You know anything man made can be taken out by mother nature. But these tiny homes, sheds or cabins whatever you choose to call them are actually well built. They don't go over the top with using unheard of material or anything but what they do is give the buyer a very good start on completing your own ideas for what you would finish the build with. Your pocket book or knowledge is all that holds you back. So I purchased a 14x40 myself that's already been set on my property and I've already paid out my floor plan so I now know exactly how and with what I want to use on mine and coming up almost daily with new ideas for mine. I do most of that by watching these videos. I'm doing mine all by myself with no help from anyone and I can tell you it is very rewarding and a lot of fun for me. Any of you thinking about it but a bit scared should take the leap you'll do just fine and won't regret it just don't get in too big of a hurry. Best of luck and best wishes.
These are some hard working men. I’ve delivered storm drain pipe to new job sites in FL, and these guys lay pipe very fast. It’s camera inspected so it’s up to code. Seen them build a two story house in a day with 30 men in the new structure, and the lead man calling out for all the saw men to cut lumber to size. It’s impressive. 😮
Exactly, even in today's cost it's actually relatively affordable to have basic brand new housing wherever the zoning allows.... Lowe's has a 320sqft shed with delivery an installation is $9k Add another $5k for quality wool insulation, drywall, nails, putty, paint, and carpet / flooring Under $18,000 and you got yourself a brand new home without paying hundreds of thousands, Even if these things only last 20-years, just do it over again with another brand new one that's will be better in the future 🚀
No tie down installed upper and lower areas but fast work team .and most likely no restrictions to build or permit..who knows right .gotta give them credit done in one day .
anchored to the ground = definitely need a permit. Each county will have different laws regarding a house on skids such as this. This house is not anchored so technically it is a mobile home which does not require a building permit but may require a location permit. The only issue may be the size, if it can technically fit on a truck.
My folks had a Jim Walters 2 bedroom home built and my grandfather was a retired master carpenter! After the construction crew would leave in the evening he would come in and fix what they screwed up! He build our birch kitchen cabinets! We also built a matching size on the opposite end which was a master bedroom and utility room! Beautiful Oak hardwood floors! Then my mom's best friend and her husband bought an acre an acre apart from our and had the same floor plan build but facing opposite!
Looking to build a tiny home myself, hurricane helen dropped a giant oak threw the living room of my mobile home,so I Am now fixing to build either a 16×50 or 20×40 for me and my son!struggling to work out the floor plan!

hi, very nice work well done and moreover not talk for nothing say only work, work, work, and moreover at axcelerer speed, that's what people want to see work and not useless talk, once again video very well done and quickly done, bravo, bravo, bravo.
Looks good except for the fact it's not tied to the ground.no footings it may settle.a building starts in the ground.if it's not you will have trouble.
In the UK we call that a big shed, it's not really a TINY house, but the If I had very little money and nowhere to live, I would be more than happy to live in this. It's not in 'Hurricane Alley' is it?
TX very much has hurricanes and tornadoes. Some parts more than others but the state most definitely. Lots of other smaller factors as well. But as you say, this might be what it takes to get inside.
@AtlasBackyardSheds I have noticed that Texas is tiny home friendly. 😏 I will check out your site. Finding a good piece of land is my challenge . Lots of legwork to do.
I bought mine from a shed dealer they built it at their location with my details on where I wanted doors and I got 4 windows. Paid monthly payments. Paid it off early at 25,000
You got some haters in your comments. So where’s all your fantastic builds haters? I’m sure there’s videos on this platform since their so great and all😅
There are lots and lots of videos of quality construction. This is a shed. It is reasonable for a shed. There’s generally a difference between a shed and a house whether you understand or not, and regardless of whether someone points you to a specific video to show you. It’s just called education. Whether you have some or not doesn’t change whether it exists.
Literally the sketchiest build I have ever seen. You didn’t even concrete in the foundations. I guess you don’t have building regulations in your area ☹️
You don't need concrete foundations outside the frozen tundra of the north and Midwest areas. Those look like Misquite trees so this would be Texas. Aside from that you know that there is a type of building called "pier and beam" right? People build cinder block wall to close in the bottom of their house.
@@ThinkCriticallyNow I'm sure you're quite the Bob the builder. We got cabins built from the 1800s just hanging out on stones. If you'd build a monarchy like you build a building you might have won the war on your own.
It’s a shed. It could be made into a home if built in a place where there are no building codes. It could never be made into a nice home. Fatal flaws in the bones.
This video is a perfect example on how not to build a building- I'm glad they didn't build something for me after seeing this footage. Everything they touched was wrong right from the beginning and it just got worse.
This is *NOT* a tiny home. This is a big-ass shed. No housewrap, No engineered trusses. Insulate this thing, install AC or HVAC and watch the walls rot and mold in a year.
Im impressed by the guy scooting around on the scaffold.

Nice I like this kind of work very enjoyable.
Wow ... how organized would you have to be !!! amazing work
Good teamwork there!
Thanks you! We appreciate you watching.
Easy enough to add windows once you frame out the interior and figure out your layout I suppose.
My 3 bedroom home is 24x40 . We had 7 people in it while kids were growing up.

