Mr Phil, I have just one thing to say to you. DO NOT CHANGE! Stay exactly who you are, the way you are. It's the reason we all love you and your channel. I will never tire of your commentary. Keep up the beautiful work. But don't change a thing. We love you just the way you are.

One of the reasons I wait with baited breath each week for your videos is your commentary. That is what got me started. I never get tired of repeated comments. Once again you let the wood show us it’s best side.

One of the things I find most delightful about people I know well is when they do or say something that is SO who they are, it makes me smile. Your repeated phrases give me that same, comfortable, easy feeling. It doesn’t matter that I know very little else about you. Those repeated phrases make you seem like an old friend. I have a few favorites (Commence to removing this tennon, Left hand on the switch right hand on the gouge, As soon as I get my mask on). Familiar is good. Then when you throw in “it’s sanding sealer, DUH,” I laugh out loud. If you change your presentation I’d miss those things, but you do you, and if you’re bored with yourself, we’ll adapt. 🥰 Thanks for your terrific content every week!

Well, yesterday I received a monetary award at work and when I get them I always try and pay them forward. I divided by three and gave $15 bucks to each of my favorite channels. Thanks for your wonderful channel, I enjoy watching all your videos and I have learned a lot from your work. As I am sure you know all too well, the internet can be a tough crowd and its nice to be able to have a place to go and watch something without it being about competition or one upping someone else. thanks again Phil, enjoy.@@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop

PLEASE continue to talk us through what you are doing!! Sure, I've seen and heard it before, but reminding is always helpful. When I first started watching your videos, I was wintering in Yuma, Arizona, so I didn't have my wood lathe with me. So when I got home, I watched more and could go right to my lathe and practice! Also, there will be some new viewers, and they would need to listen, watch, and learn from you. We "older" viewers can still learn! A side note: I have discovered that with shellac, you can add an additional coat, and the shellac will fuse with the former coat, and not just add a new coat on top of the old. That's why you can keep your brushes for so long--the shellac just softens the old shellac on the brush, and it all blends together. And be assured that I do like the shape that you made. It is beautiful wood, and a beautiful bowl, as well!😊

Hey Phil, so glad that you eventually came 'round to liking this piece. It looked for a moment as if you were going to be sad and disappointed with something that is actually quite nice. :-). The slightly unusual color and the dark spots on the wood make it visually interesting.
It will be interesting to read other people's comments about going over many of the same steps in each turning. To long-time viewers, the repetition might be dull, but to new viewers, the information could still be valuable.
In any case, thank you for another fun video and thanks to Tuffy for sending the wood.
    P. S. The notion of celebrating your birthday by giving something to someone else, (as Tuffy seems to have done), sounds intriguing.

I turn a lot of wood of unknown origin, I am always pleases with the results. I too have to change my horse in the middle of the stream to get my results To begin with, it not looking like the results you were expecting and expressing how disappointed with the looks you were going for, all your changes worked, I would show it off to everyone the result was a beautiful bowl. I would always keep on explaing what you are doing and not should not bore anyone. We all need a reminder once in a while. If you feel you are too good to be reminded, you might miss some of Phils valuable teachings. He tells us HOW, WHERE, AND WHEN he accomplishes to get the professional look out of all his turnings. This is why I tune into your channel every week. KEEP ON TURNING 😋

Hi Phil, I love that style of bowl. I have made quite a few like that, it's beautiful and well done! Please don't change anything about your videos. The tenant removal is genius, you taught me that! It takes a bit of practice but it's simpler and there is less chance of damage to the piece than with a chisel and mallet. As for your commentary.... please continue with them, its like woodturning gospel to me.

i love all the little dark spots and fissures and the chocolate bark really sets off the lighter wood
