    I just found one on a 09 street glide I got a couple months ago. Now I’ve been looking for operating instructions. I don’t have a computer but would love to turn the dam idle down from 1000 sometimes 1200 to frickin 800. Drives me nuts. I’ve had an evo with an S&S for 15 years and have gotten used to how a Harley should sound. Except I had to fight that idle screw backing out now and then. But at least I had one. Ugggh

    Looks like this is absolutely the safest bet for a stage 1 without tarnishing warranty. AND it’s tunable. Take that EPA. Sorry Harley / Screamin Eagle. Blew your motor? Unplug it and throw on the stock parts. Boom. New engine for free. 🤘🏼 exactly what I was looking for with my extended warranty. Can’t wait to wake my bike up with the cobra el diablo 2-1 exhaust, cobra 90* cone air cleaner, dk custom breather / catch can, and tune. Let’s gooooo 🤘🏼

    I mounted my PCV in the same spot you guys did because there was no space under the seat! Just needed some good velcro. Anyway - it's working great and easy access to switch maps on the go with my phone.

    I read from some article that HD ecm do not like piggy back n fooling ecm as programed therefore the bike would shut down year layer. Is this true statement?

    What the better one the pc5. Or power vision. Pros and cons

  • @K.Vereen
    @K.Vereen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question. So the HD ECM is expecting 1.4 Volts but the PCV shows 1.5 Volts to the ECM. How can the PCV compensate for that voltage difference so that when the bike does it's system check & see the 1.5Volts it doesn't freak out the ECM?

    • @WAKO426
      @WAKO426 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya agree what saying doc harley did review on this said it will be fine for a while but after about year will shut down because ecm won't keep agreeing with pre check on ecm

    Great video, thank you. I recently bought a 2014 Street Glide with a Power Comander, however I dud not get the software with it. I still have the cable and CD from a Power Comander I purchased for a 2012 Ultra Classic. Will that CD be compatible with the newer Power Comander?

    Do you still need a Fuel Pak FP3 after the power commander installation?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Davis Le No, the Power Commander and the Fuelpak FP3 are both fuel controllers. You would use one or the other, not both. Keep in mind that the Fuelpak includes auto-tuning, whereas the Power Commander V for Harley requires the Dynojet Auto Tune Kit for Harley. Therefore, if your Harley is compatible with the Fuelpak FP3 and you have an Apple or Android phone/tablet, the Fuelpak 3 would be a more affordable option. -DrewZilla

    Lemmy I think your a (H.D) bikers biker . I would love to ride with you sometime . I enjoy your motorcycle reviews and hope you keep doing more. Maybe Indian & Victory & of course more Harley . Does the FP3 have ignition timing , throttle response, & Rev limiter adjustment capabilities like the PVC ? Can you use the vision commander in conjunction with the PVC for auto tuning or are they separate units?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the FP3 will allow throttle adjustments on Harleys with electronic throttles as well as rev limiter changes, but it does not allow changes to ignition timing. As for the Power Vision vs. the PCV, you cannot use them in conjunction with each other, as they're separate units. With a Power Vision, you would use the specific Auto Tuner for Power Vision. -DrewZilla

      1.) How can this be used to get best tuned performance from a modified engine in California? 2.) What is the penalty if you have it installed in CA? 3.) Seems it could be discretely installed and know one would know the difference? 4.) Can you use it to tune your engine, set maps and then remove it or must it be installed during operation of the motorcycle?

    My service tech told me the bike is hesitant at around 2000 rpm’s and mentioned the power commander V can fry my Harley’s computer. He suggested I switch to the power vision. If I switched, it would cost me $200 for the license and $350 for the labor of mapping my 2017 street glide special. I have installed Vance and Hines dresser dual headers, Vance and Hines monster round slips ons and a k&n air filter. Is this necessary or should I just have the bike dyno tuned with the power commander V I already have installed? I don’t know a thing about making changes to the canned map I’m using but there was no map for the exact equipment I have on my bike.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I would stick with the Power Commander V and have it tuned. -DrewZilla

      With the appropriate map, the Power Commander can help reduce popping on deceleration. so it seems like the top two contenders are PCV and fuelpak 3 by V&H.
    are they both pretty equal? or is the PCV really worth the extra money? i can pick up a FP3 for like $320, and to get the PCV with auto tune it's like $700 for both...

      In my opinion, the FP3 has made tuning much more affordable and accessible, so as long as you have an Android or Apple iOS device, I recommend the FP3. The FP3 actually offers more features (diagnostic readouts and live data). -DrewZilla

    Don't use the cheap ass velcro that comes with the commander ( glue stuck great but velcro did hold) it will slip off. I installed mine just as they said and the velcro didn't hold it
    causing the commander to fall off and rub on the drive belt. After Dynojet told me to send it in , Dynojet wouldn't fix or replace it .
    They make a good product but shouldn't expect the cheap ass velcro to hold the box. Make sure you zip tie the dam thing down.

      My street bike is for the highway and canyons. And no its not practical. It's good to know the mechanics of both bikes and how they operate differently.
      I would like to see a new motor design from harley using gears and such and not the push rod designs.

    • @guysmiley8473
      @guysmiley8473 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Colby Butler it's called a V-Rod. The reason HD still builds bikes the way they do is because people like that.

    • @kingkole02
      @kingkole02 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Guy Smiley Interesting though the Vrod uses no push rods. it's overhead cams and liquid cooled. also developed in part by Porche. so technically it's not really a true harley. it's a good bike but not retro developed

    • @guysmiley8473
      @guysmiley8473 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Colby Butler so, Harley should have hired the engineer that helped design the V-Rod engine, because then it would be a "true harley"? I don't understand why this is always brought as a slam against HD. It's still your non push ride HD motor. The point is that Harley produced the V-Rod and it has it's following, but doesn't appeal to all. All companies have their loyal customers that appreciate their products. Some companies can make changes that their customers appreciate, some don't. Like a hot dog at Burger King.