Se necesita Permiso de la ciudad para construir 16x40 tiny house? En California

Gracias por su respuesta . Hermoso trabajo👍👍👍
En California se necesita permiso hasta para cagar.
Are those posts safe long term?

This is why us Masters tend to do it all ourselves. Bet it was hard on your Grandpa to see crap work. Too Funny!!

Thank you! Would you consider living in a shed to home conversion yourself? If so, what attracts you to the idea?
Awesome 😊!
Thanks for watching!
Been nice if you would have shown the inside after completed before the end of the video
These vatos are bad ass
I want one 20 wide by 80 foot long. That width can't go down the highway. That would be my forever home in AR.
If you can dream it, you can build it.
You can build on

How long would it take
And help would be greatly appreciated! I frame houses for a living so no problem figuring materials just kinda struggling on floor plans
I didn't know there were companies that offered site-built versions of these.
Home Depot sells ones very similar, built in site. Takes two to three days.
Most portable shed sellers can build onsite.

I don't see jacks on the windows
good thing it wasn't a windy day, standing those 40' walls with no bracing?, you asking for trouble.
Aren't you supposed to put the warped side up so the weight of the building will straighten it out???
It looked like they were checking for crown, or do you think they were crowning down?
Looks awesome but, man, I would need more windows.
How many days did this take?
This was built in one day - in less than 8 hours.
@@AtlasBackyardSheds yeah and it shows
I would have loved to see the inside.
Can I buy a plan out sheet to build this myself
What is the territory you cover?
Damn..these sumbiches will work!!
What's the total cost for this?
Good question
Well now I understand how houses can float away in big floods.
How do you know there in a flood plain .
Those are built by your contractors today. They build houses terrible now.

The bottom supports are leaning.
What will be the cost to build one like this ?
I lived in a 10x40 trailer at Arkansas State University in the early 1980's and yours is bigger.
Esos cimientos están bien buenos. 😵💫
Cheap is what they wanted and cheap is what they got.
Oh plz make no mistake. They built this better than contractors probably build your house
Really amazing.
Thank you for watching! Would you consider living in a shed-to-home conversion?
@AtlasBackyardSheds Absolutely. Educating myself for wheen the time comes. What state do you work in?
@QAsession Awesome! Love to hear it. We have seen people do incredible things when converting these into homes. We are in Texas.
@AtlasBackyardSheds I have noticed that Texas is tiny home friendly. 😏

Finding a good piece of land is my challenge . Lots of legwork to do.
Is there anything you would like to see in future videos?
Did all that assembly work and didn't build steps to use to get in the house????
Cool
Thank you!
the migo crew!
Why does this look like 12 wide and not 16?
I need these guys to come build my tiny house. 😂
How much did this cost?
How many hours?
8 hours
How much is something like this?
25,000
I bought mine from a shed dealer they built it at their location with my details on where I wanted doors and I got 4 windows. Paid monthly payments. Paid it off early at 25,000
I thought that was very nice but if I wanted to make a house out of it I would want more windowage.
Nice work guys. 👍👍👍
Thank you very much!!
a good way to skip a stupid 30-year mortgage!!!
Absolutely! So many people are going this route to save money.
And who cares about heated concrete floors, just wear slippers. People nowadays are so spoiled.
Until the government shows up....because this is not up to code
What about nc
This takes "cheap" to a whole new level

Overall it is great. personally I think it needs more windows.
Somewhere with no codes i guess
To bed you can't do that in florida
How much for28xx40
boorah Brother nice job
Im no building expert - i just saw 1 side of the building frame tip over - the back left sude that doesnt have those concrete supports
Would like the bedrooms on the opposite ends of the house don't really care about the rest, besides keeping all the plumbing together for convenience!
I'd have sent this crew home !!!
These are the worst footings I've ever seen! 😱. At 06:03 that corner is missing a footing 😱
It is a shed build. The give away is the two skids which make it movable and reduce many building codes.
I was wondering the same thing. Horrible.
No Housewrap Huh?
It’s almost impossible to build this alone without help.
Tiny house is maximum 400sq ft. At 640sq ft what you have is a small house.

@@yourmomsdildo3938 Just typical dodgy American building methods. This is why your houses fall to pieces so quickly.
It is basically a shed on skids lifted off the ground.
Loads of people on here building houses like this just floating on brick or cinder block and no solid concrete foundations.

One exterior door, two small windows, and no hurricane strapping whatsoever. 🥴

Talk about almost zero windows! I'm sure that is something the owner requested. Exterior looks good though.
Nie chciałbym mieszkać w domu, w którym są tylko dwa okna. Strasznie to ponuro wygląda.
Tiny house where?
Only in Texas where there are no building codes.
Lots of short cuts that would not be good for a home.
Fast and cheap! Like a twin turbo Kia. Check in on it in 10 years. 💯 there will be issues.
Fast isn't better. This won't last.
OMG horrible that floor will torque
Just a dog kennel.

Wow 16 foot on 2 main runners…..I would have done 3…..well at least the blocked the outside…
