BIG WORMS Catch BIG BASS (Zoom Ole Monster)

  • Big worms catch big bass. There is simply nothing like having a big bass pick up your big worm and swim off while you set the hook.
    The best thing about a big worm is not only does it catch big bass, but it also catches tons of fish.
    I think that worm fishing is kinda a lost art anymore. People would prefer to fish other lures. However, a worm is still effective as it has ever been.
    Back in the 90s, the majority of bass tournaments were actually won on a texas rig bass worm, it still has the same power, yet people don't seem to throw it as much.
    In my opinion the best big worms out there are the zoom ole monster and the zoom magnum trick worm.
    These baits seem to get a large number of bites as well as big ones!

Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

    Thank you as always! You're my go to channel when I need quick, solid pointers before I head out. Also I love the consistency with your tips in the videos; you tend to say the same thing across your videos (offset over EWG, show em something different, etc). You give us the confidence we need!

    If you have a habit of setting the hook to the side set it in the upward motion. Hooks them right in the top of the mouth any type of hook.

    The plastic worm. That’s all we used to fish with in late ‘60s -‘70s in southwest Miami, Florida.

    Id rather have a double cheeseburger then a Jr. Burger lol. Especially to a bass when it gets hot and their metabolism is cranking. Ive caught some 4s and 5s on it in the last few days it works. Even a bunch smaller then the worm itself they flat out love the profile

    Can’t remember if you mentioned it but do you peg or unpeg"

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t and I wish I had! I typically don’t peg my weight unless I am in heavier vegetation. I really think that you get more bites without it pegged

    • @Sum1Fishy
      @Sum1Fishy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BassFishingHQ and they shake it off less often since the weight slides away. In the thick stuff, peg agree.

    does the off set hook work even on thicker style worms

    do you peg your weight?

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jeffrey Acito very rarely. I have tried both ways and I have found that you get a lot more bites when you don’t peg. Now sometimes, in heavy grass situations you may have to, but if I can get away not pegging..then that’s what I do
