- Visit a "bikes only" motel where it's too bad if you're not on two wheels. Find out why this overnight in Texas says "no cars allowed."

I stayed there a couple of times in the late 2000s. Deb was always great, even when she was overwhelmed. I miss this place. Every time I pass by the old location on my bike, it hits me right in the feels when I remember that it's not D'Rose anymore.
You've unearthed another gem!
What a great woman, entrepreneur and hostess, whose created a wonderful business model that's clearly working out very well for her and her appreciative guests!
Unfortunately they are permanently closed
@@jeffright2926 Do you know why?
@@giovannimannelli2158 Maybe because bikers don't ride much during the long hot months. "Bikers Only Policy" may have bern bad for business especially during the longest season - just guessing.
Deb is a straight-shooter...don't try to buck the rules & all will be well. You rock, Deb! Great place and I'll be staying there again & again!
Jim
I will have to make this a destination ride!
It's unfortunate that Deb sold the place but I know it was overwhelming for her doing it alone. It's now called "The Historic Leakey Inn" but it's still biker-friendly but not just bikes only now. Good luck to you, Deb!
That's sad. Any reason why
@@ladypamela8269.....I stayed there a few times around '15 and '17, moreorless, was in a truck and altho I'm familiar with the history, I believe they changed for economic reasons...to expand the customer base...but that's just i.m.o. 🤨
Dr. Deb is not there anymore but the building still is
Man I love this show !!! So glad it is on TH-cam... subscribed
Miss Rose I have a XR650L I work for BGE.
God loves ya girl
Thanks for your risky business
Been to Leaky several times to ride the twisted sisters. Great, little town and, the Drug store cafe has some of the hamburgers around with great chocolate malts.
We love the Bent Rim Grill at Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop. They even have a great black bean burger for plant eaters.
What an amazing hotel! Sure wish I would have known when I was in Texas
Very cool. I'll have to add this as a stop for next year's Western swing.
nice to see this place , i use to live there in the 90s ,my dad had a mechanic shop up the hill from there .
The hill country makes it happen. It’s special
I think it is now The Historic Leakey In.
This used to be The Welcome Inn
will love to visit :D
North Georgia has TWO..( two wheels only).
I gotta visit this place!!
I want to ride my bike from Oregon to Texas to stay the night there but I got to find some places on the way to stay
Same here but they are permanently closed
Right On Ugo Girl
How do I make reservations
I'LL BE BACK
Now i gotta rob a bank to get me a proper bike jk 🤣😂🤣😂 !
Turning away customers does not sound like the best way to do business.
Hundreds of motorcycles ride those roads on a daily basis there’s more than enough business just in motorcycle traffic alone
Stopped in Lubbock Tx last week or so only to find out my udentity was stolen.
La Qunita did not care.
Bank unlocked card for room, but hotel would not help with a paltry cash advance of $100 for gas.
Harley Dealer would not help either.
Lubbock doesnt care.
44F, Rain, and no hospitality or christian values, pass on Lubbock.
Shamrock, The Tower, they offered to help.
Happy, Texas, good people too.
Big citys do not reflect the Texas I remember. Independent bike shops do.
Ducati last but not least.
I heard it was closed
Bates Motel
