I don't think the build/strategy matters when it comes to smurfing. It's just a high level player on an alt account playing against lower level players. Overall the gg/no-gg ratio seems pretty decent, almost 2/3 ggs, but these last messages sure were a sour note on game 300... I honestly can't understand how people like this work so hard at the game and get so good, and then cry and poop their pants when they lose.
Ive learned a lot from you about how to deal with trolls. Language like that used to really bother me, but its a lot easier for me to move past now. I block them and move on, just like you do.

I really loved watching the Battlecruisers cruise by, do big damage, and peace out one by one, looked super cool! Poor guy couldn't appreciate the art that was happening.

Standard tryhard builds is where you pit your mechanics against the opponent. When you have better game knowledge than mechanics (i.e. that's not your main), you're going to do better with cheese.
It's an mmr that is currently suffering a lot from smurfing due to several content creators (uthermal, mana, heromarine to name some) doing it. Obviously KYS is never ok to say. But people at that mmr get smurfed on every few days.

Liquidpedia says they mine the same regardless of blue or gold. So I think the logic is keeping them relatively more safe by being at a forward blue base rather than the high target gold base

If you're in GM, does anyone count as a smurf? I get that the skill range in GM is massive from lowest to rank 1, but it seems strange. You're already in the highest bracket of the game.

Agreed, smurfing is when you intentionally lower your MMR to get matched with players below what matchmaker would give you.
The more you care about winning, the more bitter you are when you lose... it is common sense.

yes they count, the skill difference between Joe the platinum to low GM is lower than GM to actual pros.
