    I was told by Matt at BTR the RedHot and the Stage 2 V2 cam is exactly the same. They just put a chili pepper on one. They come off the same polisher. I just bought mine a month ago. Still building my engine for a swap.

    How is the drivability on the auto car with stage 2 cam?

      I seen something like that on cleetus... they took a Damm bone stock 5.3 and made like 450rwhp mixing nitro and meth stuff... I was blown away bc I think it made 300rwhp.. don't remember exactly but I was shocked

      @@7000U9ZHIFT where i got the ideal from lol i like it but for a non strickly race car its expensive and at 60% mix 38* timing im stuck at 683 hp 552 tq 7700 rpm fun stuff but pricy , next year we are gonna run it on our trubo 6.0 build

    Did the auto have a torque converter installed?? I Have the same car and cam and was wondering what stall to get?

      @NorthernPerformanceCars  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yessir we did 3,600 circle d in the blue car.
      The converter is the most fun addition that you can make!

    I know the V1 cam was a good cam. Which one do you prefer the V1 or V2?

    • @NorthernPerformanceCars
      @NorthernPerformanceCars  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      V2 is better for sure. More peak power and no loss down low. It is a great camshaft. A lot of trial and error went into it from the btr team.

      @@NorthernPerformanceCarscan you mill the heads with this cam in conjunction with a .041 head gasket?

  • @paisley2342

    So, the v2 and red hot are 2 distict cams, right?

    • @NorthernPerformanceCars
      @NorthernPerformanceCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct. 2 different camshafts. Very similar though.

      @@NorthernPerformanceCarsHow is the low end driveability on the red hot vs the original stage 2? You raved about the old stage 2 cam. Wondering if this version retains the same manners with better power?

    • @NorthernPerformanceCars
      @NorthernPerformanceCars  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@paisley2342 the v2 is better absolutely everywhere.
      I haven’t done an exact comparison with a red hot since everyone else has seemingly.
      I’d expect the same results or so.
      I’ve done a few red hots in gen 3 6.0’s and they were decent. A bit of a generic cam in my opinion.

      @@NorthernPerformanceCars the red hot? Ks generic? What is the recommendation? I am looking for close to 500whp, but don't know if I can mill with this cam, was hoping to get 11:4 on 93.

    FYI you are asking for your cars to slide off the dyno by X-ing the rear straps.
    You should not X the rear straps unless you are adding them to a pair of straps going straight back from the car to the floor anchors.
    Straps going straight back will be the shortest length possible on each side. If one lets go for whatever reason, the remaining strap will only let the car slide to one side or the other a limited amount.
    With your straps X-ed like that, if one strap lets go the other strap does NOTHING to stop the car from going as far as it can in the direction of the strap that let go. I have seen it firsthand.
    There is zero reason to X the rear straps, it is dangerous.
