I completely understand our Captain trying to energy overcharge on the ladder, i find myself doing it too lol. After like 40 or so games on the PTR I'm actually finally convinced that energy overcharge might be better than battery overcharge. I do wish it was still an option to pick whichever one we want, though. Typical scenarios on live: i battery overcharge, terran stims and kills the battery in two marauder volleys. Or zerg drops 3 ravager biles. On ptr the battery has more survivability. And when muta or a ling runby come into your 4th or 5th base, being able to warp in a high Templar and instantly psi storm twice is way better than a battery overcharge. And in PvT having an early hallucination to scout with is very helpful. Guardian shield can help defend as well. Oracle energy boost is also very cool for defense or to put down stasis traps. However i still dislike a lot of the other changes (spore colony damage buff, immortal nerf, disruptor nerf) and i feel like changing too much at once might be too much for balance. Anyways this is an incredible game. Loved all the predictions ("he's gonna blink forward here") Kudos to the DT aggression. Very cute hallucinated archons at the end to get the faster gg hahaha Excellent match. Crazy base trade. I'm surprised that you didn't have post-youth veto'd for this video either. I always keep it veto'd, though i accidentally played it recently to when i reinstalled sc2 on a new computer and it hadn't saved my map picks. I also tried the 17 nexus but my opponent blocked the Nexus with a worker at the start so i ended up just being delayed the entire early game. Thanks to battery overcharge i survived into the mid-game and gained advantage with a couple positive trades and pulled out the W. It's an imbalanced map in my opinion but can be fun to play sometimes. I didn't like the stalemate-tier games it forces at the top level though (see: Maru vs Dark 1+ hour draw on post youth)
27:30 think you needed 2 observers earlier instead off an extra immortal, to setup proper scouting early midgame. its a minor investment after the first 2 immortals isnt it?' also once swarmhost hits and will do dmg, you need to counter punch them untill SH use their next wave to force you back, you allowed free dmg and kinda panicked. think mid and late game teleports are alpha omega on such a map, recall and mothership to relocated punish and respond; so having nexus and defence in preposition to where you want to teleport and fight from is needed, like Z and T has done for soooo long
This is the second video in my memory that harstem sings "Come on Eileen".
Let's hope this trend continues.
I can't remember which video it is but I think I remember that, too.
"we can dance if we want to" as well 😂
"Lets fake taking this base... then take it anyway" haha
Ranked 1 vee 1
Been watching the WC3 coaching series, you and Grubby have been doing, and I'm loving it. Keep it up!
