This guy has had every car I've wanted to get since I got my drivers licence a few years ago. First with Audi TT, then I bought a 1series partly because of him and now I'm looking to buy an E350 coupe and guess what, this guy had it three years ago. Wild.

Mat, well done for doing the car up. I use to do this when I was younger on my Ford Mondeo Mark 3 it's great learning curve into self car mechanics.

Yo man thanks! Alloys are from a C63 they are 8.5j front 9.5j rear with no spacers i love them! Yeah lowering the car wasn't to hard just make sure you have a good spring compressor!
@@MatArmstrongbmx Thanks for reply Mat. Cool that's the size to get then, ta. Next week doing the lowering with H&R springs, paint the front grill, wrap the chrome edging&boot, then tint the headlights and rear with 'Fly Eye' to legally darken. Seriously black.

You don’t need to change the oil so often with diesels..you can double the mileage of gas engines, you’re throwing away good oil

They are decent cars. I sat in one and it has a great amount of power. Please just don't drive like the minority of C or E class owners who drive with no respect for others.
I want this car pretty bad lol. Currently there are offers to buy it for about 12500 EUR (a bit short of 11k pounds), mind you that is with fuller packages, but diesel engines. Good deal? For me it looks like they are going to retain their value pretty well, such a classic car when you really look at how it was built.

Comparing this to a E250 which would be better? I Just sold my A4 B8 3.0TDI V6 and looking into getting a E class but stuck between two worlds in choosing a E250 or E350, id appreciate any suggestions
The E250 (2.2tdi) cdi its Biturbo and also a new engine from MB from what I know, and the timing chain is mounted to the back of the engine what can be quite expensive to do anything on this engine, practically you need to take out the hole engine to do something on it. Just my opinion I rather choose the E350 (3.0tdi) than the E250... smaller amounts of running cost I think (because this engine is old, and it's proofed to be reliable) and the most important it gives you much more fun! :)
Don't bother get another Audi don't buy a BMW they blow up at 100k

Unless you picked up a C30 CDI AMG you didn't pick up an AMG

You are lucky, I’ve got an E500 Coupe and it’s cost me a shagging fortune in repairs over the 4 years I’ve owned it. Love the care but expensive when things go wrong. I’ve replaced head gasket seals oil sump seals, radiator, roof retracting blind, drive shaft bearings, alternator, the list goes on............

After owning couple of V8 German cars, also couple of V6s, I can say that from my experience, the V8s are sooo expensive to maintain, however, the V6s are very reliable and easy to keep running, I’ve been driving a beautiful E350 for a year now and didn’t have to spend a dime besides the regular service.
Hold on, is it the same gen? I thought all these issues were more common on w211

How much have you spent on repairs? And how much milleage your car has? Sorry to bother im just looking to buy one
@@thrillsbreh The car only had 50,000km so not really that much. I spent >$15,000 USD in repairs over the 4 years I owned the car. Admittedly European cars are expensive to maintain here in HK where I live, but the point I’m making is about the reliability and amount of repairs, not so much about the cost. Great car though, loved owning and driving it, a lot of fun.
How reliable is this car ?
I've been in a e350 cdi saloon and I'm a fan of this engine but i wanted to hear about mpg
On short journeys I averaged about 28mpg and long journeys I could get about 40mpg

I've the e350 AMG premium bluetec 2016 and the 19 inch AMG alloys are shocking !
These have buckled or broken £735 for 1 to replace from MB!
The parking break kept sticking and wouldn't release without putting your foot behind it n lifting it .MB wanted nearly £800 to replace it when all it wanted was a massive dose of WD40 on the spring mechanism and some manipulation.Make sure you get the automatic gear box oil changed at 50k miles £350.
Make sure you get some good quality tyres or the back end gets squirrelly in corners on roundabouts n junctions at least £170 a tyre on back axle.
Don't over fill the bluetec if it says low 15litre should do it max .if overfilled it throws a wobbler !!
O by the way you cannot read how much is left in the bluetec tank ,very clever NOT .no sight glass on tank or reading on dash 😂
I get 29mpg knocking around and had as good as 48/50mpg on motorway.
Unusual choice for a 24 Yr old. They are starting to appeal to me....but I'm retired, haha. I'd love a 350 saloon.

I prefer bms mostly but for coupe , between e92 and e class coupe I prefer the e class I’ve drove a 320d loved it only brought it because of the console in the middle at the back

Hey man, thanks for the videos. I'm considering a V6 E class coupe, but I was leaning towards the petrol engine. Have you got any information whether to go with diesel or petrol engine? P.s. not really worried about additional fuel consumption.. Thanks

1) How does the painted front grill look after some time?
2) Are you actually allowed in the UK by law to tint the front windows by 55%? I really love the way it looks, but wasn't sure if that's not a problem?
Yo man my Gf's dad had the petrol v6 but a 15 plate. He loved it.. super reliable and runs so good i deffo would have brought the petrol version if id realised what mpg i would of got with my diesel there really isn't that much of a difference.

You didn't mention one of the most expensive things about owning this car, rear tyres!
The car goes through them quite quickly.
Also you need to adjust the audio on your uploads, could barely hear you on the incar segments as your mic was quiet and the music loud.

You've been lucky man....at 77500miles you need the gearbox oil changed. £700. Then one of the NOX sensors went and it was another £700

Awful, video about ownership costs, no mention of fuel economy, just how much a spoiler cost and some springs nobody needs
Fuel economy averages from 26mpg to 33mpg depending on driving type spoiler was £80 from ebay 👍

You are lucky you have an E350 with no panoramic roof. Looks so much better. In the USA they all have the glass roofs which sucks.
Yeah there are a few in the UK with glass roof but i prefer without!
