@senniminnibaby5011 exactlllyyy, in the same exact chapter, it says for husbands to submit to their wives. People be taking scripture out of context so bad man. Same thing for the whole 'children, obey your parents.' IN THE SAME CHAPTER it says for parents not to invoke wrath in their children. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, people will take what they want to hear from the Bible and use it as a power trip. As a christian, it really freaking sucks seeing this happen.
And also, as a pridezilla, I'd die inside if someone called me a Hagar. WTH?? I want to be more than a womb and plot device! 😢😢
Sarah was the one who got impatient and convinced Abraham to take Hagar and then got mad later. Even so, his using the Bible as a buffet, taking what he needs to justify his actions and leaving out what doesn't suit his agenda (the commandment about infidelity) is disgusting to be frank.

I just really hope the dog didn't get put down for what it had to do to survive. You hear stories all the time abour dogs just trying to protect themselves or finally snapping after being bothered like any human would and getting put down for absolutely no reason other than that.

Second story - NTA. It’s her home too but she tried to hide the fact that the ex was there and lied by saying “oh I’ll let you know when he’s going to visit”. The kid probably didn’t know about the tension and was trying to be helpful by piping up. And I hope that kid doesn’t feel bad or is made to feel bad because the mom was being shady.

So I’m LDS and have been for 20+ years, what that woman and man was doing is not what is taught in the LDS church. The whole “bible roles” thing isn’t what’s taught either. Me and my husband are equally yoked, I am a SAHM and he works but he does house chores, cares for our kids, cooks dinner, and takes care of our dog as much as I do. We work together so our home runs smoothly and our children are happy. I know plenty of woman in the LDS church who are my friends who work and even own their own businesses. I feel like there are extremes in every religion but I just wanted to leave a comment that there are NORMAL and nice LDS people out there who don’t pull that crap! Lol

As someone who has dated 2 therapists, OP's experiences were similar to mine. One of which I'm still cool with, but things were extremely uncool when we went splitsville.

Well when I had my appointments with him, he would stay 45 minutes talking to me, idk 🤷🏻♀️ but I always looked forward to my appointments. This wasn’t a is our psychology. this was my family doctor, my primary doctor the doctors you need for pain medicine, the doctor you see when sick. I remember he wouldn’t have me on his schedule when he loves supposed to be in office but hospital. I remember the front desk receptionist saying to me, you must be special.😂😂

I think it's honestly sad our society thinks of mothers as just this constant servant or mule taking care of you. No. A Mom is supposed to raise you to be a responsible adult.

They weren’t an outsider, it was literally their carer.
Emergency services like it when carers are around because they can ask and confirm questions if a client struggles with competency, if they have dnr in place, what medications the client takes daily etc.
If you’re not expecting someone to be dead, why would they change protocol? Carers find their clients dead every day, just not every one gets eaten by their pets

A little explanation for the dog WARNING GORE
To explain the dog's action more than likely it was trying to wake his owner up probably starting with licking and progressing into biting as the body decomposes the dog would end up taking pieces off as the skin softens the would then scare the dog because they would be traumatized by this as hunger and instincts set in it would proceed to eat its owner as a means for survival.

You can be a therapist if you've been committed three times?! And obviously still has problems. No way shes a damn therapist.
It's not about how you take care of yourself, it's about the service you provide.
Therapists often suffer from secondary trauma. And the ones who white knuckle through it don't have much opportunity to change careers and/or have too big of guilt about leaving.
They are still human... therapist have therapist for themselves. The job is being trauma dumped on. Not justifying the dating story but being a therapist is not for the weak.
I definitely think that the guy who kicked his gf and her son out is the a-hole. Kicking someone and a child out with no notice is immature in my mind.
