The one thing I would suggest is saving right before you take the elevator out of vault 111 when you get the option to change your stats, etc. That way you can make the character the way you want without the first 20 mins of intro stuff. Unless of course you really like all that, but at least that way you have options.

The problem with this game is low on stimpacks, good thing they have cheats, otherwise it would be like doing perfect rounds against all enemies, the health runs out fast... Stimpack code didnt work but tgm god mode did gladly to see Im not so you young anymore to go for full perfect kills without getting hit, its also basically useless... tgm kind of makes it like halo where you regenerate automatically... specially commonwealth is igniting, you see like 6 savages surrounding you damn... also best thing is my pc isnt that good but can play it on lowest configurations, this whole graphics up is garbage, graphics is good already Fallout 4- graphics would be great.... Its also cost saving for game companies, imagine elders scroll new vegas coming out, also new other games, instead of wasting time on new graphics.

At 6:00, if you follow the pipe from the yellow contraption downwards to the waters edge, you can switch off the water pressure. This unlocks a panel on the side of the yellow device that’ll give you three caps caches
Never leave fusion cores in power armors.
does it use up energy still?
The problem is hijacking. At the very least your townspeople tasked with defense can end up walking around in it, so you can't rely on it being where you left it. Really, however, anyone can put it on - like an attacking raider - and walk away with it. It's like deliberately leaving your keys in the car and walking away. Pull the power core and nobody can mess with it because the AI won't have anyone go FIND a power core to hijack it with.
My settlement (sanctuary) never gets attacked. Some radroaches occasionally and I had a few synths attack once. Other than that it never happens for me for some reason.

This is the best advice in regards to this game I've ever seen given.
I had an arsenal of power armor (8 suits at the time I think) and when I got the call that Sanctuary was under attack I rush over there to find almost all my power armor hijacked by raiders who are just fucking everything up. It was interesting to say the least having to fight a half dozen power armor clad raiders.
PRO TIP:
get a non dogmeat companion as soon as possible.... Preston and Codsworth should the be easiest and fastest to get...
this will allow u to use them to over come the over encumbered mechanic....
heres how it works...
loot everything and i mean everything in every place you go... once ur over encumbered... just go to a chest or dead body.. dump all your loot in... then select your companion and have them loot the body/chest... this will let you by pass not being able to give them loot directly once they become over encumbered..
then all u have to do when u got back to your home... is remove all of it from them and put it in your workbench...

Maa'Quchii or use dogmeat until you get Preston, get max affinity then get dog meat to get the benefits of lone wanderer and get the benefits of Preston’s perk
Codsworth is great for Sanctuary you can repair and upgrade him, and if you return to the vault you can drop and pick-up useful build items. if you do not want settlers getting into supplies, food or weapons build a storage unit on a small upper floor and "Remove the Stairs" or have a locked door on both ends of the access without an easy way for settlers to path thru and remove items. Harvest the bodies from all human corpses before scrapping them. You can craft food for Dogmeat and Strong. a health and healing item for them. Arm each settler with armor and melee weapon (pipe or board) and if you give them pistols/rifles give them only one round they will not waste ammo and a glitch can give them infinite ammo for that weapon.
Codsworth makes a good companion for the early game. He can carry a few more pounds than Dogmeat and is a better fighter with a buzz saw and a flamethrower. Dogmeat will fight animals and ghouls and mostly holds onto people and mutants. Codsworth does do more talking than Dogmeat, but he is better at getting out of your way. Dogmeat seems to always be underfoot just when it hampers you the most. I can't count the number of times I've been killed cause Dogmeat hampered my movement. Sometimes you have to just get him out of you way at the beginning and tell him to stay.

- tons of pipe weapons(because.38 is more common than 10mm)
- 10mm Pistol inside the shower of the second sanctuary house from the bridge left
- Minigun at Olivia radio statio (or satellite) carried by boss ackack
-FatMan at robotic trash station
Ammo:
- 200× 5mm Ammo From Ackack boss(mentioned already)
- 3 fusion cores at robotic trasch place (1 in the chest near military and 2 from killing/self destruction of the military bot)
- mininuke at robot trash place at the fence
Safes:
-4 in sanctuary (1 in computer house with pistol, 1 in shelter, 2 in sanctuary)

There is also an ammo box in the grass about 6-10 feet north of Vertibird.

