Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

I was able to slide the float over the hook. Instead of cutting the float I was able to slide the float and it stays pretty tight. If you don’t have to cut it and it may stay on the hook with minimal float loss.

It’s kind of a mix between the traditional dropper rig and the mortician rig. What I like about the mortician rig is there is a single line for the fish to see not 2 lines. It’s worked great! I'm tying my own setups now, following your videos.
I'm trying some things like orange earplugs I think they will hold up well, and I might be able to put them in a baggie with some fishgum and put them in ziploc bag and have them absorb some of the scent and flavors of the fishgum.
I am going to experiment with green ground wire nuts (which conveniently have a hole in the top to pass a fishing line through it). Now I will have to be on the lookout for pink (or just order some).

First I’d like to know more about how to get the over the bar 13’ rod please. I know you are right about how far out the fish are I’m just catching nothing and I see everyone who can go deep catching fish. I fish from Navarre to fort Pickens area.
Second can you do the video please making that rig as you offered to do. So are you keeping the regular sliding float on and then attaching the second one on the hook or taking the sliding float off and just putting the float on the hook? That part was confusing to me. If you can would like to see a picture of the float you are putting on the hook and where you got them.
