Man, that’s a gorgeous piece of wood, Phil. I really like the fact that you did it without making the blank a perfect cube. You’ve made me think about doing another one. I remember it being a fun turning. Wow, I remembered something! Who would have expected that? LOL! Thanks Phil. 😃😃 Happy turning, .....Gord
Thank you very much, Gord! I find it easy to remember stuff I did years ago. It's yesterday or five minutes ago that I have a problem with! Maybe it's the Cheezies? LOL! Take care, my friend! Phil
Hello Phil, I just want to let you know that I feel you are my teacher & inspiration. I started turning live & natural edge bowls after watching your UTube videos.. It was a little expensive getting all the necessary gear. The good news is everything I turn is free wood! It seems the uglier the wood I start with the better the bowls turnout. Thank you, for your teriffic video & especially you na rration & explanation as you proceed with each turning. I tend to give away all my bowls, My home would be full if I kept them. They seem to make the people happy that receive them. I a lways give you credit for inspiring me. I am 73, I am guessing you are about the same age. I am also single now. I have always been a wood worker but never a wood tuner. Keep healthy and keep turning. Your friend, Don.
I've watched dozens of turkey call turning videos because wanting to make pot calls is what got me interested in wood turning. You sir, do things that I never imagined or thought possible. Thanks again.
Absolutely love it. Love the way you talk through the video. I don't care for the video's where they play music. I like to hear the process. Need to try one of these someday.
Thank you Rod May for sending that gorgeous piece of wood to Phil, my favorite wood turner, who also is blessed with such an enjoyable and real personality.
Phil, I love your work, your videos and your informative walk-throughs. One thought on the tri-corner bowls... it may have been safer to cut and flatten off the two points before mounting, allowing for more secure anchoring with a spur center since you are creating a tenon on one point and removing the center on the other point.
So nice of you, David! Not fearless but not afraid to try something different, either. This is my second one of these. They are easier to turn then they might look and lots of fun. It's kind of like magic the way it turns from a cube to a tri-corner. Still fascinates me. 😊
Holding the blank between corners is here the main idea , never would it have come into my mind as a woodturner , with Phil there is no end to inventivity..
You did justice to a beautiful piece of wood. I have done 2 tri corner bowls. Started with a 6” cube and ended up with a shallow dish. You have shown me that a larger piece to start will get a nice deep bowl. Thanks for the tip.
Hi Phil....really lovely job on this bowl... I would not have thought about doing that...I bet you had to watch your knuckles when hollowing and finishing...great video...take care...All the best.....Andy
Really nicepiece of wood and it really shows its colour and grain of it beautiful. The trio Corner bowl is ace I really love this it's a masterpiece Amanda from Scotland xx

Well I'm much too late to shout out any instructions but I did vote to leave the ridges 😁... gorgeous bowl Phil, I truly enjoy how you let the wood decide how to shape itself and I'm able to catch up while getting my hair done 😄... Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed this one
Always a challenge. Always a beautiful work of art. And unlike other turners, always funny and entertaining. Thanks for checking with us before you make a move (like sanding the edges here). Although you didn't listen to me, I appreciate you asking. I laugh everything you do this!
I'm please to know you are so engaged, Steve. Sorry I couldn't hear you this time, must have been a little noisy in the shop that day. LOL! Thank you so much for your great comment!
Its so interesting to see how you approach each piece you make and how you handle any surprises that may arise. Thanks again for sharing. See ya in the next one.
I can't ask for a more meaningful comment, thank you! That's how I learned to turn, as well. I've watched hundreds of hours of woodturners. More to come, Mill Guy!
Nice one Phil, an enjoyable watch over breakfast. Many thanks and thanks also to Ron for the super specimen of Acasia too. Hope you are all staying safe. Regards from the 8x6 here in the UK ☺

It's a fun project, Dave. Just take your time. The end result will be your reward! 😊

So nice of you, David! Not fearless but not afraid to try something different, either. This is my second one of these. They are easier to turn then they might look and lots of fun. It's kind of like magic the way it turns from a cube to a tri-corner. Still fascinates me. 😊
