    The big advantage of the Beosound core is Multiroom. So you can add your old speakers to your setup

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, all three streaming setups will give you the ability to play multiroom, but the B&O Core allows seamless operation with other B&O smart speakers

    Hi, I wanted to replace my old turntable with a new one, thinking of project, but then while searching for classical music on vinyl I saw a Beogram 1600 for sale with a mmc20s cartridge. Probably both basic but I love it already. Same day I bought it. And now I am hooked. I know it's hard to find cartridges but mine still sounds good so I hope I can listen for awhile. Kind regards.

      Hi, that is a great choice, these are still superb turntables. I use Sound Smith cartridges on my Beograms at home, they aren't cheap but the sound quality is excellent.

      Awhile ago I could find a 20CL so now it's even greater. The only problem, how to check if the needle is still good. For now the music sounds great. So I think the needle is allright too.

    Hi Steve ,. I am a B&O sort of collector-restorer .Several years ago I had the idea of pairing a Biolab 6000 set of speakers with a Sony PS-F7 ...also known as the flamingo ..This turntable has a volume control and a preamp ..And a fantastic sound with a small size .. They look great ..Then i had the idea of getting another pair of Biolab 6000 and stack them up ..And i have a very tall set of speakers ..When you hear this system you can't locate the source of sound as it comes from everywhere ..

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, that sounds like a great idea, I had never thought of stacking Beolab 6000 speakers! Interesting to hear about the turntable with a volume control, that is unusual, I will check out that Sony deck!

    • @gimble447
      @gimble447 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@soundsheavenlyThe flamingo was designed as a portable record player, so it had an inbuilt speaker, hence volume control. It has Phono/rca line outs hence it is able to be used that way. It’s an iconic vertical design which is now highly collectible ( reminiscent of B&O in that respect I guess lol) You can say the same for lots of portable record players although I’d definitely not ever suggest plugging a 50quid Crosley into your Bang and Olufsen system 😂 on a side note not all turntables with preamps are switchable, the are live at all times, they are not common but do exist so just because there’s no switch doesn’t mean there isn’t a preamp in there, as ever always best to check the manual for your device 👍

    Quick question. I currently plug a rega turntable (via phono preamp) to a stereo pair of level speakers. I only need an rca to jack, and they impressively play in stereo without needing to plug the host speaker into the secondary one. Can I do the same with the Beolab 8? It doesn't have a jack lead what cables would I need to from the phono pre amp to connect to the Beolab 8?

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, yes you just need this adapter to link your existing minijack cable to the primary Beolab 8 speaker via the USB-C input to play to both speakers (this is available to UK and Europe only): soundsheavenly.com/tv-input/191-usb-c-audio-input-adapter-for-beolab-8-beosound-2-3rd-gen-theatre-a9-5th-gen-ref-6271374.html

      @@soundsheavenly that's very helpful many thanks I will buy one straight away. Out of curiosity - is there a way to operate the Turntable on both the Beolab 8 and Level speaker, would I need a streamer like the Bluenote or can the Mozart system, communicate to other B&O speakers through the app (I'm assuming that might be a tall order!)

    Hey Steve, firstly I want thank you for your incredible videos and effort.
    I have a pair of Beolab 28’s and want to explore the best of vinyl with them. Everywhere I look pushes you towards their wireless capability. However that maxes out at 24bit/96khz.
    I want to explore its wired/cabled ability. I wanted to enquire if you could convert a turntable into an optical signal with an amp and plug that into the mini jack on a parent 28, using the PL cable between them to stereo pair them?
    Is 32 bit/384khz possible?

    Hello Steve! I have a Beosound 8 (the iPod pin one) which I love (design wise) and think sounds pretty well... and I'm about to plug a new Cambridge Alva ST turntable with an integrated pre-amp either via RCA cable directly to the Beosound 8 or perhaps with a Bluetooth receiver RCA jack in the Beo8 and using the bluetooth from the Alva as well...
