@@markdavidson-yw9yt yes, they are legal and not as loud as a full turboback/ catback exhaust system they make for a great upgrade. Any muffler shop can make them or you buy them. A broken or sawed off muffler doesn't sound the same as an axle back (muffer delete), and they're way cheaper.

I would like to find out if these 5 mods can be done on the 2022+ WRX. Also, it would be great if you could point me to a video that shows how to tune the 2022+ WRX to around 350HP.
With an AOS you should check your state’s emissions laws. In California if you take the car in to be smogged and it has an aftermarket AOS they will fail your car, at least that’s what I’m told.
I have a completely stock 06 sti that has the rear clunk issue. I want to just stick with factory suspension but waa thunking for cost i could just do BC's. Would those be a pretty comparable feel to the stock STI suspension?
I have a 5th Gen Impreza wagon (2019). does this car utilize the same chassis as the new WRX? if so, would wrx suspension bolt up to the Impreza? I wish my wagon had stiffer suspension, but I don't want to lower the car very much, I feel like over an inch drop from springs would be too much for me
Just recently got a 2010 STI that the dealership is putting a new motor in due to their negligence. With the car being my daily when I get it back and not planning on doing any track days how imperative is it to do the windage tray and oil pickup?
I wouldent say it's super needed if your using it as a Dailey. But it's definitely not a bad idea to add in. Tbh the dealer may add it on it you ask them and bring it to them
@@Smeedia I honestly don't trust them to put the motor in let alone the tray and pickup but I didn't have any other option since the bearings getting fried was partially their fault. If it was a Subaru dealership then it would be fine but it's a chrysler 🤦♂️.
I've never seen a trans mount fail from only installing a pitch stop before. If you swap engine mounts + pitch stop I'd agree, but pitch stop only (assuming it's not a solid mount) Will be fine
@@Smeedia I thought the same thing but it says front caster plate. I looked it up and vids said caster adjusts the axis of rotation for the suspension. Idk why that would change if I got coilovers or if I’m missing the point
Thanks for this video! Wish some prick didn’t clip the back of my 2021 wrx and total it so I could keep modding it! Usually the first thing I change immediately is a weighted shift knob and strut tower bar! Cheapest noticeable mods in my opinion! And I miss the sound of my invidia r400 catback I put on it! Shitty drivers suck 😂
You gotta make 1 promise, seeing as you won't stop with the grinder or drill on your body panels please please please *NEVER* install those boso exhausts on any of your soobs! 😜
The stock Subaru pitch stop mount is designed to sheer during a front end collision and allow the motor and gearbox to dip down and move under the car/passenger compartment. Although an aftermarket pitch stop mount will firm up the motor mounting and improving throttle response it also is very dangerous in a big front end collision as the motor and gearbox will push through the firewall and into the passenger compartment..... Just food for thought.
Understandable. However I don't think a lot of people are worried too much about that. Tbh, in a front-end collision with an after-market pitch stop. The pitch stop would probably act the same way, except instead of the pitch stop snapping, the spot welds for the pitch stop bracket would probably sheer off

