    I feel like I’ve been waiting for this one. It pairs beautifully with the plantar fasciitis video. Even if you don’t have plantar f.

      Yes, that's a good observation. They're getting at the same issue, an imbalance between the two side of the waist. Don't forget your Side Bends too! th-cam.com/video/8mqZd_Ptt0s/w-d-xo.html

      could this be named balancing the pelvis or would that be too broad?

      I find when I release the waist it helps with jaw pain. I often get jaw tension on one side and when I release the waist it frees this up.

      Hi Anne isnt it amazing as we get to the roots of what might be binding our tensions it helps more of our life never mind our body’s.

    Hey Colm, are you supposed to frel these only at your waist? Or are you supposed to feel this all up your trunk as well? I feel my waist tighten strongly, but I dont know if I am doing them correctly.

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You will feel it mostly in your waist but also in the rest of your trunk. When you contract your waist your entire trunk will move. Sounds like you’re doing a great job. Does it feel good afterwards?

    Can you do this excercise if you have a knee problem or a total replacement knee. Would that be an issue with this exercise?

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mercy, this one is all about hiking the hips to even up the legs. So there's really not much happening with the knees themselves during this movement.
      Have you been cleared for movement by your physician? If you have then you could give it a try.
      If you are comfortable with the various working positions (one leg bent, one leg straight, both straight, and both knees bent) you should be fine. Go slow, don't force anything and pay attention to the movements of your hips and waist. That said, trust your body, if any of it causes pain or discomfort in your knee, stop.
      Let me know how it goes.

    I understand many of the videos help to balance the pelvis ., duck feet and Charlie .... can they help ūs in similar ways ?
    I have done both but.....

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there's some overlap on them. But you need to be able to move your trunk and spine first before you get into the hips and legs.
