I grew up in the Texas Hill Country (Boerne) when it was still Boerne and rode the TS practically every week. There are an infinite number of fantastic rides in the Hill Country so don’t limit yourself to what’s now an over populated stretch of road. It’s a beautiful ride and it should be a gateway to riding the Hill Country and not just a destination.
You are correct. I’m a native Texan but unfortunately living in New Mexico right now. Any of the Hill country back roads are fabulous for motorcycling.
Congratulations! Your Twisted Sister video is the most comprehensive and easy-to-follow description that I've seen. Your map near the beginning with way points, direction of travel and routes is invaluable to understanding your ride, particularly for a rider who has never been there. I've watched a lot of Twisted Sister videos that leave one more confused than before. You just clarified this trip. "Rocking The Three Twisted Sisters," is the model template for all touring videos. Keep up the great work! Thx.
Somehow I missed this video so it’s new to me.Hello I think of y’all every time I open my tour pack thanks to your big Ol round sticker right inside the lid.
I love your whole channel but I really enjoy when you take me on rides "with " you! It dosen't always have to be wordy, like some people make them. I so enjoy you both!
Finally did the Sisters last weekend. What a ride! I definitely agree with 335's roller coaster ride being the best. 337 is the most technical. Can't wait to do it again.
Thanks for posting this informative video on the Twisted Sisters. I have just ridden a segment of 337 from Medina to Lost Maples Country Store where y’all fueled up. I plan on riding the rest of the Twisted Sisters soon, and your video provided really good info to help me complete the ride. Thanks!!!
Thank You!! We love your channel! Love watching your video's! We Rv and motorcycle tandem, full-time. Currently in Virgina winter camping, haven't rode, burr! Heading to Alaska for the summer.
At 15:41 of this video is Las Palmas ranch. A very impressive piece of property and home... I'm curions about RR 335, 336, and 337, because they surround this part of the Frio Canyon and lead to nowhere in particular. The landowners here must have some influece with the Real County Officials in order to have those Ranch Roads paved around the Canyon... At 20:18 into this video, the U.S.of A. presidential airplane shown is a Lockheed Martin JetStar II. One of the first airplanes I ever worked on! Keep up the great videos. Your videography is fantastic. Obviously your using good video equipment. I really like the remote camera footage.
I have a motorcycle that I drive once a year for a short period of time. Your vid encouraged me to drive that route. Very nice demonstration of these roads that I did not know exist even though I live close to the area. Well done
That's awesome! I was in Leakey at the Bent Rim Grill just this past Saturday...It's one of the stops on the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas again this year! And, yes, their burgers are awesome! Be safe and keep the rubber side down!
Great video !!!!! I am a proud owner of a 2022 r1250 GSA and you folks have been so much help in finding rides in our Great State of Texas !!!! Thank you so much !! 🙂
What a great laugh we had watching this. The stop light at the new bridge construction was funny. That has happened to us in some of the most middle of nowhere places on our trike trips. Have to say the locals are really nice. I dropped my phone along one of the roads and when back to look for it some 30 minutes later. Stopped at the last place I remembered having it and there on the side of the road was a nice gentleman sitting in his Jeep talking to my son on my phone. He picked it up from the middle of the road. He dialed the "last number called" and was trying to figure out how to get the phone back to us. What a gentlemen.
Chris and Rich, you guys rock. Love watching your videos, you bring travelling to life. Down to earth folk, who tell it, how it is. You spur me on to travel and perhaps get a GoPro and drone to share my travels on TH-cam. Chris, so good to see a Barbie doll in real life. Keep it up guys 😜 Kevin from Hilton, KZN, South Africa
I now live in NE Oklahoma. I have traveled all over north west Arkansas. Watching your latest videos brings back the memory of my rides in that part of the country. When you went to Leakey {Lakey} that stirred up more memories. My parents lived between Leakey and Garven Store, on Hwy 83 and 41. Just east of the 3 sisters. I have also traveled to some of your other destinations., like Devils tower, Sturgis, and the black hills. This summer we are going to the badlands, and Yellowstone. I enjoy your videos, and wish you many more happy miles.
I used to get gas there. Thanks for reminders of great rides past. I believe Lindbergh was in Army Air Corp training when he crashed at Camp Wood. Safe travels.
Most fuel up in Kerrville (north of Medina Hwy 16) or in Bandera (south of Medina Hwy 16)...and of course you can find fuel in LAKE-E (Leakey). Great part of the 3 twisted sisters is the Frio Canyon Motorcycle stop just W of Leakey on 337...cold beer, food, and gift shop.
Great video! haven't been in the hill country since 1975 when going through ABGD training in the military. Still as gorgeous as ever. A deer blind in a cemetery! God Bless Texas!
Enjoyed the video this week. Went down memory lane September, 2013.. We also stopped in at the Bent Rim Grill. Great burgers for sure. I remember the glass on top of the fortress walls, the open range, cow pies, the whoop-dee-doos, and the twisties. Thanks.
Thank You for your detailed account of the three sisters. I’m a little ashamed I have not been in that part of Texas. I have been riding for over 50 years and I’m a native Texan 🤪 but I’m retired now 😁 so The three sisters is the next ride on the agenda. Love you guys be safe!
Wife and I rode the Sisters this fall for the third time. Please don't miss the chance to stop anywhere the Frio Riverr crosses the road. Beautiful. I was always amazed that many of the ranch houses may be 40 year old trailer house with every vehicle and broke down piece of equipment parked in the yard, but the entrance gate and driveway is always clean and beautiful.
Great video guys !!!! Being from Texas, I've ridden the sisters myself, and they never disappoint. Btw.... fyi Leakey is pronounced Lakey by the locals. Continued safe travels.
Hope you head down to Boca Chica TX to see SpaceX. Rocket Ranch campground is very close, great people and it's gorgeous here! I recently spent several weeks on a friends couch at Center Point TX not far from where you are.
Another great video guys...Love your channel, and l have really enjoyed following your adventures on You Tube. Glad that you are in the Lone Star State again, filming your ride on the "Sisters", and are getting to see the splendor magnificent Hill Country.. One side note......despite the spelling, Leakey is pronounced "LAY KEY"....lol....safe travels....and keep the great videos coming...Mike
You should go to Utopia where's the movie 7 Days in Utopia was made with Robert Duvall and Lucas Black pretty neat and the golf course is right outside of town
Gotta admit I’m a little bit envious. My wife and I spent several months exploring the hill country on motorcycle. I was contracting at Ft Hood so every weekend we rode and seemed to always have new friends to ride with. My wife was sad when we left for home in North Alabama. We’ll always love the Hill Country of Texas!
When I went to ride the 3 sisters last Summer, I chose to start on the west and work east.. I missed the right turn and took the next road west.. So, I rode the 3 sisters, and the 1 step-sister, LOL!
It looks like you are using a 360 camera, but I don't see it listed in your camera gear. Are you using one? I gotta get out to take that ride. Maybe once I fully recover.
I have been looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint!! I live close enough to The Sisters to be able to ride them at least once a year! Thanks for taking us along with you!
I been riding those roads since i bought my first motorcycle. A 1973 Honda CB360T. I still ride them about twice a year and many others. BTW FYI all Ranch Roads in Kerr county are paved.
Bridges and back roads are being rebuilt in areas of Texas. The light is needed to allow the one lane section. Beautiful ride! There are open range roads in my area of Texas, too. You went through Lake-ee. 😉 I’m glad the weather was good!
Road the 3 sister back in September....got a speeding ticket in leaky but was one he'll of a ride I'll be going back FYI that section on 335 has been like that for 2 years lol you use to not be able to make the loop
Ive been to Hondo TX. I think it's either near to or actually in the hill country. I had some relatives that lived in Luling TX and they had a deer camp near Hondo. B safe out there.
Part of what made your channel unique, I think what is the interaction with your living quarters, and now it seems if you cut that out, please think about adding some of it back in, people wanna see what it’s like living on the road, and when you cut that part out somethings missing, just my two cents
Question: Now that you have the camper, have you put thought into NOT being able to find spots to camp this summer? My friends have already reserved the entire summer. Just curious if it has been a thought.
Was there in 2020. Before that was 1977. I was stationed at Fort Hood. It’s a great ride. I’ve been n most roads in that area. From Indiana. Ride safe What mpg do you get in the truck?

