I am super impressed with the work and skill level, l have a ST that is exactly the same colour that l bought from new (2017), it’s a great looking car that performs brilliantly although l never drive it hard, was disappointed to see what happened to the engine after all your hard work. I hope you can sort it out for a reasonable cost.

Excellent work, truly a shame about the engine going pop. As a small side note, you might want to try get the volume difference between the time lapse and non-time lapse segments closer to each other (the time lapse is a LOT louder than some of the sections with you speaking).

Focus ST owner here. That was a very tragic and sad ending. Hopefully the owner decides to fix the block. From what I hear it's not that bad of a job, especially compared to the Audi V8s you do all the time. Also surprised the parts were so expensive, I guess that's my benefit of living in the US, Ford parts are dirt cheap here. Cheers from NY!

Not mechanically minded at all but totally in awe of your Jack of all trades skills. The Ford engine seemed so compact compared to those VAG engines you usually work on, but guess probably 2-4 cylinders less in some cases. Wondered about the previous performance tuning whether this had stressed the OEM equipment on this ST. However saw a previous viewer saying a rated company. Think you know now your loyal followers want a part 2. Great work!

You mentioned there was loads of white "smoke". I thought these engines (at least some of them) had head gasket issues (for which there was a Ford recall IIRC.) Maybe it blew a head gasket and enough coolant got into #1 to hydrolock it, leading to a bent-then-broken rod and carnage ensued.

@@VAGTechnic I was just giving information on them :) I just sold my mk3 focus st in this colour, miss it so much. Its shocking how people can get a nice car like that in that condition. Depending on the tune and set up... there was a while ago a stage 2 tune what was aggressive... required no extra parts but advised you had your pistons done etc with the tune as without this was a risk engine could go... I'd wipe the tune anyway... eliminate everything. But I've just found your channel, in addicted! So talented man. Look forward seeing it finished.

Greetings from a Ford enthusiast from Down Under in Australia.
Just watched this video 2 years after you posted it.
Loved watching you do the turbo replacement and the bodywork and paint repair, great work and result, but so sad to see it end with an engine failure.
Engine failures like that do happen with engines have been tuned, especially with the Mk3 Focus RS.
Alarm bells rang for me as soon as I caw the CP logo, knowing it was tuned and not knowing it's history can be like playing Russian Roulette.
These engines are prone to low speed pre-ignition (and more so when tuned) and if ownwers are not aware they can be doing harm to their engines with out knowing or cars have been abused and flogged with the extra power.
Feel bad for the new owner who was hoping to get a fantastic ST to enjoy driving and ended up with a dead car.
Was hoping to see a Part 2 with an engine swap and a happy ending for the owner. 🙂

These engines are crap anyway, had know issues with water consumption and that could be your problem to. Crank was pushed out by excessive pressure caused by water in cylinders. On top of it, when you see label from some tuning house on car like this, what you should do is walk a way, or prepare huge pile of money. If money will not be needed consider your self very lucky. I would like to see owner happy in the end! hope he gets good replacement engine, but be aware, strip the engine to the bone. and check the block very thoroughly. I would also like to see this failed engine striped, just so we se why it failed.

What a shame after all that work...gutted for you it was a beautiful turned out car.....I repair my son's St225 and it has a stage 2 tune...fingers crossed so far after 4 years engine is still good..however a lot of ABS sensor/traction control faults...gearbox went bang...trying to change that on my driveway on my back was a nightmare....wheel bearings..driveshafts...always something needs doing...his friend has same car...his engine went bang..had it professionally rebuilt by reputable company...6 months later his wife went over a speed bump cracked the sump and blew the engine again due to lack of oil...good cars if left as standard from factory...

Common problem with the rear arches on all focus? Had to have my 15 plate ST3 back to Ford for the paint warranty

I had 2006 ST and there was same paint problems on rear arches. It seems that paint and rust issues are still there even years have gone. New generation of Focuses still have build quality issues.

Nothing to do with collins preformance. Do you understand how many ST owners get tuned with CP? iv had mine on for years and im FLAT OUT for hours on the weekends. I punish the engine and it keeps giving. Dont act like you know what your talking about. You dont. CP leave all fords safety features in place.
