    A wideband O2 sensor doesn't offer any additional functionality like suggested in the video, it merely allows you to monitor a wider band of O2 readings for when the AFR falls outside that which a narrow band sensor can handle.

      Getting the bike dyno tuned will generally provide the most peak horsepower/torque, but an auto tune kit is a nice addition if there are no tuners locally or you tend to ride at different altitudes or throw on new parts frequently. -TeamZilla AJ

    A friend of mine just put fuel injection on his Kawasaki ZX9R project bike. A 2003 Kawasaki Z1000 harness with a Z1000 ECU. He also installed a set of ZX10 R throttle bodies with 2 port injectors. A Dyno jet PC 5 from a Honda CB 1000RR was used and it wires right up. Does the Auto Tune need to run all of the time or should it be disconnected once it discovers the correct A/F ratio?

    Have you seen the ridiculous size of the O2 sensors? They need to add that it always require fabrication to install into your exhaust. No support from Dynojet and unintelligent response. Might as well plan to spend $250+ for a shop to drill and weld new holes. Then they suggest to have the bike dyno costing even more. Very poor planning on Dynojet.

      Adam Z they are tricky, I'm installing two on my vtx1800 and it's very hard to hide them. I had to order stainless steel bungs since the kit comes with carbon, but I just picked the spots with the most room and made a mark. Then I used a harbor freight step drill to make the hole, pulled the exhaust and found someone that could weld stainless and he did it for free! so it may not be as many beards difficulty as it sounds.

    I've got a Power Vision without the Auto Tune kit. I'm pretty happy with it, as I feel my bike has equal performance to other bikes I have test ridden with larger engines. I am concerned about making an expensive purchase and time consuming install to fix a bike that isn't broke. I welcome your response. I've made exhaust and air cleaner mods, but no cams or throttle body changes. At this time I like my bike so much I doubt I'm ever going to do any of those changes.

      No, there are only adapters for putting a 12mm sensor into an 18mm bung. You cannot put an 18mm sensor into a 12mm bung, since the O2 sensor needs to be down in the exhaust stream. You would need to have the 18mm bung welded on. -DrewZilla

    • @TaylorAmes
      @TaylorAmes ปีที่แล้ว

      @@persico9017 TL:DR at the bottom.
      The way I understand it, you only "need" to accept the changes while it's initially learning.
      By default, the autotune can only add or subtract 20% fuel from the base map (this can be changed). If there isn't a map that's close, it may be necessary in the beginning to accept the fuel changes multiple times to ensure it can add or subtract enough fuel to properly tune the bike. Everytime you accept the changes, the trims are loaded into the fuel map and the trim table is reset, allowing for the autotune to again add or subtract 20% fuel.
      Once its had the chance to learn what the bike wants on all parts of the fuel map, you can accept the changes one last time and it will have 20% trim to account for any environment changes day to day. Now it will be 100% autotune with no input required.
      TL:DR - The base fuel map won't be perfect in any case, so the autotune will do its best to learn what the bike wants and adjust the fuel trim table as you ride. If you are happy with the table it makes, you click accept and it uploads the changes to the fuel map. Now it will only need to make small adjustments to account for atmospheric conditions.

    How critical is it to weld the bungs at 10°?? If so what direction should it be leaning towards to? Cylinder or exhaust? Can i weld then in the same position as the stock one?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's critical that it's 10 degrees at a minimum above the horizontal plane. It can be more, but it should not be less. If on a vertical section of the header, that means the sensor will point towards the exhaust. If on a horizontal section of tube, it would generally be perpendicular to the header tube. -DrewZilla

      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the PCV, you would download the appropriate fuel map using the Power Commander software. If you are satisfied with the downloaded fuel map, then you don't even need auto tune. You only need auto tune if you feel you need to make additional changes to the fuel map already made for your selected exhaust. Regardless, you generally don't need a dyno run. If using auto tune, you have to ride the bike with the auto tune set to record data. After riding, you use the Power Commander software to accept the auto tuner's suggested changes. -DrewZilla

      No, you still have to flash a map. The auto tune just acts as a dyno on the street. You enable auto tune mode, go out for a ride, save the auto tune results as a new map, and then you flash that map to the bike. It does not alter your fuel map in real time while riding. -DrewZilla

      RevZilla, your response to Ghost0361's question is incorrect. Here's an excerpt from PowerCommander's website:
      "Once installed, the Auto Tune kit monitors the fuel mixture (by installing the included Wide Band O2 sensor in the exhaust). It then sends this information to the Power Commander V and automatically corrects it while you ride. "
      "The Auto Tune kit can be configured to run and correct at all times or by using the "map switch port" on the PCV."
      So based on this info it will make the adjustments while riding thereby improving the ride, but it won't flash it to the PCV. So the next time you go for a ride, if you didn't accept the AutoTune trims after your ride with the AutoTune running, it will revert back to the base map previously loaded and saved into the PCV and start correcting again from scratch.