Y'all really need to go in spring time in Texas to see all the beautiful wild flowers.
Yes love the blue bonnets and Indian paint bushes
used to ride 337 years ago on bicycle. Great ride!

Most People are so nice.
Rode from Huntsville, AL to the BMWMOA Getaway at Kerrville last October. Bent Rim cafe was very nice. Three Sisters was enjoyable ride.
Leakey local here. Glad to have you. Ike is a great guy, a little talkative but really a great person. Come back anytime.
Thanks for the video! 💯 I wish could go to it but I have two Doctor appointment coming up!
Great video. Beautiful weather winding twisting roads, what more can a motorcyclist dream of.
Great video I live here in Texas and have been wanting to run my motorcycle over there for a while. I’m going to just have to take off and go.
Perfect touring area and beautifull weather. 👍

Cattle guards on corners? That's crazy! Pucker up when it's raining!
Yes for sure. But I guess it used to be closed. So we’ll take it

While building in Medina county there's no time to ride...but you guys are giving me some great ideas and places to visit in the spring. Thanks!
Glad we can help. The first one we did was not as informative.
Enjoyed the video this week. Went down memory lane September, 2013.. We also stopped in at the Bent Rim Grill. Great burgers for sure. I remember the glass on top of the fortress walls, the open range, cow pies, the whoop-dee-doos, and the twisties. Thanks.

Did the ride in 2004 on ST4S❤
Loved riding the hill country but gotta say that is the most abrasive asphalt I have ever ridden.
I know tires are holding up though
Incredible! God Bless and always Be Safe!

I recently spent several weeks on a friends couch at Center Point TX not far from where you are.
I was down there last summer. Two things I remember about the area: all the exotic game ranches, the dead armadillos on the road.
Yes and really tall fences
amazing as always. thank you for sharing these rides with us.
Looks like a really nice ride. Those cattle guards in the curves would be an issue for sure if you weren't ready.
So so many great roads like this in Texas, weather here in Wyoming is like stepping in a cow patty with church shoes on, sure itching to ride more.
Another great video guys...Love your channel, and l have really enjoyed following your adventures on

Chris’ the GS is 5.3gal and the GSA is 7.9 gal
@@TwoWheelsBigLife Wow almost 8 gallons that's great.
When I was in Canada, I saw signs that said Texas Gate. They were cattle-guards. We had a big laugh about that

I’ll never trade my diesel for a gas truck as long as I’m towing. I’ve had both and the diesel out performs the gasser by far. I’m happy to deal with the DEF issue.
Change over to AMSOIL synthetic high milage synthetic and you can run very extended oil change intervals. We broke in our new truck and then swapped over.

I think I paid $120 last full service. But tires and fluids are all that I’ve ever changed on it and it pulls a 24’ bumper pull tool trailer almost everyday
The wife and I rode the Sisters two summers ago. We really liked the views, the curves and the creatures. Good to see some familiar places.