Matt L IKR LOL...I mean he did speed it up but, that and the house building made for a ridiculous amount of video time.
I just spend the first 6 weeks or so scavenging, exploring and scrapping. It really paid off when it came to missions and settlement setups later as I wasn't running out of screws and oil all the while. 660 hours later all my core scrap stores are in 4 figures at least.
One more thing all those boxes always seems like a good idea at first...then it leads to madness. Less is more.

Great vid. I've restarted the game twice, but now i see it's worthwhile to run around the map and collect as much as possible BEFORE completing the first few quest objectives.
Really like it, most helpful, Im on my 2nd play but just building the mods and getting idea;'s on the settlements on what works and what doesn't to start the 3rd one which I will take all the way through the end. I really like how you placed everything in one building. Wish I have a little more info on how you did the bedroom and stairs going to the roof. Over all very good, thank you for taking the time to share it.

Scrapping red rocket and sanctuary are a pain , but building one or the other up as a home can be worth a few levels, depending upon how elaborate you build. And depending upon the difficulty and the type of character that can be VERY important in early game. Unless you're playing with mods that change it, scrap is so important for modding gear -- you'll need every bit of it. Its so irritating when you need ONE single piece to upgrade your weapon and its not available. Somethings like circuitry or crystal will STILL be needed for turrets and the like even after scrapping both sites.
Molerat den under Red Rocket is good for survival too because you get a supply of glowing fungus with which you make antibiotics.
I would gladly watch you doing that speed building anytime.

on the way back to sanctuary from red rocked, just before the bridge. On a little ridge to the right. There's a nice little stash.
I make my first base on the roof of Red Rocket. The place is the easiest to defend and you have a great view.
Definitely building a base this time through like you suggest. My Sanctuary was a MESS last time. I did move all the workbenches to the carport by the power armor rack, but this looks SO much easier to manage. And more aesthetically pleasing for sure.

I do, especially on survival.
I always go west from Vault 111 to Sunshine Tidings and Co-Op for the magazine there. Then we go hunting for mole rats and radstags and cook the meats to sell at Diamond City.

You should have initiated the Self Destruct mode for the Sentry Bot so you could get 2 extra fusion cores.
I think the Power Armor paint job you get in the beginning is supercool. So don't miss out on the robot disposal grounds! I got several more later in the game but the first one looks best imo.
Dope house. I like the attention to detail. I often find myself spending 10 or 15 minutes aligning furniture in a room when I'm building.
Also in sanctuary where secret bunker is there is a fallen tree leaning on the house climb it and search the roof for a duffle bag with goodies

You almost surely forget some of the suggestions and advice shared by GameVibz in this video, and that's why this is the kind of video that you can return to and learn from and find "new" tips from again when you start a new Fallout 4 play-through - tips that you may have forgotten or overlooked the first time... perhaps simply because your character build back then gave you other priorities.
And thus I actually didn't know that paint jobs give you any stats apart from making your armor look cool - until it was mentioned in another video I watched earlier today - and so I never used them. lol
(I haven't been using power armor a whole lot anyway because my character was a sniper, but it's always good to know what paint jobs actually do since there are times when you have to use power armor - and who knows, once you're lvl 120 or higher you might want to change direction and try out some different builds.)

When you scrap everything at red rocket I suggest you store the food cooker and whatever workbench that was across from the actual workbench
You can store the 'food cooker' and all the workbenches except the red work bench. Never scrap them. The first thing I build after opening up the red workbench is a bed for myself and a water pump if it doesn't have one so I can top off my HP. After that I take my time dropping off Junk and building a few things at a time, including planting a garden and 3 scavenging stations. They only need beds, food, water and turrets. The absolute last thing I build is a recruitment beacon. I come back after there is at least a half dozen or more to assign jobs to the settlers. I routinely do not answer every call for help and ignore Preston when he wants to talk to me. If I assign a provisioner I outfit him with a good gun/armor with a yellow flight helmet. The helmet lets me ID them at a glance as my provisioners.
A good safe spot to sleep in the early game is the root cellar in Sanctuary Hills. First thing I built in SH in my survival play-through was a water pump and the root cellar is a free bed.
I make sure each settlement has at least 1 water pump. That way I can top off my HP at any settlement at any time with no new cost but the time spent pumping.

