You know what's really depressing though?
Realising that the monsters aren't stronger. It's just that now Ethan is basically a real person.

1). Boxes with double tapes or more tapes are safe. Boxes with single tapes are bombs. (OR LISTEN if the bomb is ticking inside them.)
2). Its best to plan the route in advance.
3). Its best to ignore the molded and run for it when its not necessary to kill them. (circle them around obstructions & run)
4). Close the doors behind you.
5). Use wire traps against enemies.
6). Some wire traps can only be see when looked at from particular angle. (explore)
7). If possible don't take damage from molded. (save med kits for final boss)
8). Conserve ammo use knife to open boxes.
9). Use turrets against enemies.
10). Go around pressure plates & lure enemies onto them.
11). Don't stand in from of turret. Standing at side of it is safe.
12). Albert uses handgun ammo.
13). Double barrel shotgun is strong & effective than regular shotgun.
14). Crouch behind obstruction when against vomiting molded.
15). Boxes & items in it are random but enemy spawning point is fixed. (some only spawn after doing certain actions)
16). Camp near a turret during final boss fight.

When people thought the name of this DLC was a spoiler, I didn't say anything since I wanted to let the potential spoilers die. But I figured it'd be something like this, since the hardest difficulty in Devil May Cry games is called "Dante Must Die" and they're both made by Capcom. I do love the title card, though. Reminds me of House of the Dead.
Those statues are your "saved progress". Wherever you died, you'll see a statue. It holds everything you had when you died. Break it & you'll get all those items. Please like so he can see! I'd love to see if he could actually beat this! :)
I just streamed it for 3 hours. You only get one random item when you break the statue, sadly.

initially i thought we would play as the bad guys and have to hunt out for ethan. would be cool if we get to see what ethan looks like.
hanum you actually see what ethan looks like if you've really paid attention to the main game.

...how? First of all, its in first person. So thats like saying you can look at your own face, ya know, through eyeballs that are inside that face. So... the math aint mathing.
But, biological impossibilities aside. I dont wanna seem like im doubting you or nothing..
..but. i do have another pesky little observation. Its just, people literally extracted the character model to look at his face, and there's nothing there. They didn't model a face, its blank. So, I mean.. you must have paid attention REALLY hard. You were paying attention so hard the game must have got self conscious, modeled new assets, and modified its own code.

The 1HKOs are definitely way too much. This game kind of requires rooms to adjust if you get hit, especially since enemy movement patterns aren't the same every time(although getting killed by the same molded that spawns on the stairway is pretty funny).
Dunno if this was already covered, or if you've seen all the tips in the load screen but every time you die there is an angel statue at your last death location, break it and you get a random item from your last run. Also, remember to close doors, because some doors stay open long enough for enemies to follow you through!

I like this mode it challenges you and the random items makes it new almost every run but it's damn hard

I like the variety that came with this dlc. I think it would probably be even better if it came with the game itself, kind of like how witcher 3 is packed with variety already upon buying it. but whatev gg.
If you go to the place where you died you can grab one of your items from the run before (at random), I think that's what the safe was for.

There's a game that just came out on PS4 called "Vaccine" that is basically this, but plays like the OG Resident Evil games. I think it's on PC also.

I'd make these DLCs unlockable. Back in the day, you weren't allowed to play Separate Ways, 4th Survivor, Extreme battle etc. just because you've had money. You want to access the extras, bitch? Sure thing, finish the game twice on the hardest difficulty.
