This is the first video John's ever uploaded where I actually feel stressed. Every single time he made a noise or got the time limit popping up, I legitimately started freaking out myself. RE7 is really a gem compared to most other horror games last year. And as always John is killing it by not overdoing the reactions and being a real person instead of just a personality for views.
resident evil 7 is a great game, but there were some great ones released last year. so glad that it returned to horror form. and I agree thats why I love watching him, he's always calm and has a dead pan delivery so we know when he gets scared its real and funny as fuck
It's definitely canon, it's actually really awesome to see how much they used Clancy's character before killing him, and that he was used to the fullest extent and not just a character in the game for 5 minutes and never seen or heard from again.
I really like the idea of a game solely based around escaping/screwing-around a room, solving puzzles while trying not to arose the suspicion of your kidnapper.

John, you missed the note (written by marg) hidden in the hanged jacket. It says there how Zoe keeps hiding knives behind cabinets. That explains how you found a knife behind that drawer

Poor Clancy can't catch a break, can he? He just keeps getting caught. Also I think the lip sync is off because it's a Japanese game. Usually on big budget dubs they actually re-animate the lips to match for the US version but maybe they didn't for the DLC.
I don't know why but I just feel really sad for Maguarite! Even before I watch the DLC I still feel sorry for her that I had to watch her voice actor's interview just to remind that she's not a real person and that I shouldn't feel too sorry for her lol

The goal was to escape the family. In the best case, Marguerite would've thrown you in a jail with a much sturdier lock. So I assume it was now or never, pretty much.
Seriously. He could've just dumped the contents of the pot under the bed or something, surely. I've had to do the same thing with in-laws! Only with less being cuffed to a bed and room puzzles.
So in this DLC, some event will trigger Marguerite to have a fight with Jack ("are you still fawning over that boy") after which she freaks out at Clancy ("all your fault") and stabs him quite a few times. The screen then fades to black and you reset just like after she spews bugs at you. I can't recall exactly how I got there. It was during my first attempt so I think she freaked out at the open drawer and then it happened..? not sure. Does anyone know?
U can tell that hes running a good show rather than playing for 1st time but simply noticing his attemp to put the spoon for the first time while actually he said “i can still do it” But video is nice 👍, thats a Like from me
I notice he didn't open the drawer on the right... it gets stuck... and other things give it away hes done this level before but thanks for video it did help lol
Its funny how Nightmare could have been easily placed in the full game under Mercenaries Mode after beating the game but its behind a pay wall, to help sell this(bedroom) and EMD mode and EMD isn't even worth the price as that also could have been in the full game since its mainly one hit kill mode.
Why would they do that? There's no reason to put different modes in the main game. All that should be in the main game is the 'story'. This is a perfectly acceptable DLC. There's a free one coming out soon anyway.
Nightmare, Bedroom and Ethan Must Die (EMD) are part of Banned Footage VOl 1 for $9.99. - So a difficulty that is normally unlocked in older DMC games should be DLC for a RE, Ethan Must Die Mode = Dante Must Die Mode. Also that is the main story just harder than Madhouse. - Mercenary Mode that has been featured part of almost every RE title and probably every Dino Crisis title is DLC worthy even though you would get this mode after beating those game, Nightmare Tape. - Bedroom could have be part of Banned Footage Vol 2 ($14.99) labelled as Banned Footage as those are extras to the game that are not normally in their games. - The "Not a Hero" DLC is probably the other half of the main story that they cut out so you have to wait for it, like must annoying Episodic Games. Hell at least they are not charging for it like they did in Asura's Wrath. Summary - Basically the $9.99 DLC Banned Footage Vol 1 is giving you features that have been featured in older Capcom Games in main title on release with one extra that could have been part of the Banned Footage Vol 2.

Certain aspects of this sort of reminded me of Stephen King's Misery.

you missed the note in the pocket of the jacket located in the locked room. the note basically gives you hints on how to find the knife.
