You should really try Sim City 4 for streams. It's a bit older, but there's some really fun stuff in it, like instead of getting a bailout if you go bankrupt, your financial advisor cuts you a deal to put some federal building like a max security prison or nuclear waste disposal in exchange for a boost to your income.
You can also get your cities to connect up for some minor gameplay stuff (from what I remember), like dumping pollution into the map borders to plague a different city. Could be cute to have several streams' cities all on the same map for memories sake

Just graduated from Highschool. I've been watching RT through the whole thing. I adored the City Skylines series through and through. Now that it's all over, I was happy to sing along to Country Roads one more time as those meteors fell again.

the absolute tsunami of nostalgia when country roads started playing and the meteors were falling seriously almost brought me to tears. what a journey this channel has been on
watching the rocket take off, accompanied by the wave of green, happy faces, heedless of the calamity approaching, and the phrase “and the people were happy” actually brought a tear to my eye
The funny thing is, the timer is the countdown to their doom, because that's when Cities Skyline 2 comes out and RT is probably gonna delete this town or game

why on earth would he delete it though? it's not particulary expensive on storage and it's probably gonna be some really good memories in a couple years

For real, when country roads started up, and the Satuirn V launhed, it was rather emotional and beautiful!
The sheep summoning a meteor apocalypse was the perfect ending. Always dangerous to gather that many sheep in one place, always ends the same way.

That ending had me feeling nostalgic in a way I did not expect out of one of your videos. I love that you brought back the old tradition in celebration of the best city you've ever built.
This gives the vibe of the town in Lorax except the good moral ethics, plus the moral message at the end. It's just death and beauty.

Because of the large exclusion zone restricting other development, there's actually a fairly robust natural ecosystem around the nuclear power plant where I work. We often see turkey on site, and there was a bear spotted not long ago.
There's also a provincial park situated right nearby.
This whole series has had an actual character arc of Dan finally learning how to plan and manage a city, with powercreep and everything. Honestly, more than a little emotional for someone who built a poop volcano and Spaghetti Junction. Glad to see he hasn't changed, despite how much he's grown.
I never thought the sight of several meteors leveling a city could fill me with such nostalgia.

Watching RT correctly play a sandbox game is actually so much more satisfying than his usual stuff. Not that his usual stuff is bad by any means, I love all his other city skylines videos. And its probably because of them that makes watching these so much better.
I'd love to see a follow-up to this where Dan actually tries to recover from the apocalypse. Would be interesting to see if and how the city changes as a result. But even if this is the last video of this city it was an entertaining journey.
Honestly, I find RT actually trying more entertaining then the hellscapes from before. It just makes the stupid stuff far funnier.

the meteors raining hell on this beautifully crafted city that has overcome sm and country roads playing in the background made me feel so happy and nostalgic, i should’ve worn my country roads merch but ah well :)

the city cheering for the last rocket leaving before being struck by dozens of meteors with country roads playing is actually movie stuff, a post apocalyptic movie on that would be awesome

Seeing them all happy with the rocket taking off before the apocalypse brings a tear to the ol eye
Watching RT dig the trenches about midway through was like watching someone say "I can have just one drink" and then the meteors at the end is like watching a full blown relapse.
That final wave of happiness as the people watch those astronauts save themselves from the meteor strike that they apparently didn't report to the public was like a disaster film.
Biffa should do a traffic fix video for this city with Dan, I’d love to see that.

Yup, think of 70’s buildings and lots of concrete. We’ve a few brutalist buildings here in Aberdeen that were used in the filming of _Tetris_ because apparently they are good stand ins for soviet Russia. So think of that sort of architecture.
And somehow the roads are even worse than the last episode.

The cities skylines videos were some of the first videos that really made me like RT’s videos for RT. I first came for the Minecraft but I watched a few other videos and his personality and jokes are what kept me. Thank you for being the best and most consistent TH-camr on TH-cam.

I'd be so cool if the makers of City Skylines worked with the people behind Planet Coaster/Planet Zoo/Park Beyond/Parkitect to allow you to import your parks into your city (to scale) and have the park's economy and traffic affect the city's economy and traffic.