      @badass1g ปีที่แล้ว

      So based on the above post. Is it best to leave the auto tune always on the “run and correct at all times” setting? Or is it best to save the map that it recommended after each ride?

    Do I have to weld on the stock exhaust on a KTM RC 390 2018? And what about on the Tyga Serpent dual exhaust? Which of these two upgrade parts will give me more gains in horsepower?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I believe the stock exhaust has a 12mm O2 bung, but the DynoJet Auto Tuner uses an 18mm O2 sensor and bung. You will need to have the larger bung welded to the header. I believe the Tyga exhaust also has a 12mm bung. However, you should ask them directly if they make them with 18mm bungs. If you install the Tyga, you would probably need to install a Power Commander V anyway. I recommend the exhaust and a Power Commander V. -DrewZilla

    Hi i use sc project exhaust for my Yamaha r1 2018. And the pipe is split to two or Y connection its okay to weld the bung to one of the pipe or i need to be weld in the End of Y connection to be the reading is accurate?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would either weld the bung in the same position where the stock exhaust's bung was or after the Y where all 4 headers come together. -DrewZilla

    Well this is weird, I got the auto tune kit. Power vision told me the reason it’s not working is because I have to weld a second set of bungs and run my stock sensors plus these wide band sensors. They said I need the target tune to just plug everything in and go. Right now every light on my dash is on and the power visions is giving me the codes wbf! And wbr! Meaning o2 sensors not ready. It’s been a real pain had a bunch of motor work done and my ,echanic was told by power vision this was the kit we needed but now they are saying no we need target tune, ya know an extra 250.

    Dyno jet doesn't stand by there commanders , and if you call and ask to speak with a manager they won't let you. They will take your # and have a warranty manager call you back.

      +kevin immoos For fuel-injected bikes, you need a fuel controller in order to "tune" the bike yourself after exhaust installation. That could be a Dynojet Power Commander, Dynojet Power Vision, Vance & Hines Fuelpak or FP3. -DrewZilla

    Is there any adjustment that needs to be made with a computer? Will it require Dyno time to make these adjustments so the bike never runs to lean? The pro that is installing mine has mixed feelings about this over a map. I am trying to figure out why.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you will need a PC to use and accept the Auto Tuner recommended changes. You do not need a dyno, though, as you can do the auto-tuning on the street. -DrewZilla

    • @speedingtickets8600
      @speedingtickets8600 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I watched some videos. From what I can tell... Autotune reads the A/F ratio, makes corrections, then tells you what corrections it made and recommends a better map for the PC. Is that right?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Almost. The Auto Tuner reads the data from the O2 sensors. It doesn't make corrections by itself. After completing a ride in Auto Tune mode, you connect to the computer (or use the Power Vision) and apply the A/F ratio recommendations to improve your map. You then save the new map to the Power Commander or Power Vision. -DrewZilla

    I have a 2014 Street Triple ABS, I checked the PC website and found no maps for my combination of air filter and exhaust. I don't have a dyno anywhere close to me so tuning it there is out of question. If I get PCV and autotune, how would I go about tuning my bike or get a base map?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd use the closest map as a base map, then use Autotune to customize the map from there. -DrewZilla

    I have a 2008 Kawasaki zx14. Has the PCV with Kenny Rogers KR Tuned slip ons. I plan on taking out the 2nd set of butterflies, installing the 2006/2007 exhaust header (ungrade from mine. Has no cats) and leave it rest stock. I have a map off your site that was recommended by one of the dyno jet techs but it is not that great. I live in Meridian Idaho and go up into the mountains. In the Valley it's average 2300-2600 elevation. Mountains go up to 5000k plus. How well will this work for me? Will it adjust fast and smooth where I will not see my fuel range jump all over the place like it does now? I can weld the bung in no problem there.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Auto Tuner does not adjust fuel maps on-the-fly. It just allows you to make a map based on your modifications. It might help you get an improved map for your elevation though. -DrewZilla
