Glad you are doing well. That was an awesome day of fishing. I wish I could find a beach without many people on it. What reel type and size were you using? Thanks for the video!
@@Paul_T843 thanks so much man! The trick to finding less crowded beaches is to find state parks or other stretches of beach where you have to walk to get there. It’s the spots where you can just roll up and park that get super crowded in my experience. And not gonna lie I use top of the line saltwater reels because I like knowing they’ll never fail, but to be honest you don’t need nice stuff for surf fishing. The daiwa BG is a tried and true salt reel for $125. I use 5000-8000 size reels for this
Thanks for the info! I was actually looking at the BG. That and the Daiwa Exceler. Definitely gonna pick up some of those Fishbites the next time I get to the coast. They look a lot more convenient than a bag of squid, lol. I normally fish off of piers but really want to try surf fishing some more. It looks really fun.
Glad to have you back! Awesome video man, keep it up!
Health scares are a b*tch! Glad to see you back brother. Looking forward to more vids
@@AndrewAbashidze thanks brother! I’ve got about 4 vids worth of footage at the moment so I should be rolling out consistently again!
A great video buddy! Really enjoyed checking this out!
@@davidwilliams1805 thanks so much David! I got a lot more footage to edit so no shortage of vids anytime soon!
@@AikenAngling what size hook ?
@@mentaltoughness6365 when I tie my own I use 1/0 or 2/0 size, pretty sure the ones on these pre-made rigs were either 2/0 or 3/0!
@AikenAngling Thank you so much for the information on the hook size I appreciate
@@mentaltoughness6365 absolutely! My channel is still small enough I can almost always reply to comments! Always happy to share info!
