It's so heartwarming that this community was his caring family and how much he cared for his community!!! We should learn from this humanity...pure Joy. Yes, he's at peace, reunited with his birth family...service was today...obit on line.
I wish we could wind everything back and go back to simpler times when people weren’t too busy to look out for each other! Eddie, you will be missed! RIP! ❤
Another great story from your voyage across Texas. I was heartbroken to see you are retiring and for one who doesn't even live in your state, I vote against it.
I remember Eddie back in the day. I lived just outside of Moore & remember his family on Saturdays sitting in front of Loggins & Lillies with their wagon in the back. My friends & I rode motorcycles & I remember Eddie would always be fascinated about them. He would park his bicycle by our motorcycles & join us, being part of the gang where ever we were in Devine. Eddie was a wonderful & kind person & will be missed by me & everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, my friend. Jesse James Ferguson
What a great man. This country could surely use some more Eddies. ❤️♥️🙏🙏✝️✝️ I’ve been in Devine Texas once back in the early eighties it was a nice friendly little town. I wasn’t there long just passing through unfortunately I didn’t meet Eddy. 😪
hey y'all i remember eddie when DON BRADLEY and JACK BRADLEY and DON BRADLEY'S boys worked down at the exxon station in devine eddie would check the exxon doors at night and would always come by and say hello or chat about this and that eddie loved devine and he knew everybody by name and if he gave you a nickname but he will be missed and talk about eddie and keeping an eye on the town!!!!!!!!!! You are truly correct if we all had just the a tenth of the heart of him we’d be truly blessed

It's a story ... that needs to be told. More people will take an interest in their towns like that. Great story.
What a great story and how wonderful that the whole town seems to truly appreciate the simple but valuable thing he has been doing.
