Hi there Phil yes I’ve got to say I love everything about this piece. It’s such a pretty shape and the grain is gorgeous and what you’ve done is just fantastic. It’s got everything going for it. It’s a thing of beauty for sure.
Once again you have knocked it out of the park. Well done excellent work on a beautiful piece of wood. You're a pleasure to watch no, no jumping around or showy display, your work and wood say it all. Excellent even my wife appreciates your pieces.
I learned so much from you fail I have been watching you for over a year and a half I have a graciously light I am 70 years old and I have been turning for over a year I’ve been turning bowls and vases but your work is just plum beautiful I can’t waitTo see what you come up with next
I just found your channel the other night. Am up a lot at night because of pain and I am so enjoying you. Very hypnotic and therapeutic. Beautiful objects. It's amazing to me that you see these beautiful objects in the making out of quite frankly ugly pieces of wood. What an amazing gift. Thankyou for sharing
You have an excellent eye for wood and allow the shape to transform gradually in phases that express a dynamic beauty. There is considerable variety from one area to others in any direction. That holds the attention. The piece holds the eye and fascinates the mind. Excellent!
Hi Phil, that is an absolutely gorgeous piece. We are blessed as a race to have such a talented wood worker amongst us. And your love for sharing is wonderful. Thanks so much
Stunning piece! Every angle can be the front of this piece. There just isn't a less interesting side. The interior grain and coloration is beautiful. 👍👍👍
I enjoyed watching this with my (almost) 3 year old grandson. I live with three grandsons, who are all interested in woodturning videos. A new generation of turners, perhaps?
Hi Phil... that bark is just amazing... you really made a great job of turning it... the shape and finish are spot on... take care...All the best.....Andy
Hi Phil, What is there not to love about this bowl. It is just amazing. Acacia is a wood I have never turned. Great work as always Phil. Take care buddy. Cheers, Huw
Glad you enjoyed it, Huw! Dennis just contacted me and said it is White Oak. It doesn't look at all like the White Oak lumber I have here but maybe there are different varieties. In any event, I'm glad you like it and I do, too! Good health to you, my friend!
Thanks Phil for another good video. I would have never thought about mounting the whole crotch like that. Makes a very interesting bowl. Love all the grain and bark. The rolled over edges were a good choice. Thanks again for expanding my design choices with another interesting turning. Stay safe and well to keep them coming. Cheers, Tom
Experience teaches most things. And when I started watching a video you did a year ago, you'd guessed the moisture was about 35%. It made me smile when you came back and said that's exactly what it was. Experience teaches! Can tell you've been at this at least a little while! 😊💕
Awesome piece! It reminded me of a piece I turned endgrain from a Hackberry crotch. I left the wings and cut the sides out. Its amazing how many different looks you can get from Similar pieces. Always enjoy your work. Thanks for sharing
Good. One. ❤ it. 😊
Thanks 😊
