- These are my homeschool choices for 2022 - 2023! Today I’m going over our family subjects- Bible, History, Geography, Science, and Enrichment for my 2nd grader, 1st grader, and preschooler. Plus I have 3 babies along for the ride!

Charlotte Mason also wasn’t a mom with 6 kids. I am sure it’s still Charlotte Mason in how you do it ❤️❤️❤️. We focus on the 3 Rs until 3-4th grade. Science is nature study and we use books for history:)
We love laying down the rails! We had the books spiral bound at staples and it’s made it more enjoyable to use. Love seeing all of your family subjects ☺️
Great choices! We love SCM, MasterBooks, and the YWAM books! You have a great line up and plan! Enjoy it! ❤️ I just graduated my oldest of six. She only did MasterBooks/Answers in Genesis for science and she LOVED every thing! We love the SCM history, Bible and Geography and some of my graduate’s favorite living books were from there and the YWAM books. My daughter loved the enrichment so much that when she found out Shakespeare’s Hamlet was just released by Simply Charlotte Mason she asked to do it with us this coming fall ❤️ 😂 It goes so fast. Enjoy simplicity and your time together!
Also, MasterBooks has art, SCM just came out with art videos for the brush set, and NotGrass has bible art that feels like notebooking and it’s easy and probably the most doable to do with your age group. I know others love yellow spot sun too.

I’m working on that video! But I can go ahead and tell you that science was my girls’ favorite subject this year. They wanted to do 2-3 lessons every day. 😂 They learned and retained SO much. I would 100% recommend Masterbooks science. ❤️

What does “reformed” Christian mean?

Basically our authority is the scripture. We hold to a confession that explains what we believe- like a more thorough statement of faith.

They believe in Calvinism. They believe that humans are so totally depraved and unable to accept Jesus Christ's gift of salvation, which goes against the Scriptural teachings of free will. They also believe God has only chosen a predetermined people to save from hell, which also goes against countless scripture where God wants none to perish and offers salvation to all men. Stay away from Calvinism. Sadly it is everywhere on TH-cam.
@@Kiki-fe2le While reformed Christians are Calvinists, you have an incorrect understanding about Calvinism. You can certainly disagree with it if you’d like, but to say it goes against scripture is not accurate. We believe every word of scripture and our hermeneutic is consistent with the scriptures about the gospel being offered to all and regarding man’s responsibility. There’s a great documentary done on the topic called “Calvinist” that is worth watching. Again, disagreeing with it is fine. One can be a Christian and disagree with Calvinism. But be sure you’re accurately understanding it and representing it please. ❤️
