    Free your upper back and shoulder muscles quickly and easily. This movement is a great way to relax all the muscles of the upper back including your traps and rhomboids (between the shoulder blades). If you find you are tight and stiff in these areas, this movement is for you.
    Remember when practicing Somatic movements to always go slow, make the movements as smooth as you can, and stay within a range of motion that is comfortable for you. No forcing or straining as this will diminish your results. Pay close attention to the sensation of your muscles gently contracting and relaxing as you move.

    Incredibly helpful. I also noticed a release of stored trauma as my shoulder was really asking for attention and this subtle exercise just helped release it. Really appreciated

    Eric had a move for the upper back shoulder +, he talked about the Glenoid Fassa, i think maybe that why i still have this shoulder issue i am having, but, then again, ribs, neck, waist collar bone trunk he blames breathing, maybe, but…..answer if you can along with your other 10, ooo..

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your ribs feel tight then your breathing will be restricted. And you breathe all day every day so the pattern gets entrenched. Can you breathe all the way up into the top of your ribs? And down into your belly?

    • @cinmac3
      @cinmac3 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LearnSomatics yes i can.
      i don't get it, it is something with breathing and speaking, like, i am not able to coordinate it,that might be why my belly is tight?!?
      i really appreciate you!

      Stick to the curling movements then until you can clearly sense your belly muscles shortening and lengthening properly. That's a really fundamental action to be able to do.

    What's the difference in ourbodys pulling rope and reverse pulling rope?

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pulling Rope addresses scapular protraction and Reverse Pulling Ripe addresses scapular retraction.