I didn't build much of anything at Sanctuary after about my 15th play though... lol
The existing house w the workbench is enough. Just add crops, wells and sleeping bags packed neatly in the rooms.
Defensive turrets too. A bed is a bed. Sleeping bags r just fine. They don't need furniture other than Mama Murphy's chair.
I grabbed Piper and rushed as fast as I could to find Vault 88, "accidentally" killed Barstow then built every settlement with Vault-Tec prefabs. Neat, clean, snap together like Legos.
This current play through I didn't even bother building at Vault 88, just took the Legos and ran.
what do you mean by legos? ive unlocked vault 88 but unsure what you mean here.

At the location you go to after thicket excavation, u missed a secret cap stash. Follow the pipeline down to the river, and turn off the pump, and go back where the three radaways and the snubnosed pistol (btw one of the best guns to get early), and open the lid to get some free moneys!

I'm not a decorator, so "precise" is the last thing I am. I group my workstations fairly close together. I put a few chairs around for folks to sit on. Most are outside. I pack beds under barn roofs. If I use bedrolls instead of beds, they touch each other and are wall to wall. I have been known to use the type ladder mounted with a small floorboard top and bottom, add another on top to 1 of the 3 sides and put a turret there then remove the ladder to have a floating turret anywhere in the area. And my decorating is done.

1st thing I did after I left the Vault was simply rebuild Sanctuary, you can gain a level quite easily just from scrapping everything & creating at least 1 building. I then went for the 1st level of the scraping perk & built the radiation decontamination arch. This can be done either on PC version (sans console commands) or console folks, especially if U go the the radar tower area near Sanctuary &, with luck, get a circuit board.

Do not go to any power suits until around lvl 30 so you get more of a chance of getting better suits and more parts on them

Great interior. I stopped playing a while, but recently have got back into it.
I got sick of survival, traveling was sooooooo tedious even with mods. But I really hate that my character doesn't get hungry, thirsty,etc. Because When I first started playing on default difficulty settlements where more just a spot for artillery, and troops to use the flare gun. once I started playing survival the settlements truly came into effect. Food, Water, Shelter, There are so many settlements you are ALWAYS within walking distance of one.

Try doing it with scrapping mods. THAT drives me fucking nuts. Accidentally scrapping an entire house after I put hours decorating it is the worst.

nice video! plenty of nearby places to to pick up lots of goodies. I would like to add that i think it isnt smart to scrap all of the furniture since you can use it when building shelters for the people of the settlement.

Good reviews or not, some folks like the game, and some don't. Personally, I love it. It's my all-time favorite. The things I run across that I don't care for I just ignore and don't do those things. For instance, the Institute, to me, is totally out of character (everyone and everything neat, clean, super futuristic) with the rest of the game. I never joined and never went back. I fight the synths and that's it. Since the BOS and RR want me to go there, I stop at that point too. That means I usually join the Minutemen or don't join any faction and wander around doing my thing.

At the yellow pump where u found 3 radaway and a rad x if u follow pipe to river and switch pump off then go back and u can open yellow cover on side there is 3 cap stash containers inside
Started playing this game for the first time yesterday. The structure I built looks like it would fall in on itself under a strong wind. Amazes me how good some folks are at building these bases.
Watch some vids by Schooled Zone. He shows all the tips and tricks.
If you follow the pipe pine at the yellow box were you get the bullets and the snupnose pistol then you can get a caps stash were then you can shut off a water pump then go back up to the yellow box and open it
If you follow the pipe down to water you can turn it on and go back up to the deal and open the thing and there is a cap stash

you missed the caps stash by the sanctuary moat (by the dead guy with the .44 magnum) just follow the line down to the moat and turn the pump off ... then you go back up and there's a panel on the side of the yellow thing with 3 boxes of caps
