/11, f/18, etc)
