I have a 2006 STI that I’ve had for a couple years and every time I think about selling it, I come across videos like this of why so many people love them. Haha.
Had a white 06 years ago. Sold it and regretted it everyday. I honestly cried when I watched it drive off. Took me 2 years and 9 trips around the Midwest to find my WRB 06 STI I have now. So many trips with a truck in trailer to find out it had no compression, was junk or destroyed. Every one I went to look at was $20k plus and said the same thing “ l know what I have, no lowballers, super clean” etc.
Don’t sell it. Be that old man with the cool rally car and boost noises 🤟🏻
Actually bugeye is the first version. 2nd version is blobeye
More importantly, a 360 transformation is nothing at all because it’s a full circle 😅

Have an 06 STI (410hp 72k miles), 12 hatch (wide body FBO) and a 16 WRX (360hp FBO E60 tune). You are so right. The GD is just the absolute greatest Impreza. The rawness, the way it feels, everything. 08 and up they just feel numb and dialed down.
So nice to see young people enthusiastic about this classic WRX STI. Keep up the good work and I wish you many more smiles per mile😊✌️

The fact they didn't realize the bug eye came first and didn't even edit text in the video to correct it was telling. They aren't knowledgeable about cars. That's such basic, famous wrx info
