  • During these times of isolation Metro is here to help our seniors stay healthy. Silver Sneakers classes are a great way to stay active. If you have any questions give us a call at 516-745-8050.
    What is Silver Sneakers?
    An aerobics class that is safe, heart healthy, and gentle on the joints .Increase strength, balance, and the range of motion needed for daily living.
    What kind of exercises?
    Hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls are utilized for resistance training. Chairs are available for seated or standing support.

    I am 69 and my husbands full time care giver. Since the pandemic I only go out when I have to. I am making 2023 the year I take care of myself as well. Your exercise videos make me want to join in, they are fun and I get a work out as well. Thank you for having these for us.

    Oh my Lord I could only go half way, I'm a paraplegic and this was great just doing the hand movements with weights ! Awesome!

    I LOVE these workouts, I am 73, with lymphoedema, diabetes and COPD. I allowed myself to get very sedentary what ch has only made my health issues worse. These videos have gotten me back on track, as I used to be very active. I also use the way better app with these, and not only I getting much stronger, and healthier but am making a few dollars as well.

    My diabetes program recommended that I find some chair fitness classes due to my Achilles bone spur preventing much walking. The millennial in me is so hype for this 90’s soundtrack :)

    Loving the workout and have told all my Seniors Friends to come join. I love the music as well. I feel exuberant-ed and it get me started for the day. Tones my body and gets me moving. Was some pain but I kept on working to get those muscles moving. Beats going to the gym when you can jammed in the comfort of your home. Thanks for reaching out to me...

I started a exercise class with your videos in my senior buildings for the Senior & Disabled and it has helped so much for myself I can definitely stay five days a week at 10 a.m. in the community room your joy is spreading many blessings to you brother.

    I hope y'all kept it up over the year!! I just started, going low impact after 1000s of miles of running on pavement. 🙃🙂. Can't give up exercise, my heart is pounding for it.

    I’m very happy to see your active exercises on chair, because now I have meniscus tears in both my knees and I can’t do aerobic exercises and can’t complete half an hour walking without pain , I could done with u these cheerful exercises for 2 times, thanks a lot ... please continue ❤

    I need more like this I was so out of breath just sitting in the chair. Some of the ones I was unable to do. That's when you do the cris cross with the legs and leaning back in the chair lifting the legs up. I need more because of the knees not being able to bend. But I really enjoyed this one.
