Quickly relieve pelvic floor tension using Somatic movements and principles.
The pelvic floor plays a crucial role in our overall well-being, affecting everything from posture, breathing, digestion and elimination. Through this series of slow, low effort Somatic movements, you'll learn to engage with your body in an intelligent new way, encouraging deliberate relaxation, and an effective 'letting go' of accumulated stress and tension.
Allow me to guide you through the simple process of reducing any habituated tension in your pelvic area. With each movement, you'll enhance your sensory motor awareness, allowing you to release tightness and promote comfort.

Another great one, thx Colm, kegel-esque!
Glad you found it helpful Kate!
Excellent. Feels good and relaxed. Didn’t know I was so tense.
Awesome! So glad you found that helpful. Enjoy that relaxed feeling. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Colm ! I will add this to the movement videos I am following now ( supine back lift , balance and walking for gait )
You're welcome! Let me know how you get on with this one.
@@LearnSomaticsColm , do these movements release the sacrum area ?

I of all of the movements, still don't know which is best ,even in your daily routine ,if i had time for one it might be stuck in the muds
Strange i never see that as a suggestion ir choice for that matter.
hiya I've had hypertonic pelvic floor muscles for 8 years now will this be ok for me I'm so scared of the tightening part of your exercise will I be ok to do that please please reply thank you so much
Yes, I too have had hypertonic pelvic floor ..,, although he has some great videos overall that are wonderful , I don’t think this is good for hypertonicity. I would check out Deborah Bowes video ( reducing pelvic floor tension ) here on u tube
My understanding is hypertonic pelvic muscles are weak muscles. Hopefully we will get confirmation weather that is true or not. 😊
@@LS030 it means that they are over active and need to relax and not tighten… I personally don’t find this video to be affective but just by looking at it after I have done a ton of hypertonic pt and Feldonkrais .. seriously check out the woman I recommended above. She is great for the hypertonic pelvic floor stuff.
@@maryjanehalligan6210 thank you xx
Hi Glyn, if you are fearful about tightening the pelvic floor here are two suggestions.
Visualise the movement only, so lay down close you eyes an dlisten to the instructions and just IMAGINE doing it.
You can do the movement but leave out that part. So do everything else EXCEPT the pelvic floor part.
Give those a try and see how you feel. You don't have to do anything you're not comfortable doing. Let me know if they help. Thanks for watching.🙏
Do you mean as this like a pelvic tilt and kegal combo ?
