As a descendant of the Founder of Dixfield, Richard Dix, I am saddened and appalled at what the election of Mayor RTGame did to that fine city. When Richard settled his farm, he didn't realize it would become a hub of the area, which was destroyed within a few short years by this maniac.
He sounded so devastated when he realized the town would go bankrupt, I felt so bad. Maybe if he didn't try to build a space center and a shipping port for a town of 2500

I've been watching my brother play CS2 and its been a buggy mess at times and a good stable game at other times. I can't wait for Dan to become the menace he was always meant to be
Dan is an accidental genius in this game. Like when he created a monstrosity that accidentally completely solved traffic congestion in a competition. Now, the goal *was* to solve traffic as best he could, but neither he, nor the competition organisers, knew how the hell he did it. Dan is a true miracle worker. A bumbling, city-building Jesus. "Oh Lord Jesus! How did you turn this water into wine?!" "... Bein' honest with you, no idea. I just built more roads and it kind of happened. Good wine though, eh? You're welcome."
The funny thing is that many cemeteries actually do stack multiple coffins into one grave. There's only so much land and when someone stops paying they either get dug up and chucked out or pushed deeper.
Ah, modern gaming. Where remastered games look so good that in order to run them at as many frames as the original ran, you have to turn down the graphics so low it looks worse than the original (Unless you have a NASA computer of course)
So far u probably nid a 3080 minimun to play on med grphics without lagging late game my friend has a 4090 and his still struggling at high on late game

i will say, cant wait for when the game is fixed, btw if u didnt know. it renders every shadow.. including INSIDE buildings, for every singular object in the game. so many objects are detailed and rendered in when they dont need to.
Have been watching playthroughs of this game exclusively by people who are actually experienced and saw that RT had posted. What a beautiful change of pace 😊

It runs so poorly and unoptomised because the citizens have no LODs and the game is rendering each of their individual teeth at all times. Look it up, its insane.
EDIT: My bad, I just checked and it seems my info was out of date- I was remembering the original post about the teeth thing where the consensus was that it wasn't actually the issue, but now there's a new post about it and it seems to prove that the citizens actually do lack LODs.
1:52, no joke I used to live in a neighbourhood that abused roundabouts, but the thing was that the sheer amount of roundabouts made it really fun to drive illegally over the distibutor roads, because they had cool curves and braking points, it felt almost like a race-track... Also it is where I practiced heel-toe'ing the pedals for smooth shifting, and also where I taught myself how to slide and drift cars. Thank *TH-cam* for Dutch tarmac, otherwise those would be shredded!
I feel bad for the devs. The first Cities is obviously made by people who got tired of EA not giving a damn (especially after the catastrophic SimCity 2013 which was a broken crappy mess), there's no way they wanted to release the game in this state. This has "publisher ruins the game and then wonders why it doesn't sell" stink all over it.
Dan saying how horrible and scary it would be if a city/country's police actively encouraged you to lock your valuables away and stay vigilant at all times was almost textbook when it came to irony
Things I don't like in CS2: - Pipe and electrical connecting (in CS1 was way better) - We have random natural disaster but we cannot launch it manually like in CS1 - "Messy" RCI demand Poor performance aside (but it runs acceptable on my Alienware 17 R2 with a 4th gen i7, 16GB of ram and a GTX980m) I like it, but there's sooooo much room for improvements!
- Pipes irl go under the road. It also makes it easier for you, since there is no need to manually set up the whole pipe/electricity network. - The game will add DLC as it develops. Natural disasters with most probably be included. - The RCI is far more realistic now Just play CS1 at that point bro. It sounds like you vastly prefer the way that mechanics work there.

Nothing that a little update wouldn't fix. There are already disasters in the base game (fire, tornado, hail) and I don't know why they didn't add a dedicated menu from the beginning and then implementing it with more types of disasters later down the road with a DLCs. I mean, let us have fun with the base ones until the DLC. The RCI demand system is a great improvement from CS1, more detailed, but I think there's room for improvement. Besides that, I having a great time! Even if I took a "pause" because of Alan Wake 2 ❤️ Don't take it personally man 😅 even CS1 had its issues at launch.

They release a base-game, with all the general features that make playing the game fun and then spend YEARS polishing and refining the game into an incredible experience. They use DLC as a monetization technique to keep generating revenue on old games instead of releasing a new one every couple of years. I think that everything that was DLC in the original would be nice to have but is not mandatory. By separating advanced features to optional expansions people can choose not to buy them if they think it doesn't improve their enjoyment. For example I do not care about spawning natural disasters. Yes it would be better if video games didn't have DLC but in that case you would need to release a new game every couple of years to keep up development costs. If it were any other company I would not support this model, but Paradox have proven that they can make incredible games, and if that requires all the DLC then that's fine.
I’m sooooo looking forward to more cities 2 streams. I was going through an awful time when Dan used to play cities 1 a lot, and looking forward to his streams every week really helped me get through a really terrible time. It makes me so happy to watch him enjoy this new game when I’m at such a better place in my life than I was during the popularity of his original cities streams.
Funniest thing, Dixfield would've thrived as a city only if RT didn't insist on using four laners and invested in public transport allowing people to arrive to work.