Cobb makes a CARB legal version 🫡 but very good point to add in 🙌
Shifter Stop is my favorite for a 6MT Subaru. Does that count as a modification 😂?
Have you built an older rs impreza? Ive been looking at them lately and there kinda cool looking
I have one but haven't touched it yet 👀
I didn't know Eminem was a TH-camr 😂 jk.
Mom's spaghetti
On my sweater already
😂
My buddy had an rx7 back in the mid 90s, i dont rember him using premix in his gas for some reason?
Hey Mr smeeds is It possible to do a forward facing manifold that keeps ac
Yes 🫡 it requires some custom fab but it can be done
I have a completely stock 06 sti that has the rear clunk issue. I want to just stick with factory suspension but waa thunking for cost i could just do BC's. Would those be a pretty comparable feel to the stock STI suspension?
Bruh, come join the live stream 😂
What livestream? 👀
@@Smeedia whops, it was a TH-cam live stream. I was doing my 5k giveaway.
What best brand do you recommend for the rear sway bar ? I hear so many stories of so many brands that break easily !
Does a muffler delete need a tune? Would it still meet texas specifics?
No tune needed, and I would check local laws. Most the time it comes down to a sound ordiance if it meets requirements for decibel levels
I have a 23 wrx, I’m going to do fortune auto coilovers. Do I need lower control arms as well?
Rear LCAs are definitely not a bad thing to snag. But not always 100% needed. The SPC or whitelines are always my go to 🫡
@@Smeedia awesome! Thanks man
I have a 5th Gen Impreza wagon (2019). does this car utilize the same chassis as the new WRX? if so, would wrx suspension bolt up to the Impreza? I wish my wagon had stiffer suspension, but I don't want to lower the car very much, I feel like over an inch drop from springs would be too much for me
Had to replace both valve cover gaskets on my '16 wrx. Leaking spark plug wells. Is that from 19 lbs boost? $540.😢
Nah, sounds like it was just their time 😩
Just the tips.
Only the Tips
A new pitch stop mount needs a new transmission mount. Otherwise the oem mount is stressed and may fail
I've never seen a trans mount fail from only installing a pitch stop before. If you swap engine mounts + pitch stop I'd agree, but pitch stop only (assuming it's not a solid mount) Will be fine
@@Smeedia oh yeah, I was assuming a solid mount. I put a Perrin stop in mine coupled with group n tranny mount. 2020wrx base.
if i already switched both sway bar should i just get an even thicker rear sway to balance it out?
Only if you feel like the car still understeers. 90% of the time I will use the OE front and a larger rear 🙏
Thanks 🙏
BISH!!!!!!!!!!................................great video! All it needed was more dog.
They were hanging out in the background 😅
Muffler ‘delete’?!?!?
NO!!!! Wtf…..
"Muffler delete" ETS, nameless performance all have options with mufflers if you want to retain one. But they're still called muffler Deletes
What brand of catch cans would you recommend?
The radium ones are 👌
@@Smeediathats what ill get!!thank you!!🙏
Anybody know what the front caster plate is good for? It’s optional with BC coils and it’s an extra $250 but I don’t understand it’s purpose?
Camber or caster plate?
@@Smeedia I thought the same thing but it says front caster plate. I looked it up and vids said caster adjusts the axis of rotation for the suspension. Idk why that would change if I got coilovers or if I’m missing the point
Thanks for this video! Wish some prick didn’t clip the back of my 2021 wrx and total it so I could keep modding it! Usually the first thing I change immediately is a weighted shift knob and strut tower bar! Cheapest noticeable mods in my opinion! And I miss the sound of my invidia r400 catback I put on it! Shitty drivers suck 😂
Did insurance total it out?! 😫
This is my first winter with an aos I hope I’m not effing myself cuz I live in Indiana
Just monitor things. If you store your car under a car port or in a garage you shouldent have too much issue 🙏
13!
31? 👀
The sun visors in my 21 limited suck!! Otherwise I love my car
I wish they pulled out like other brands do 😫
Mannnn when Is this rx7 content coming back 😮💨
Working on it right now 👀
None of these mods are needed or necessary for street driven or daily driven cars.
You gotta make 1 promise, seeing as you won't stop with the grinder or drill on your body panels please please please *NEVER* install those boso exhausts on any of your soobs! 😜
That's definitely not my taste so no worries, your safe there 😅
Anyone know how much HP the stock fa20 block good for?
Yeah it’s called google
Safley 400 and below. HP dosent tend to kill them, when you start getting higher TQ numbers that's what will bend a rod
What are your top 5 coilovers?
Fortune auto
Bc BR
Fortune Auto
OHLINS
In no specific order, each has their own place 🙏
@@Smeedia how are yellowspeed coilovers I've heard good and bad
@acidmike3535 personally I do not like them, they're loud, quality was meh on the sets I've had.
First comment 😁
MY man's Lance 👌🔥
The stock Subaru pitch stop mount is designed to sheer during a front end collision and allow the motor and gearbox to dip down and move under the car/passenger compartment. Although an aftermarket pitch stop mount will firm up the motor mounting and improving throttle response it also is very dangerous in a big front end collision as the motor and gearbox will push through the firewall and into the passenger compartment..... Just food for thought.
Understandable. However I don't think a lot of people are worried too much about that. Tbh, in a front-end collision with an after-market pitch stop. The pitch stop would probably act the same way, except instead of the pitch stop snapping, the spot welds for the pitch stop bracket would probably sheer off
No worries. Just thought I would call it out. As I have heard of firewalls being bent in from it.
Love your content, keep it up.
I want reliability first and foremost
Then some reliable mods that get me to 350-400whp
I got videos on those 🫡
@@Smeediathanks. I’ve watched a ton of your content and you’re the best in the STI business when it comes to digestible information. Keep up the great work.
😎👍🏻👍🏻
TOMMMM 🥳
@@Smeedia hahaahaha
i have a 24’ impreza sport with a 2 cylinder engine , is there anything i can mode on this car ?
A 2 cylinder?!
@@Smeedia 2 liter , 4 cylinder. that was my mistake there
Öhlins > Fortune auto
Meh depends. Has Ohlins and they were about the same as my FA with swift springs
@@Craiggg12345 might be how they where setup, I’ve been loving the öhlins for time attack

@@Craiggg12345 what do you mean , besides checking coolant health and changing oil every like 5ks what else ?
Slammed it on its nuts and have -10 degreases of camber 😮💨🤌🏼👌🏽
Tbh, that's kind of impressive 😅
I had that on my 09 fxt. Trying to get another one
Are there any good exhaust setups for the FA20 that can provide a deeper rumble similar to the STI, Or would I need to upgrade my engine to like a FA24 to get even remotely close?
