I grew up around those old print industry machines. All were in better shape than your starting point - but I have never seen one "new" like I imagine it to have come from the factory. Thanks a lot.
My absolute favourite restoration is Book Presses! Although I never owned one, I used them years ago in printmaking classes. So simple but so much history. You excelled here. A superb job!
Normally I don't like gold color on machines but this time it went so well with gloss black color. Perfect restoration, thank you. Eline sağlık ustam harika olmuş. Aman sağlığına dikkat et, senin gibi harika işler yapan güzel insanlar lazım bu dünyaya. Kolay gelsin.
You and my mechanics are like the same person! You use the same industrial milling machines, use the same special tools, and both do huge old tools like these!! Great work!!! That old tool looked like it was super difficult to restore!!!! Great work!!!!
They are not the same. MeineMechaniker is from turkey and copies the successful refurbishing videos from MyMechanics. While it is nice that MyMechanics is so inspiring to MeineMechaniker, it's stupid to use that name instead of his real name, and not innovative to copy the style so close. There are other, like Clickspring or MyRepairs, that do much better presenting it their style. And why someone from Turkey uses a german channel name is also irritating.
Quite impressive restoration to better than new. First time I saw one of these it was on the "Three Stooges" and Curly had his head in it and Moe was cranking it down tight. Good to see they have other uses!
Lol, I've used one! I'm an offset press operator in a printshop. It's not used often at all. Just for repair or small edge gluing. It looks nothing like this condition. This is a show piece!
The gold nickel plating upped meine Mechaniker big time. I d say they both up there. Fantastic job! I hope the old man gets to enjoy the better than new press.
@@meinemechaniker my friend, what you do, in comparison to other restoration channels is something special. It's good to see an actual perfect restoration. It's pretty rare on here. Keep up the good work.
That is without a doubt false, this guy is a complete rip off of my mechanics. He copies him completely, to the way he films, and the way he actually restores things. Hell he even copied his name. All while not doing as good as a job as my mechanics when restoring. No doubt that this guys better than the other refurb channels, but that’s only because he’s copying my mechanics and living off his limelight. I’ve never commented anything like this before but it annoys me that I don’t see any comments similar to this.
Cast iron is beautiful, but it seems no one ever 'finishes' is properly. You did a superb job on the book press. A museum piece now. Being a book lover, I might have spent a month or so studying all the intricacies of book binding, a decade or so ago. I do love knowledge. Great job. Brilliant work. I feel I'm watching your videos back to front and should go back to the first to start, now that I've found you... The massive problems of being unable to work anymore with nothing but time, lol.
Really nicely done... I think one of your best yet! Great to see wonderful, elegant old tools given a new lease of life rather than left to rust away... good on you, and compulsive watching!
A finer grit sandpaper will help you out a lot when you are going to have bare metal, it will help you remove the smaller scratches that buffing won't :)
I hope the gentleman that gave this to you is pleased with the results of your beautiful restoration. I’m satisfied he is well pleased. Very well done!
Every single time - utter perfection. Your restorations are beyond incredible. I just can’t ever get enough. I try to hold off on watching the newest ones for a couple of days because I know it’ll be a while until the next one, and just knowing there’s a new video of yours waiting to be watched is awesome in and of itself. Thank you so much for sharing these masterpieces with us.

🤗🤗🤗
I think that this one was your best restoration. A very difficult piece. Well done like always.
thanks
Probably better than when new.
Masterpiece !!! a Cadillac with a golden steering wheel 🤗👏🏻👏🏻 %100 satisfying result. Thanks for sharing🍀
😉
I like the one that MyMechancs did.
I am gobsmacked. I cannot believe that such a horrendous pile of rusty metal could be resurrected into such a gorgeous item. Amazed.
Thank you mate 🙏🏻
It will do good service for another hundred years. Thank you for sharing and saving these treasures.
Book press done right, for the fist time on youtube! Your colleagues-restorers always paint it's press surfaces. Thanks god, you know what is book :)
Best Restoration Channel...
🤗 thanks

