I hope so as I'm late to the mirrorless party and just bought an X-T20 last month as a replacement for my well used Canon 760D and I'm loving the smaller form factor of the Fuji and I've been delighted with the results so far.
I am a canon shooter and shot on a t7 prior to my XT-20 and it was leaps and bounds ahead. Some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken came from that camera. Wish I wouldn’t have gotten rid of it.
I just bought it weeks ago, i'm a Canon user before with Canon EOS M3 and Canon 750D, i think X-T20 was one of my best camera i've ever bought especially with it's Film Simulations, sensor, and the fact that the camera are mimicking old style film camera. It's a shame that X-T20 cannot name custom Film Simulation so i have to write a notes just to memorize what Film Simulations am i using. Still a great camera.
I’m primarily a Canon shooter and fully agree with this. For my creativity and fun, the Fujifilm is unmatched. For any paid or professional work, the Canons come out and the Fuji is relegated to a BTS or supplementary camera
Hello! I have a question, how fast does the XT20 take single photos without and with the flash? (not in the burst mode). How long do you have wait after taking a photo to be able to take another one in both cases? (without and with lamp)
Idk the exact time measurements, but most flashes have a 1 sec refresh time, I would assume that’s the same for the xt20. As for single photos it depends on your film sim settings. If you have the clarity adjusted at all it takes longer (I would say a full second if not longer), if clarity is set to zero I’m guesstimating ~.5 second between
Hello. I am just getting back into photography after taking a break for 2 years. This is the main camera that I use. I take street photography, portraits, and nature.
The ISO. What I ended up doing was programming my buttons, so the rotating dial on the upper right turned into the iso, that way I can just press, and rotate.
I had another person comment and recommended that, I did end up messing with the settings a little more and I actually have a TH-cam short on how I set mine up. Thanks! 😃
@@GrahamMediaLLC Now I like the dials on the x-t2 because iso is right on the top wheel. However... I'm still glad I don't have to press q, joystick around and then do it that way like I do with my 5dmarkiv
@@andychandler3992 I whole heartedly second this. I love the ergonomics and ease of use for all my Canon cameras SO much more than the Fuji. Fuji is great for SOOC images, but when things get serious the Canons always come out. 😆
I’ve not seen anything regarding a crop, and if I remember correctly it doesn’t. I will say this though, it applies line skipping and does not have a LOG profile, so if you’re looking at this for video there are definitely better options, especially with the climate of the Fujifilm used market right now
It’s still a great camera! I have since traded mine in on the XS-20 for the added video features, but if I were sticking to just photos with it, still would be perfect to this day
Thinking about getting this camera, I've had a Canon 760D for about a year. As a documentary photography student I want something smaller and mirrorless. Would you recommend the upgrade?
Absolutely! I love my xs20. And that will be a huge upgrade, I would just weigh I. How important super low light performance is to you. Another option in this price range would be the r8 depending how invested in canon lenses you are. Or there is the Fringer ef-x mount adapter that adapts ef lenses to the Fuji x mount.
I also wonder that, but I also never really use exposure comp in my cameras, so I must not be the one to elaborate on that 😂 I feel a portion of it is to maintain the “classic body” look
I just picked up xt20 for about $350. I used to own one when it came out and have gone through pretty much all subsequent x cameras including XH2 and xh2s. My main camera is Sony a1 and I also have other cameras including Canon R8 which is pretty small but I got the xt20 for purposes similar to you, to keep it in my car just in case and not worry about it. I am also not concerned about weatherproof issues, in my experience all cameras are somewhat weather proof and light rain or beach should not be a problem for it or any other camera, unless you dip it into salt water while on. That’s the only time I ruined a camera (Sony a6000).
It’s a great camera. I actually just sold mine for $500 with the metal hand grip and an SD card. I’m looking at picking up the XS20 and reviewing it, but it’s still going to be for the same purpose. My main cameras are now an R5 and R6. Something about getting a great image straight out of camera just really helps me continue to be creative when I’m slammed with professional projects.
Hello sir my current situation is imma just a beginner who looking for best camera..ive done doing research but i having dilemma between xt30 and xt20 which one do you think best for me…also my low iq said “The older the model … the lower the quality”😞 is that truee???
@@arifdaniel9106 I think the image quality difference is really marginal if any but xt30 will have better autofocus so if you are ok paying little more for xt30 and its going to be your only camera, I’d go for the 30 for better autofocus.
I'm torn between the xt-10 and xt-20. I like the colors of the 10 a little better, but from what I hear the 20 has better low light performance. I'm leaning more towards the 20 for that reason alone.
Low light is something that’s always important to me. I ultimately went with the 20 cause it had more film simulations and a newer sensor. I’ve ran through quite a few film recipes from FujiXWeekly and they look great on it.

You can program the rear command dial to bring up the iso when you click it. You can then just rotate the command dial to select your choice of iso.
Good to know, I’ve looked to do this a couple times and I may just be reading the menu’s wrong. I’m admittedly very spoiled with Canon Menus

Bought one literally yesterday, waiting for the 18-55 to arrive tomorrow. It won’t replace my Nikon Z system but it will have its place 👍

I have 10 different Fujifilm bodies in the X (from X-T20 to X-H2's) and 3 GFX series but the diminutive X-T20 has wonderful output.
That’s quite the collection! We now have an XS-20 and it is also wonderful but definitely produces a different image compared to the xt-20

What do you think about 18-55 lens fujinon for it? And how much $ is okay price to pay for used body X-T20?
The 18-55 was brilliant. Price on these is kinda crazy right now though. I think I only paid ~$300 when I bought mine, they’re now going north of $500

deciding between this camera and the x-t200
From what I’ve read (and granted I have no experience with the xt200) if you can swing it, go for the xt20
I was between the same two as well
