I love that this isn't even an inefficient playstyle, you still beat her in 5 minutes lmao. i adore how this game lets you develop different playstyles with such simple mechanics
To be fair this would be a super inefficient playstyle on other bosses imo, it's just that Eigong is constantly attacking, so you're /always/ parrying and thus always dealing internal damage. Obviously for some bosses this is just out of the question (Goumang for example) but I think with Yanlao's machine or Ji this would be more difficult (although with Fuxi or maybe Lady Ethereal it'd be a fantastic strategy.)
@@ДенисИванов-э9у Yeah, but precise parrying Ji's blades doesn't deal internal damage to him. I tried using a build focused around the jade that transfers your internal damage to the enemy when you get a successful unbounded counter and even using unbounded counter on as many blades as I could, it never transferred to Ji unless it was him specifically who was doing the attack.
This is almost exactly how I beat Eigong. It may even be intended, because every time I beat her with this strat, the music lines up almost perfectly with her transition into the second phase. This is definitely how Yi would fight in the true ending as well, after talking to Lear and learning to embrace the Tao. I suspect Red Candle Games may have made a fighting style purposefully stand out to demonstrate Yi's growth as a character, which is honestly extraordinary if it was intended and im not reading way too far into this.
Phase 3 starts The mutations try to take over “No, I must maintain my human form! It’s the law of a souls like, if I keep my human form, the more powerful I am”
If you like mid-air combat, may I suggest Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus? It's definitely not as hard as Nine Sols and unfortunately doesn't have a parry system but its probably the best Metroidvania out there when it comes to mid-air combat.
Great video Ironically (or perhaps intended), I found defeating her without attacking is, in actuality, infinitely safer and more feasible then defeating her with attacking; actively going for openings to attack her always leads me to either untimely parrying/dashing or getting burnt by the fiery trail she left when she dashed backward. As soon as I learnt how to parry all her moves, then gave up attacking and relied only on parry/talisman as the new strat, fighting her transformed from an ugly cat and mouse chase to what it felt like a stylish anime. GREAT BOSS.
I did the exact same. I only attacked when I absolutely knew I could get a few hits in and be safe, otherwise I just completely relied on parrying and dodging. When she stood still long enough, I would get a fully charged Full Control Talisman off which would burst her down at least 1/4 of her health because of the parry Jades. Unfortunately it's a fight you have to be very patient with, as those chances to get a talisman off are few and far between, much less a fully charged Full Control.
it's way funnier to do this wis internal damage transfer and hititng yourself with internal on parries (no divine hand) good job tho, you did it nicely! i applaud you
dude i made up this challenge myself the other week (not claiming credit btw im way after your vid) but its so fun to make an internal dmg build and 1 shot bosses with the talisman
Damn bro I didn’t know you could chain unbounded counters, how did you even do that P.S. I can only imagine how more effective would that playstyle be if you added up those two jades for gaining internal damage over parry and sending it back after unbound counter
The Divine Hand Jade allows you to chain instant unbound counters after a succesfully charged one 😄 That makes it perfect against the flurry attacks, since it deals a ton of internal damage AND is easier to deflect (considering that unbound counters do not have an early deflect penalty)
Congrats on beating the challenge! 🎆 Level 1 Eigong defeat. Trust me, she feels like a raid boss with no upgrades or abiliites 🥲 drive.google.com/file/d/1LeCQvmoaHBGj1jlo4pYU7qnOMOZwJ19Q/view?usp=drive_link
Eigong: Why don't you die!
Yi: Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?
You can’t hurt me Eigong, nano machine son
Please tell me where you noticed this, I looked everywhere😢 but I couldn’t find such information anywhere.

Fitting

True Sekiro posture mode, basically
and still have improment that you can use enhanced parry against "every" blockable attack to deal more damage

Egoist grindset
Unironically, properly utilized human form is OP, deviation just introduces weaknesses that can be exploited.
I love parrying in the final phase, because if she uses the right moves you just end up flying for a good 15 seconds

love how yi's design makes him look like hes wearing some sick kicks

The amount of disrespect after placing one single talisman to Eigon's forehead and this dude just remains unfazed, knowing she won't land the next hit
I imagine her looking at the talisman on her forehead then looking at Yi and saying : « You little bit- »
That third phase finish was incredibly cool. The hedgehog, divine hand build goes crazy.
We are the Nine Sols that we made along the way.
Just beat her today, when i finished that phase 3 i felt like i had just beaten isshin, fucking increible fr fr...
FOR REAL MAN, Eigong literally feels like Female (and cat) Isshin
And we don't even talk about silent Sekiro with Yi
1:25 This synchronization with music is just amazing!
He has mastered the art of parrying
The amount of patience this man has is outstanding.

genuinely never occurred to me how much you can do without ever actually attacking
damn, such a fun build. I would also recommend buffering the unbound counter for the second hit on all her two hit combos for even more damage.

Nope. This is canon.

with "qi swipe jade" you would even deal way more internal damage!

God damn that's impressive
How do you unblock counter so fast in rapid succession
There's a jade called Divine Jade, which allows you to chain multiple unbound counters after a sucessfully charged one
How are your parries dealing so much damage with the jade? Mine does miniscule damage.