Wonderful transformation from a pile of rust to a piece of art. Great choice of colors, black & gold, and a gold medal you deserve.
GREAT JOB, GREAT VIDEO, [ BACK TO WORK ]...
Beautiful result
Thanks dude
Many channels, imitate… But this is the one I always come back to. This one and my mechanics.
I have never owned a press but used one at school and am absolutely in love with book presses! You did a superb job of this beautiful tool. Fantastic!
Thanks sir
Finally, you can press all those books you have piling up. Amazing restoration! My mother runs a publishing Co and loves vintage book presses.
Fantastic finish
👌
This is beyond restoration
Wow! Awesome!
Abi eline sağlık çok güzel oldu örümceklerde seni buluyor
bu sefer spontane 😃
Outstanding! The Badge topped it off.
Бесконечно можно смотреть на ОГОНЬ, ВОДУ и работу этого МАСТЕРА!

Lol I remember seeing these in a few stooges episodes and could never figure out what exactly it was.
The black looks so good, it reminds me of porcelain enamel. Beautiful.
👌
Beautiful
Simply put - amazing skill and result. I imagine this being used in an antique book store.
Beautiful restoration
Absolutely beautiful
👍
The more I watch your videos, the more I'm impressed with your work. Your work outclass most on youtube when it comes to details and perfections!
thank you so much 👍
Another fine restoration from one of TH-cams better resto experts. Damn fine job sir, thank you for sharing.
u got acces to some nice tools and good job!
Brilliant ! This was more educational for me which made up for the disappointment of not watching sandblasting.
Exelent job.... Thanks..!
thanks
Yine harikalar yaratmışsın 👏👏
🤗
The gold on nickel on the handle was a nice touch. Well done.
thanks 🍀
Excellent restoration sir
thanks
My Mechanics has some competition from you, you two do some of the best work in my opinion.
100% the only place My Mechanics is ahead is the quality of his sandblasting shots.
thank you both

You are a really talented machinist, along with a lot of other skills. Very enjoyable to watch. Thanks for saving history!
I visited today a tobacco museum and saw a similar press, very well preserved that was used as a "handheld", table press for tobacco...
Wunderbar.Beter then new.
👍
Those are some mighty pieces of iron!
Your finished projects always look better than original. Great workmanship. Bravo.
Very cool. Nice demonstration at the end.
I have this crazy theory that My Mechanics and Meine Mechaniker are twins, who hate each other for years.
I thought they where related lol 😆
😅
even workshop looks similar 🙂🙂🙂... they are either twins or somone with split personality 🤭🤭🤭 Both very skilled🙂🙂🙂
what does he say when you ask him about me?
@@meinemechaniker never asked him... 🤭 he didn't upload any videos in ages...😭 maybe he gave up on TH-cam?! Hope you are not planning to quit🙂
Muhteşem bir çalışma çok kaliteli ve temiz bir iş 👏👏👏👏
Wonderful restoration!

Amazing work!
Rengin manivela ile olan uyumu muthiş eline sağlık
Absolutely stunning! I have zero need for a book press but that one is so beautiful I'd definitely buy it!
Superb! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Incredible, what a result, a work of art.
Everything that you work on turns into a piece of ART!!!
That is superb! What a piece!

An impeccable job, congratulations

super boulot bravo..................
Restoration looks very easy. It is very difficult. It needs lot of hard work and patience above all dedication
Dude you are wicked with metal! Great job!
Brilliant restoration by a true craftsman. Thank you for sharing !
Thanks sir
What a great job you have done to this Book press. Cheers
Wow the final product looks like an art piece. Absolutely amazing work!
A book press transformed into a masterpiece.
Perfect job !
Beautiful. Shines like a jewel.
Royal class of work. Beautifully restored press :-)))
😃 thanks
I have one of these. Has a beautiful brass turning handle.
Artisan binders still use these presses.
The need for devices like this is urgent. Some might even say.... pressing
👍
That joke fell flat and left you in a bit of a bind.
You should do stand-up comedy. I'd book a place for every show.
Impressive wordplay. Spellbinding. Someone should write that down. Call the presses. That's one for the history books.
What a novel idea.
Wow! I hope you found a bookbinder to sell it to, what a beautiful tool you restored it to be
The more I watch your videos the more I like them. Keep them coming.
