I had such a hard time with posture and then I had a treatment called ‘Rolfing’ (yes, funny name) and it changed everything for me. Rolfing works with the fascia to feee the body to become aligned, it changed my life.

This. Now we're talking real stuff. I mean, there are lots of things you can do to help posture, but so much of it is on a subconcious level. Many restrictions of poor posture is in the brain-to-body connection and some of it is in the fascia. Oro-myofuncional exerises isn't the only way to go about it.

And if you have lumbar lordosis just do it in reverse with the slouch posture.

Wonderful work! Thank you Dr! Just for your consideration and further investigation: Please, for correct spinal arrangement look into the theory and practice of the "J-spine". This is found mainly in Esther Gokhale's work and the Whole Women community with Christine Kent. This theory is based on the ancestral posture or natural posture still observable in tribal communities. The anterior pelvic tilt is needed for this, and sacral flexibility. What I find also important as a yoga teacher is to teach people that pelvic floor is not a floor, and the ribcage should not be tilted backwards. This helps optimal diaphragm positining. Greater lumbar lordosis and lesser upper kyphosis is what gives the spine the J- shape. This also brings the head and neck backwards like in chin tuck. When applying increased anterior tilt with J-shaped spine it helps normal continence mechanisms of the bladder, uterus and sigmoid colon which helps prevent many problems like sagging internal organs and prolapse.

Speaking of posture, I had a big light bulb turned on, a week ago, after visiting, in DC, the exhibition of Tuthankamon tomb ( a replica of course). It is well known the head forward posture of Pharaohs or various deities representation found in that tomb. One of the objects found in the tomb was a headrest which the Pharaoh was using to rest his head on, the explanation of the guide said. That object was looking a bit like a cradle or an anvil, superbly decorated and hard as a stone which was actually made of. Then, all of a sudden I understood where the head forward posture was coming from. And what’s also interesting is that the pharaohs, although very young at the age he passed, 18, has a bit of a belly protruding.. I am wondering if you, Dr. Mew, wouldn’t like to make an analysis of these aspects.

The Gokhale Method helped me to transform my posture by softening my knees in order to straighten my spine during standing. She explains in great detail how to walk properly, using the glutes to propel the body forward instead of the quads and knees. Tucking the pelvis is something we all learned to do, but it inhibits proper spinal alignment. Her method goes hand in hand with mewing! I highly recommend: she transformed my life out of chronic pain and ugly posture. She's referenced in the book "Jaws" as well.

9:40 see how in the diagram that we first have to correct posture before we gain benefits? They indeed go hand-in-hand (external(Vessel(/Body)) and internal(tongue) posture)

The major problem is that I only sit while watching phone which makes us lean anyway or we have to hold the phone mid air. What is the posture and solution in this case?

I've learned that people who have a job where they mostly stand still during the time, they are getting problems with the bloodveins...vasculair constriction in the legs. Is this different with working with a standing desk?

Loving this new video format! I have a quick question if possible. I have always been missing an adult pre-molar, my mandible has slowly sunk on one side, and maxilla is less developed above. Is continuing mewing safe for someone in my situation or could this exacerbate the issue?

Alright, so this is hardly week 2, and I am already seeing results 😂 but one thing to take note of is I already have apparent jawline 😂 but mewing gave details to it and made it more prominent.
I am confused because I didn't expect results to show up this early.
And I think it takes time for those who are war far from Jawline... so that's just an update from my side...
Again, it gave detail to my already PROMINENT JAWLINE.

I have a problem with this video. It's not as straight forward all this suggests. The information seems to come from the old posture book of 20 years ago and most of that information has been debunked.
