This just worked beautifully on my 2022 Camaro ZL1. Hood was slightly low at the hatch and this brought it up flush with the rest of the car. Huge help! Took 5 min
Hi, I need help. My 2000 Mercedes S430 hood was crooked/uneven when looking at it from the front after I got home from getting an oil change. Like it didn’t shut all the way on the drivers side. This panicked me and I can’t believe the mechanics left it that way. Could those hood stop things be causing this and do they work the same way as these that you’re showing? I sure appreciate any help. Thanks.
i've never worked on your particular car so i'm not sure but most vehicles are similar but i would take it back to the mechanic and see if they will fix it .
I've got an 04 chevy avalanche that i put an aftermarket cowl hood on. I've adjusted the latch in the front up all the way but it won't latch. It's almost as if the metal piece on the hood itself is too short, do you have any suggestions?
i have had this happen in the past on an aftermarket hood if the original striker from the original hood can be used start with that if that's what you're using or it wont fit than if the striker can be unbolted then you can put shims or washers in-between the hood and striker but you may have to get longer bolts
I replaced my hood from hitting a deer. The hinges and everything line up. But when I go to close my hood the hook that connects to the latch is past the latch. Is there a way to bring the latch forward a bit?
it sounds like your radiator support might be pushed back to far if you can't adjust it with the bolts you could shim it out some but make sure the safety catch works properly
Need help, I had to replace my cars hood because I was in a minor accident. The hood closes fine but on the left side it is aligned back to normal but the right side of it it lifted a little?
Junk works DIY Garage Basically I replaced the hood of my car. When I close it, from the middle to the left it closes perfectly, but from the middle to the right its lifted up a little. What can be wrong?
I replaced the hood on my 2003 Silverado 2500 hd. And the hinges. Now it closes in the front but on both sides it sticking up at least an inch. I don't want to force it and bend the new hinges. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
your hinges are probably adjusted to high were they attach to the fender. i have had to ream them out some if they don't have enough adjustment on chevys in particular.
@@JunkworksGarage it shuts but on both sides all the way from front to back is a 3/4 in gap all the way down both sides. Other than that the hood is straight and square. I'm going to mess with it in a little bit. Thanks for the info. I really don't want to drill anything
@@JunkworksGarage i accessed my hood latch and loosened it a bit. I realized can be slightly moved to the left, to the right, up and down. My question is, if i adjust the latch to the highest level, what would be the affect on the hood? Another question is, if the latch is at the lowest level, will closing the lid be difficult?
@@smilelines at the heist level your hood would be loose and rattle , at the lowest point it might be difficult to get to the safety catch but it depends on the hood
My truck isn't a FORD, but the principals worked the same for my vehicle. I moved it up...BANG..worked fine! Thx!

What if its a bit more in and i gotta pull it a bit out so it can close and latch properly

if your hood won't adjust enough sometimes you might have to shim the fender

What's of name of little screws on the side corners you turning clockwise sr .
i don't know the technical name but i would call them hood adjusters
@@JunkworksGarage ok thanks sr
are there any pros and cons of lowering the bumpers to high on to low
To high it wont line up and would be hard to open to low and the hood will rattle when driving at high speed
What is the effect of adjusting the height of the latch all the way up?
not sure what you mean but if you mean all the way in so its tight that would pull the hood down further
