This recipe is my go to now! I *love* it, but I’m considering milling grains at home starting with Einkorn. Do you think this would work just as well? I’m not a very advanced baker, so I’m not sure if it’s worth buying all those gadgets. I guess I’ll try and let you know!
Nice. :) I make bread, but I have my own way making them. I use just a tiny bit of baking soda, instead of yeast. Sometimes I just add minced garlic to the mix, sometimes cheese, sometimes I add cheese, chopped pepperoni, pasta sauce and Italian seasoning, sometimes some salsa, so basically the result is a pizza, but in a bread form. I also make the dough more wet, and I make flat bread, like 1/2 inch ones. Since I want crunchy bread, not soft one, I don't have to bother waiting for the dough either. I just do the mixing, I'm done with it in 6 minutes, and put it in the oven. I flip it upside down when it's time, so both sides are getting baked nicely. Also, sometimes I make it in a frying pan. Can be done, just make sure you don't burn it. In a frying pan it's only about 7+5 minutes, depending the thickness of the bread dough. Almost like making a pancake. I make cookies the same way, I just mix the usual cookie/cake ingredients, be creative and the results are always between pretty good and amazing. 🙂
@@dianadougherty1082 It's pretty good, just don't use much, and make sure you don't add too much salt to it, if you use baking soda, as the baking soda itself is very salty. 🙂 + Invest in an air fryer. It's a game changer for 70 bucks or so. We got a Ninja Airfryer and I use it every day. it's great for making flat bread, brownies and pizza. 🙂
Good job on the bread making presentation. Good use of the camera shots and graphics. I believe you covered some of the important nuances of bread making for those new to the world of bread making, ie: like yeast info. The ending got a bit wordy but it fits the personality. It can be diffcult to contain excitement. My only recommendation: slice the bread to show how it appears on the inside. Possibly, show how it holds up with a live action butter and/or jam spreading. Overall, I would recommend this video to others.
Made 1 loaf today by splitting the recipe, it was so soft & delicious best bread ever! Cooked it for 45m instead of 30 lol Now i need to figure out how to make sourdough correctly!
I have your recipe just wondering if you can use different kinds of flour like sweet potato flour? Also for the sugar I have date sugar, would that work as well? I try to use Organic non gmo ingredients and now trying to stay away from refined sugars so I just wondered what brands and kinds of ingredients are you using?
@@GubbaHomestead for those who don’t have farms are they still able to buy organic food? Obviously not by going to the shops but I mean do any farmers sell their stuff to others?
I can see the anticipation in Gubba's eyes and her taste buds craving. I'm betting she sliced it up right after this video, smeared on the butter and chowed down. 😂
Wonderful video on one of life's finest pleasure's, fresh baked bread! My family gathers in the kitchen and we finish off a 2lb load in 15 minutes! Just bread and butter. 😋
I’m just in the rising in bread pans stage and just like yours one is rising more than the other! I even weighed them, so they started the same weight. So funny how this happens! Can’t wait to put them in the oven! Yay!!
Hi, you mentioned that you use yeast and therefore do not need a sourdough starter. I wanted to know what the measurement for sourdough starter would be in place of the yeast? I have sourdough starter but not yeast.
I just want to cry and hug you Bubba finally I found a Lady that loves to talk about the truth and the things are happening in this planet my family think that I’m crazy because I been talking about this ✈️ and this 🌎 I just don’t want to give up God bless you 🤗🙏❤️
How long do you let it rise for in the oven? I'm sure it varies, but are we talking 30 minutes? 2 hours? I added the 6 cups of flour, about a cup at a time, but it was still so damp/sticky. I think I ended up adding 7 maybe 7 and a half cups flour, and it was still sticking to my hands.... So i skipped the part of pulling it out the mixing bowl and forming into a ball and putting back in the bowl. I just left it in the bowl and used a spoonula to form it a bit. Because i had to add so much extra flour, it seemed to make more than yours... not sure if that's a good thing. I do live in a very humid state and I am guessing that has to do with needing more flour, it just seemed like A LOT more flour!
I have not bought a loaf of bread yet this year. Sugar is one reason. Thank you so much for putting this out. Store bought, too many weird ingredients.

You have to have a warm slice with butter, that is the best part about making bread.
Oh yes!

All the toast in the world 😋
Have you researched using healthier flour? Such as einkorn. Interested in your thoughts on this subject.

YUM, the best
I'm currently following your recipe, just about to place the loaves in the oven 😊
Can you put anything instead of sugar?
Love it!! 🍞Thank you for the video 🫶🏻
Thank you, and AP is readily available in my area. Excellent camera
Thanks a lot! Amazing recipe and video. One question, white flour and sugar aren’t recommended, right? Or is that okay? As white flour isn’t healthy?
Can this be made in a breadmaker? Thanks for sharing the recipe
I don't know if my bread is rising very well for the second rise. What happens if it doesn't go above thr rim?
TH-cam award for most adorable TH-camr goes to Gubba 😃👏
I did it Gubba…I made bread!!!! The whole family was rejoicing!
Now, can you show us how to make macarons next please??
MAKE OUR OWN BREAD...YES!
Way to go Gubba! Now I’ve gotta go make some bread! I blame you! 🤣 🤣
Thx so much! You’re great! Inspirational!

🤣"Funky stuff."😂Hi Gubba, how did you and the bees to for honey this season?
The bees are doing good! Only one hive struggled and I'll be pulling honey from them soon. I'm sure I'll do a vlog on it. Thanks for asking!
@@GubbaHomestead Cool, look forward to seeing it.
Does this bread freeze super easy? Do you only put in a zip lock bag or wrap it somehow?
It never lasts long enough lol Yes, you could freeze it after a day or two to help it last longer. Perfect for toast

Is your flour from the store ?

Fan request, ur upbringing and how this all came to be in the “homestead life” 🙏
Keep on going ❤
Could this be done without a mixer?
How did the mixer fall off the counter?😳 genuinely curious
Isn't all purpose flour not that good for you? Asking out of curiousity. Do you have like a whole wheat or whole grain recipe?
Sooo many benefits of making your own bread…saving time is not one of those benefits 😂
