    The badge is a reference to the Fuji Rabbit, a scooter made in the 1960's by Subaru parent company, Fuji heavy Industries.

    If we are directly comparing this EJ207 with an EJ257, the 2.0L has less cylinder distortion under heavy loads due to cylinder thickness. Factory equipped, the head gaskets are of similar quality.

    This is my baby. I got her while living in NZ (second hand import from Japan) and bought her back to Australia. I have had her for 13 years. She is a MY06, Nov 2005. Every mechanic that looks at her says she is fully blown (whatever that means), one who specialised in Subaru said she had be converted to a spec C under the hood??? I don't know. All I know is she is my precious and will never let her go. She is the 2.5ltr 6 speed.

    Flashing fuel light is usually a symptom of a bad or disconnected sending unit in the tank.

    I've owned US 2.5L ,04,05,and two 06's,98,000 on my 06 never any engine issues,the engines all stock except for Killer b oil pan ,pick up and tray,aluminum radiator and engine #4 cylinder cooling mod and K&N drop in air filter with Air oil separator.Most people modify the engine without professional tuning and then have issues.All suspension and brakes upgraded along with all bushings for handling along with coilovers and chassis braces.Fuel light is slow to respond on mine too,the intercooler spray there's 2 types, 1 you have to hold the button in to spray, theJDM you push it in and it sprays non stop until you push again to stop so it's much more convenient for me.93 octane in mine is more powerful because Japanese ecu is tuned for 93 not 91 so i mix 91 and 100 to get 93.In outside air temp of 100-115 it will knock if pushed hard on 91 octane but never on 93,that's been my experience.Had gas tank venting issues,smell of gasoline because of high outside temperature from the time it was new until i changed all the tank venting hoses.

    the 2.0L can be a monster with the timing and high octane Japanese fuel. The bugeye I imported has the 2.0L and it does not like canadian fuel.. had to get it re tuned for 91 octane since 94 is only available at limited petrocanada and shell locations.
    The 2.5 we got in north America had more torque and less timing advance then the ej207

    I hate that the US model had the 2.5 but American's all think "blah blah blah bigger is better" but a lot of us who swap the 207 in love them nothing beats the 8500rpm and how strong the 207 is. It is a lot of why subaru gets a made fun of in the states because they always blow up and it is mainly the 2.5.

    please don`t close the hoods like that...

    • @PacificCoastAuto
      @PacificCoastAuto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are trying to be constructive, then please explain why so that people can learn a thing or two. If you are just eager to tell people that are doing something wrong, I'd rather you not comment.
      For anyone reading this, it's fine to close a hood the way I did, or it's fine to close a hood using the "drop" method. If I were to guess what Alfredo has a problem with, I'd say be careful not to flex the hood when pushing it because you can crack the paint or dent the hood. If you have closed as many hoods as I have, you will know which ones are strong enough to close by pushing down.

      @@alfredomendoza7482 I seething absolutely no problem with him closing the hood by pushing it, dropping the hood is kinda weird to me as it might bend or even scratch paint.

      @@MLGJMoney to all, please refer to your owners manual page 11-5 that states the followin I auote : “1. Lift the hood slightly and remove the hood prop from the slot in the hood and re- turn the prop to its retainer.
      2. Lower the hood until it approaches ap- proximately 12 in (30 cm) from the closed position and let it drop.
      After closing the hood, be sure the hood is securely locked.If this does not close the hood, release it from a slightly higher position. Do not push the hood forcibly to close it. It could deform the metal.”
